I like it!
Not as much power as I had hoped but does the job. This is now my 'go-to' blower. Still have the heavy back-pack gas one around for tasks like blowing leaves off the whole yard but this Dewalt battery one is fine for blowing off the hard surfaces during the weekly lawn maintenance activities. Just grab and blow... which is what I LOVE. I have yet to actually use it enough at one time to kill a battery (using 5 AH batteries). I also took it to work (I build new homes) and used it blow out a 3 car garage with a fair amount of debris in it for which it worked just great - much better than sweeping. In an effort to coax a little more power out of the blower I found that a 3"x2" PVC pipe reducer coupling fits on the 'business end' (although just a little tight) but I can't necessarily say that it increases the effectiveness of the blower. For now I'm opting to not use the PVC fitting on the end because I have to wonder if it might put an extra load on the motor... All in all I do recommend this blower for a homeowner who has a smaller property and doesn't need a blower that will run for longer periods of time. The only I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the power. Update: I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this blower. The convenience of battery over gas is the main reason. I can definitely say my garage and patio are cleaner. And, I still have not had a battery die mid task. Granted I do charge every once in a while. I bumped my rating from 4 to 5 stars for my current feeling of delight. If you don't get this blower, buy some other battery powered brand.

Exceeded My Expectations
I own a corded Toro blower/mulcher combination that works great, but is so cumbersome to use and change from blow to vacuum mode, I never use it. I researched several similar cordless (battery) versions, and even though I knew it wouldn't be as powerful as the Toro, I wanted something light and cordless. I didn't know how well it would work (or for how long), but mine arrived today and it performed beyond ALL my expectations (plus I'll actually use this one, since it's lightweight and doesn't have a cord to deal with). I cleaned all around my house (even being able to blow the large pile of leaves I had made just as I was finishing up), cleaned off the sidewalks, blew years worth of spider webs off the sides of the house (thanks to the California drought), and out of my cypress trees and boxwood hedges. Blowing the spiderwebs off the sides of the house was almost laughably easy, and MUCH easier than with water (which made them stick to the sides). Then I blew out my garage and driveway and STILL had power (all this took maybe 20 minutes). At the end I decided to blow out my garden kitchen floor, and it still had so much power (after everything else) it even lifted the rug in front of the door off the floor after. I wasn't expecting that kind of power even at the beginning of using this on a charge, but at the end, surprised me. I'm very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone. It's so lightweight and easy to use (and cordless) I'll be using it a few times a week instead of (grudgingly) twice a year. If something changes, or the battery charge or blowing power diminishes in time, I'll update my review then. In the meantime, I can't recommend this strongly enough.

This things BLOWS (in a good way)!
I have 8 DeWALT 20 V Max tools, and just purchased this blower... so 9 now. I researched all of the DeWALT cordless blowers, and this one seemed to suit our needs the best. It's significantly less expensive than the 40V or the new 60V FlexVolt blower - and if the job's really big I breakout my Mac Daddy Stihl backpack 340 blower. I love having a cordless blower so I can roam around our property with hassling with a cord. I REALLY like the speed control on this blower... very sensitive, and I like being able to just squeeze the trigger a little to blow debris away from sensitive areas like flower beds, etc. without blowing the dirt everywhere with too much air. The large blow tube is nice, because it puts out a large wide column of air at a max of 90 MPH - which is plenty unless I'm blowing off huge quantities of fallen leaves in the spring or fall that require the big Stihl backpack blower. I also really like the stand that allows me to set the blower down and have it upright and ready to pick up again. DeWALT's brushless MAX line of cordless tools are the best things ever for the home handyman! I use my collection all the time, and I really like having a common battery that will work in all of them. I have 8 4A batteries and 2 2A ones that came wth the various tools, and each battery has its own charger - so I never have a dead battery problem. This blower comes with a 5A battery that is the exact same external size as the 4A ones, and it's own charger. I haven't run the battery all the way down yet - but I blew for probably 25 mins yesterday and the battery was still going strong when I stopped. Brushless motors ROCK! Well done, DeWALT! Highly recommended! I'm also considering the DeWALT 60V FlexVolt Chain Saw, to replace my aging Stihl chainsaw.

We have three big trees and they shed leaves pretty frequently.
Purchased this to clear leaves and debris in my ~1,000' sqft backyard... We have three big trees and they shed leaves pretty frequently... This did the job well for clearing up my backyard... In addition, it did a fantastic job blowing away dirt, debris, and particles on my driveway and front yard... I bought this without the battery/charger since I already had two DCB206 (20v 6Ah) batteries, as well as the DCB102 dual charging station... I'm happy, thus far, with the amount of CFM (cubic feet per min), weight (even with the 6Ah battery), and adjustable throttle for adjustable airflow output... The noise decibel isn't bad, either... A wonderful addition to my growing Dewalt tool inventory!!!

