I don't really NEED this, but being a short person I tend to have trouble reaching things that fall behind a couch, down the back of the bed, etc. The kids had a toy grabber that I just couldn't really do much with (although it came in handy at times) so I finally got on here and got this. This grabber is great! I can pick up really weird stuff with it, reach things that I normally can't, and it's so strong and sturdy. I have tried picking up so many different things that end up on the floor with kids. And yes, it even picks up a coin! I'm extremely happy with this purchase. :)

Love This Grabber

Due to a current medical condition, I am unable to bend over to pick items up off the floor. I got this grabber and hoped it would assist me with little everyday tasks like picking up dog toys, laundry, dog dishes, items accidentally dropped, etc. Let me tell you, this has been a life saver. Not only am i able to pick up those things and more but I am truly amazed at how wonderful this simple item is. I've picked up pieces of paper and, unbelievably, lint and even a tiny scrap of cellophane that I noticed on the carpet. This grabber is exactly what I needed and I'm so glad I got it.

Grabber

I love this. I fell and couldn't bend over to pick stuff up or get clothes out of my washing machine. It picks up almost anything unless it is very heavy. Even then it can be manipulated to bring something closer to you. Such as a book or blanket. It might be too heavy to pick up but you can grab with it like a hand. It will pick up small stuff too like forks or batteries that have fallen on the floor. Plus you can reach stuff high up in cupboards if you need a cup and safely get without breaking anything. I don't know how I lived this long without it. I will keep using it even after my leg heals.

I just had hip surgery (labral repair) and this grabber has become one of my best purchases. It has really helped me be somewhat independent. It also gives me a lot of peace of mind in case my crutches tip over (I’m not supposed to bend over) - I just use the grabber to pick them up again. The only product improvement I would make is perhaps to make the tips able to pick up smaller slicker objects (like my phone) and to make the handle in a way so that it could hook over surfaces so that I don’t have to worry about the grabber itself falling over. Btw, I am 5”3 and got the 32” and it is the perfect height for me. If I were above 5”5, the taller grabber would be needed.

Multi Task Problem Solver

This is a great help to my mother. It does not have the "ratchet" feature (or LED light) that I have seen on the "As Seen On TV" type model, but the "trigger" style grip is comfortable, and the grabber is cushioned and adjustable for vertical or horizontal uses. It is made with metal wiring to open/close the grip, which will last much longer than the cotton or nylon string used in other types. I am not sure there is an "ideal" type tool for everyone, but this model helps solve many needs that my mother has throughout the day. Many thanks to the seller also. It arrived on time, and for a great price :-) The seller has sent a follow up message to make sure all was well, and that was very reassuring also. I would highly recommend the product, and the seller.

Best Hand Reacher I Have Ever Used

Over the years I have used various hand reacher products from different sellers. This RMS Hand Reacher is by FAR the best I have ever used. Not only does the head rotate, but it locks in place when it is rotated. To rotate the head, pull it slightly away from the square tube, rotate it, and then push it back into place, where it locks. It will remain in that location until you pull it out to rotate it to a new position. It is also has a square tube that is much stronger than the other hand reachers I have used. I have been able to pick up much heavier objects without fear of dropping them. I liked it so much, I bought several more to put in my dressing room, bedroom, and office. I am confined to a wheelchair due to a back injury, and this RMS Hand Reacher has made my life so much easier. I expect it to last much longer than the others I have tried. I rarely leave product reviews, but in this case I felt compelled to spare others the time and disappointment of trying other hand reachers before they discovered this one.

Sturdy and well built. Easy to use. Long enough to reach those hard to reach places. Update. 3-27-2015 Have had this quite a while and have abused it throughly and it still works. Very happy. Just ordered 3 more. The abuse was...using it to retrieve wet laundry out of our front loader washing machine and those wet towels are quite heavy. Didn't expect it to survive that but it did it with flying colors. Though it will not lift the wet towels but it got the towels dragged out so I could grab them with my hand. Only issue is...I didn't have enough and had to keep running around looking for where I left it last. Reason for ordering 3 more. Very happy customer.

Get a Grip!

Great for use in the kitchen for my short wife, as well as myself since I just had surgery and can't bend over. It would be better if it opened the jars for you. But that's another product. Keeps a good grip both for the jar or box, as well as my wife. Way safer than a step ladder (I should know), and handy.

Works Great!

I've had other grabbers that did not close or hold an item I tried to retrieve. It's not fun when it dropped a can on the floor, denting it and couldn't pick it up. But not with this grabber. It does everything I need it to do. It's well made and quite sturdy. The handle works well for me even though I have arthritis in my hands. Well worth the cost. Happy with this purchase.
