As a smoker, this eliminates ALL odors!!
I couldn’t be happier with this product! I’d wanted to quit smoking prior to getting a new 50k vehicle, but due to life stress the car ended up coming first. I’d never had leather interior before and wanted to keep my new car in tip-top shape, so I got a bunch of leather conditioners and cleaners and happened upon this product. I know many of the reviews say to dilute it, but if using this to cover and eliminate smoke odor, do not dilute. When I park my car I will spray it on the passenger mats and on the floor of the backseat. Every single time I get in my car it smells brand new and like it’s NEVER been smoked in. I will keep buying this product for as long as i’m a smoker!!

This is the best thing I have found to keep my car smelling ...
This is the best thing I have found to keep my car smelling new. I started using it when my car was new and , three years later, it still smells great! Albeit you have to keep the car CLEAN, vacuumed and don't smoke in it!!! If you buy a brand-new car (like I did) and don't be a slob leaving food and junk in your car, this stuff will keep your car smelling EXACTLY like the day you bought it. I bought my Corolla in Dec 2013 and, in March 2018, it still smells like it did the day I got it thanks to this. I get migraines so I cannot STAND anything sweet, floral, etc and definitely NOT those cheap, gas station air fresheners--yuck! This stuff is GREAT! Really smells JUST like a brand-new , CLEAN car smell. I spray this into the carpets, even in the trunk, and it keeps the whole car smelling great. On my second bottle. Lasts a good while if you only use it once or twice a month.

Smells like new car to me
I read most peoples reviews on here prior to ordering this product. Most are complaining that it doesn't smell like a new car without realizing new car scent is not technically a scent it is a MIXTURE of chemicals from the car such as the leather seats, glue used, , the plastics , etc.... in my opinion I actually like the smell it does smell like a mixture of those things. Every time someone gets into my car they always state it smells like you just drove off the lot. I will say the scent itself is strong so you can dilute it I however did not and it lasts for a very long time. Honestly this is the closet thing that I've found that smells like the "factory" unlike every other air freshener that claims to smell like a new car but just smells like perfume. I plan on buying this product again once I run out.

Best option is to dilute as advised by Manufacturer!
I have read most of the previous reviews before I decided to purchase this product. Also, after reading reviews, I wondered why no one has taken the advice and instructions from the manufacturer? They stated , the product can be diluted enough to make 2 gallons of spray. So I put that to the test. Now anyone can follow up on my math, but I took 2 gallons, which equals 128 oz's the Product itself is 16 oz's, Divide 128 by 16 = 8. So, I went further, instead of an 8:1 ratio, I diluted on a 16:1 ratio. Being ,16 ounces of water (distilled or otherwise) to 1 ounce of product. Worked perfectly!!!! Spray 10 to 15 sprays around the inside carpet and mats and trunk areas. After 1 day, it leaves a very subtle NEW CAR SCENT! So, get yourself an empty spray bottle and dilute this Product. 16 bottles of this Product from 1. Quite a deal!! I will see how long it will last. UPDATE: After about a week, the 16:1 dilution ratio lasted only 4 to 5 days. Next trail, instead of spraying 10 to 15 times, I sprayed only 3 to 4. It lasted a few days also. But the scent is a subtle New Car Scent and not overwhelming. Maybe an 8:1 ratio will extend the lasting affect, however it may be a slightly stronger scent for those with a sensitive sense of smell. This is strong stuff, so please dilute it for best results! Great value for the money. I'm staying with the 16:1 ratio and just refresh with 1 spray a day.

You just found the Best "New Car" air freshener on the market!
The Dealer lied to ME! LOL! They said I'd never achieve my new car smell again because it's a combination of the materials used to make the car! WRONG! The "Chemical Guys" achieved it! Closest to the "real" new car smell! I'm almost positive this is one of the only authentic "new car" air fresheners on the market! I've tried many, and-they ALL fall short! You can't go wrong with the price as well as I'm sure this bottle will last forever. I've had mine for nearly 4 months and it looks as if i've nearly used it! It's bigger than I expected. (I only need 1 or 2 sprays for my SUV) Most Air freshener bottles are small. This one is decent size. The bottle is simple but nicely designed. The nozzle does have the option to spray or shut so it doesn't leak. I always keep mine in the back of the car so I have it handy when I pass through the carwash after work! Never had an issue with leaks.I Love their products! I purchased this and their "Inner Clean- Interior Cleaner" I love that one too! No gloss, just a nice matte clean finish with nice fragrance too!

