Beautiful fan! Read for installation tips!!
I love this fan so much that I have TWO of them! I saw the reviews where people were having difficulties with the installation. It is my hope that my review can help others so that installation is a breeze like it was for us. First, just FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. They are better than most and in plain English. The hardware is marked in shape-coded bags that are provided in each step. Pay close attention to these shapes in every step and you’ll be fine! When mounting the ceiling bracket plate, we installed a thick washer on each screw anchor at ceiling before mounting plate, so that the small round cover would mount flush with ceiling. You will want to test the small cover against the plate holes to make sure they line up before you continue to second step!! Grab a couple of washers before you get started as we needed them for both fans, so this must always be an issue. When assembling the fan blades, you’ll want to screw the smaller, decorative 5-sided piece onto the side of the blade that you want pointing down (showing in your room) and place the bracket arm on the upper (non-visible) side of the blade so that the metal finish appears “INSIDE-OUT”!!! This is very important and is clearly illustrated in the directions. If you don’t, the bracket arm will rub on the light hood. Hold the fan blade with desired side down...line up the smaller piece underneath to the screw holes as you look down through them...line up the bracket on top, recessed side up, and insert the screws. (This will all make sense when you have in-hand.) When assembling with screws that must be anchored to notched-out slits in the metal framework, just back them out a little until the mounting will turn easily to set. You’ll see this in two sections of assembly. It sounds difficult. It ISN’T! My husband and I installed two of these fans in under two hours. You’ll want to purchase two 75-watt, 1100 lumens LED bulbs to replace the ones that the company provides, otherwise you won’t have much light at all through the thick, frosted globe. The directions explain clearly how to wire for one- or two-switch control as well. This fan is well-made, GORGEOUS and quiet. It’s PERFECT for my nautical theme decorating! Highly recommend!

Very solid fan for the price...
Love the look and feel of this fan. Perfect outdoor finishes and it feels sturdy and solid. Very quiet and gets good airflow. Not as much airflow as our indoor Kichlers but it’s mainly to circulate and blow out air from the covered patio while we grill. Assembly was overall painless, it just had more pieces to assemble than I’ve done before. But nothing difficult or frustrating, just a little extra tedious. Definitely recommend it for the price point.

LOVE the look of this fan
Shipping was very fast. Assembly was relatively simple, my husband was able to put it together in about 2 hours without any problems (he's never installed a ceiling fan before). LOVE the look of this fan! Lighting is great (we used two daylight LED bulbs) and air circulation is great. I wish they made this model is a smaller size as well as I would love one for our mud room!

Great fan, tips on how to attach blades....
Great Fan! Very quiet, moves air well. Like other reviewers have said, you do have to take the shade off in order to change the flow/direction but I've never used this feature with any other fan, so I doubt I will care too much about that. The lighting is extremely dim, more like mood lighting. Would definitely not be enough lighting for my living room if I didn't already have can lights. I typically put the fans together by myself, total time from start to finish is typically about 2 hours. I included some pictures to show how to properly attach the blades as it seems from other reviewers that this was a difficult thing for some.

Great buy
The Hunter 59135 Key Biscayne 54" indoor/outdoor ceiling fan is quiet and easy to install. The air out put is better than I expected, can feel the air completely across my screen in back patio. Took me about 1.5 hours to put it up from start to finish and that doing it alone with 8' step ladder. All in all its a good buy, now don't have to plug up several floor fans to move the air around.

Easy to install and really moves the air around
The fan arrived quickly, was easy to install, looks great, and works very well. Installation: The installation process was fast an easy. As someone who is pretty familiar with fan & light installation, it went up without any problems just by following the instructions closely. If you know how to follow directions, then this should be easy for just about anyone. I will say, I was working under pretty ideal conditions: brand new, fan-grade electrical box, with plenty of wire. Operation: The fan works flawlessly! At it's highest setting, it's pretty quiet and would fade into background noise quickly. And it moves air very well. On an 86-degree day in a room with poor air conditioning, turning on the fan immediately made the room feel cooler (probably by helping to circulate what little AC reached the room. The light uses 2 CFL bulbs that do take a few minutes to warm up to their full brightness. Once at that level, it gives off a decent level of light -- enough probably to read by in the room, but you might still be straining. Lighting is definitely more for ambiance than utility. Looks: The fan does look nice. The rustic blades and lamp are very attractive for our room. It does strike me as more of an outdoors-style fan, but it doesn't look completely out of place inside. For the room we're in (8-ft ceilings), it's probably hangs a little too low, even on it's shortest downrod option. But we're keeping it because it works great otherwise. Pros: Easy installation, moves air very well, looks nice Cons: No remote, lighting a little too dim

Beautiful and circulates air very well!!
After several years of complaining of our ceiling fan on our outdoor patio, I decided to purchase a new one. The most important feature I was looking for was air circulation. Being outdoors our previous fan was horrible, even though it was a high quality fan. It barely moved the air even on high! This fan was alittle difficult to install, but my husband is a wizard at most things, so fortunately he succeeded. When the time came to turn in on I was apprehensive on if we would even feel the air movement. We did!! It was a huge difference! So glad I chose this fan. The light does not put off a bright light, it is not a reading lamp. But it serves its purpose. The fan was the main factor and we were not disappointed!

Perfect addition to our little 1932 fixer-upper!
Likes: How stunning it is. Seriously. We aren't the type of people who like the standard "look" of things. We like texture, color, unique characteristics... If you've ever been to The Paris Market in Savannah, GA we are the people that say we want our home to feel like The Paris Market meets BHG/Southern Living meets Cracker Barrel Country Store(because of the ultimate coziness). Anyways, what I'm basically getting to is that we are very eclectic and cozy with our style and this fan fit PERFECTLY. We love the look of it. We also love the various speeds of the fan, we pretty much keep it on low all the time- especially this winter since we've had it on reverse and it 110% helps us circulate the head from our wood burning stove. We love it so much. Can't stress that. It was also pretty easy to install... I say "pretty easy" loosely because we had to go through some previous-home-owner stupidity to get it up, but the fan installation wasn't hard to assembly for my super handy and mechanically-minded husband. If you're not handy, well... I'm not sure. Dislikes: None. Yup. So obviously, we recommend.

Gorgeous!!!
This fan is spectacular in person - pictures don't do it justice. It looks gorgeous and performs well too. All the functionality you need and it's very quiet. Just a heads up when installing - they don't show it clearly but be careful when attaching the metal piece that holds the blades - it's very easy to think it's supposed to go one way when it really goes the other way. Look very carefully at the picture and which side is which. My installer put it on backwards and thought I had a defective part, but I went to the reviews and saw others had the same issue - he flipped it over and I was good to go! I love, love, love this fan. :-)

Looks better in person!
I had looked at this fan for a couple months before I decided to buy it, I only buy Hunter ceiling fans so I wasn't looking at any other brands. We live in Florida so we run our ceiling fans 24/7, Hunter ceiling fans seem to be the only ones that hold up for years without any noise. The only thing I wasn't crazy about this one was the yellowish light it was giving off with the bulbs that came with it, so I went to Walmart and bought the Great Value daylight 75-watt bulbs to install in it and they were perfect! The fan will take a 14-watt max bulb so if you're looking for something a little brighter you could install 2, 100 watt LED's. The look and durability is beautiful! I've gotten several compliments on it already!
