We are so glad we purchased a second car seat base. This base is super easy to install. It’s basically fool proof. Even though it’s super easy to install and uninstall, it’s worth buying a second base so you don’t have to constantly remove the base from one car to another. Makes life with a baby just a little bit easier

Safety matters

We bought the Uppababy travel system for our baby and absolutely love it. We bought a second base so we have a base in both cars. Super easy to install and very secure. I love the level window that shows the seat is installed properly. I have less anxiety driving with the baby because I know this is a solid piece of equipment. I also love the carseat itself can be used without a base in emergencies. Directions on how to use this way are printed/shown on the seat itself.

Easy to Install Even if You’re not Familiar with the Car

This is SUPER easy to install. It literally takes less than 2 minutes to get into an UBER. We traveled with our little one to NYC and found this really easy. I initially had a lot of angst around taking a car seat but this base can easily latch onto hooks in most backseats. Alternatively, the base can be strapped in via seatbelts but we never had to do this.

Buy. This.

Seriously, don't waste your money buying two carseats or some other nonsense. Just buy this. Leave one in every car, and you never have to worry about which car you last used w/ the baby. Do you want to drive halfway to work, only to realize that you've got the baby's carseat base in your car, and your sleep-deprived wife will strangle you if she finds out she can't leave the house? You do not. Trust me, it's not pretty.z Save yourself the hassle, and buy the stupid base. It works great, it's secure, what more do you need to know?

Simple installation

We have been using the MESA base for a couple of months now and love how easy it is to install in the car. With our first child we used the Britax B Safe car seat and base and have found the MESA to be much easier to install. The set up is intuitive and simple. Easy to transfer between cars if needed.

Great quality, easy to install

Great quality, easy to install, very secure. We debated ordering an extra base because the UPPAbaby car seat can be installed using the seatbelt so additional bases aren't necessary. However when my husband installed the original base he was so impressed with the security that he wanted an additional one for our other vehicle. We got it as an open box deal for a discount

Good car seat base!

Love the UppaBaby stroller and car seat. The base is great and came quickly. Their products are a bit pricey but good quality. Pleased so far with the base. It can be difficult to “level” and get the green to show in all spots on the car seat base. Not sure how this will hold up over time since it is still fairly new.

As one of the other reviewers mentioned, I believed that the level was defective as well. However, the only "levels" are on the side of the base and they work fine. The green/red piece on the top is NOT a level and will not turn green until both the hooks are latched on and the unit is pressed down. Apparently if you are using the seat belt restraints that part will never be green. They didn't do a good job differentiating in the manual and I thought it was a defective unit too. It was just a defective user. That said, the base is EXTREMELY easy to install and it's what you need if you have the Mesa.

Works well in all sized vehicles.

Works well and easy to pop in an out of a car. The level sensors are nice and it's nice to have several attachments for hooking it to your car. We have noticed that it's a bit wigglier in some cars than others, but he's still very secure in there.

Crazy easy to install / balance / remove / reinstall / port to another car / etc. And doesn't mess up leather.

Best car seat "base" there is. My fav't part is that it is a solid flat bottom. I bought this specifically to not damage my leather seats as I carted my nephews around one weekend and have permanent lines in the leather where the carseat edge imprinted itself forever. This carset has been in my car now for 2 months and has zero evidence of such. It's rad!