Seriously - just one spray will do it...
Bought a used truck that must have belonged to the Marlboro man himself. Which by the way, I have learned from the stored devices on the radio that he refers to himself as "Big Al". Anyways... This truck smelled so bad. I changed the in cabin air filter, took most of the dash apart to remove the hidden ashes, vacuumed the carpet, seats, headliner, and then followed that up with 2 rounds of shampooing. It helped...a little. Then I misted some white vinegar on all above stated surface. After leaving that sit for about a week, the cigarette smell was about 95% gone. Unfortunately, the vinegar smell had replaced it. So, after much research, I found this stuff! Because it was my first application, and I had a really strong smell to contend with, I sprayed 3 sprays in the truck and then one mist into the HVAC intake vent by the windshield just to help clean out the vents. After sitting there all day with the windows open, I closed it up and went to bed for the real test the next morning. As I opened the door, with my eyes closed, I could have sworn that I had just opened the door to my brand new 2018 SIlverado!!! It smelled soooo darnnnn good! It is absolutely the closest thing to a new car smell that I have ever found in my 20+ years of driving. The vinegar smell has never returned and neither has the olfactory memory of Big Al. About every 2 to 3 weeks now, I spritz about a half of a spray in there just to keep it nice and fresh.

Unique pleasant scent that's very close to new car
Every other air freshener I've tried labeled "new car" was just another scent that smelled as much like new car as "waterfall" or "mountain" and other such scents smelled like their namesakes. Not this. This is something different. I can understand now why reviewers mentioned most of the wide variety of scents they compared this too (new electronics, plastic, etc.), except I don't know why so many people said it smelled like bleach. I sprayed about four sprays on the floor in the front and back seats of my 2011 Ford sedan. At first I was unsure whether I liked the scent and was not enjoying it on my nearly four hour trip, though that may be because I sprayed a little too much and/or because it completely destroyed any trace of the amazing upholstery cleaner scent that I used a few weeks ago. Then, the next day, it was different. My car smelled brand new inside (this may have been the immediate result if I sprayed less)! It was not exactly as I remember new cars smelling, but wow--close enough! I keep my car in detailed condition all the time. This scent would be out of place and disconcerting in a dirty interior IMO. After 2-3 days the scent relaxes a bit and smells "neutral," though I realize that makes no sense (hopefully you know what I mean). The deodorizing properties are magical as far as I'm concerned. Even though I sprayed it only on the carpet, it somehow took the upholstery cleaner scent (which was itself supposed to be a deodorizer!) out of the seats entirely. Hopefully, it does that for scents I actually want to get rid of, if I ever have that problem. If you prefer fruity, lavendar, vanilla, etc. (all of which I strongly dislike) over "chemical" smells, this is probably the wrong air freshener for you. If you want a fresh, pleasant scent that mimics new car outgassing, I suggest this with the caveat that everyone's sense of smell is different, so you never know. It is strong though, so just spray sparingly at first and then to scent.

Incredible!
I just got a great deal on a newer car because it smelled like an old ashtray. Seriously, the previous owner must have chain smoked with the windows up! I have never smelled a car even half that bad. The dealer tried everything to get rid of the smell but finally ended up just slashing the price. I used Chemical Guys "New Car Smell" one time and the smell was almost gone. I sprayed some on a rag and wiped the headliner, seats, carpets, etc... Then I ran the AC and sprayed some under the dash where the intake is. One treatment and the smell was about 85% gone. I waited a few days then repeated the same treatment and now the smell is completely gone! Thanks Chemical Guys.

Works perfectly; but use it SPARINGLY! UPDATED after 1 year.
I was hesitant to try this product due to the mixed reviews. I'm really glad I decided to give it a try! My car has seen family road trips, diaper changes in the back seat, spilled juice boxes, etc. After using this product, my car smells awesome. No, it's not an EXACT perfect match for "new car" -- but it is definitely the closest I have ever found and I will be using this product again and again to keep my car smelling new. Definitely listen to the other reviewers and DILUTE this stuff first, and use it SPARINGLY. Seriously, a little goes a long way. I suspect a lot of the negative reviews are a result of using way too much product. I diluted about 10 sprays into about a 1/2 cup of water in a separate spray bottle. Then I sprayed the floor mats and the backs of the seats, and left my car with the windows open to air out for a few hours. When I came back, it smelled like a car I was taking for a test drive. :) So far, it's been 3 days since I used it, and we have taken a few family trips to the pool. I was worried about the chlorine smell from wet bathing suits, etc eliminating the "new car" smell, but it hasn't and my car still smells great. I'll update when the smell finally needs refreshing. At around $10, the initial investment is higher than the cheap air fresheners that you might pick up at a big box store, but this bottle will last me a very long time. I diluted 10 sprays into a smaller bottle of water, and used probably a fifth of it for one application, so you can figure about 2 sprays per use. I will definitely recommend this product to others when they ask me how I keep my car smelling so good! UPDATE: So, I am terrible about using this regularly... I have a toddler and a newborn and the car almost never gets a good spray down. I've used this spray only a few times over the last year, and my car STILL smells good. I just thought to update this review because a friend got into my car the other day and said "wow... how does your car still have new car smell??" I actually laughed because it's been MONTHS since I've sprayed this stuff. Amazing...

10/10 would buy again and again
This stuff is beyond perfect. I spray it under my seats and the whole car smells like new. This is actual new car smell, not some other weird scent other places like Auto Zone tries to sell. People get in my car and still think it is new. This is what you want if you want to extend your new car smell into the next year and after. I will be a return buyer after mine runs out. Keep making this!