Great Product
I purchased this as a "tool only" product based on some reviews concerning the charger and the battery capacity that comes with the kit. I purchased a kit of two 6.0 ah 20v flex-volt batteries (DCB606-2) and a fast charger (DCB118) separately. Very pleased with this blower, I have been strictly a 2-stroke gas blower kind of guy for years and was skeptical about battery operated blowers. Not any more. This is perfect for everyday use and sure beats a broom. I have a large patio pool deck all concrete, a large driveway and concrete walks connecting them all. Further I have 5 mature oaks a few maples, dogwoods, cherries, plum trees, a large tulip poplar, etc. (you get the picture) around my property. So needless to say something is falling from the sky year round. This makes quick work of cleaning off all of these surfaces. I just grab it and go, no pulling a cord, no mix gas, it is very convenient. The 6.0 ah battery lasted me about 45 minutes at full charge. The fast charger, re-charges them in about an hour, with two going I could probably blow all day if I wanted to. The power is good enough such that it'll blow small sticks, acorns and other debris as well as leaves. Great for a light cleanup. I think I will still need a good backpack blower to handle the big stuff come fall, but this is great for everyday use.

WAY better than Black & Decker alternatives
I've used battery-powered hard-surface blowers from Black & Decker for years to blow leaves and dirt off my garage floor, driveway, walks, and patio — first the older non-lithium model, then the lithium ones, and they've always been incredibly useful but underpowered. I thought it just wasn't possible to get more power out of a battery-powered blower. I was wrong. By a lot. This (...I'm so sorry) blows them away. It's not even close. This is incredible. I can't believe I wasted years NOT owning this. If you need this category of product — and if you're a homeowner, you can probably use it — buy this one. You won't be disappointed.

What I like most is the variable speed trigger
I needed a blower that was light weight, compact, cordless, but powerful enough to blow leaves and debris off our front porch and walkways. I have other 20V Dewalt products and have been extremely impressed with their battery life and quality, so I decided to give this a try. Received it this morning, charged the DCB205 battery in the DCB115 charger it came with and gave it a try. It is light weight, quieter than I anticipated and was powerful enough to remove wet leaves and debris from our front porch, walkways and driveway. What I like most is the variable speed trigger. I can start at a low speed and ramp it up as needed avoiding any blower kickback that I absolutely hate. While our weekly landscaper will take care of the big stuff, during the fall, I like to keep our deck, front porch and our walkways clean in between their service. Hate tracking all that stuff into the house. This blower will make it so easy to do that. My old plugin electric blower is on its way to Goodwill.

Won't replace a backpack gas blower, but for me has been best in class.
This replaces my two GreenWorks battery blowers and I am very pleased with the DeWalt. I like that the included battery is a 5-amp-hour battery. These devices suck down the juice of a battery pretty quickly but the large capacity helps. Also, DeWalt's batteries for me have all been far superior to the others in how long a charge lasts, and how long the batteries themselves last. Best part: the battery fits my other DeWalt tools. Even with multiple batteries, I would not recommend this for commercial use...the air volume just isn't enough. Also, I don't know how well it will work trying to rake leaves as piles begin to build up. For everything else I've used it on, it works far better than other battery blowers I've had.

Outperforms the Greenworks competition with only half the voltage
Background: I'm a typical suburban home owner. I've been through a variety of 18v/36v/40v Black & Decker, and more recently, Greenworks 40v outdoor tools. As of this week when I got this blower, my outdoor tool rack and charging area (along with a chainsaw and mower), is definitely green themed. I was very impressed with this blower. My current champion of blowing is the Greenworks brushless 40v blower. The Greenworks is full featured with a tube and bagger that lets it mulch leaves, and has a positively huge 40v 4ah battery on it. The DeWalt performs similarly however, while being smaller with a lighter/smaller tool battery... in fact it outlasted the Greenworks (see below). One thing I really see when comparing the two is that the Greenworks has a long necked-down tube with the statement "185 MPH" on it... what they fail to mention is the CFM which probably isn't that great. The DeWalt, on the other hand, has a large tube all the way out and the output covers a much greater area. They both have similar overall output/usefulness, and both have roughly the same sound level... the Greenworks has more of a "classic" blower sound, while the DeWalt, with its' turbine/jet style setup, has more of a high pitched buzzing sound. One thing I really liked on the DeWalt is the instant-on trigger versus the Greenworks. To start the DeWalt, just squeeze. To start the Greenworks you have to push the power button, push the turbo button (to get full power), THEN dial up a speed on the wheel (there's not a trigger). Here's a real-world battery test. I timed both blowers at full possible speed and what I judge to be comparable outputs. DeWalt blower on full throttle, Greenworks on full, plus "turbo" button engaged. Greenworks run-time: 12:17 Dewalt run-time: 19:23 So, yeah, the DeWalt ran for half again as long. The Greenworks was left cooling down while I used the DeWalt all over the back yard. After the test was complete, both batteries were warm but not hot and the cutoff on both was electronic/immediate. They also both started out on the chargers with overheat/cooldown warnings on the charger before they would charge. That seems a common theme with li-ion battery setups. pros: great run-time especially considering the tiny battery it uses wider/larger coverage while providing similar "oomph" as a comparable blower that is necked down no power-on and turbo buttons... pull the trigger, get instant-on full power. compares favorably/reasonable with a tool that is double the power/voltage. cons: no extra features/options. This is just a blower, nothing more. Not really a con depending on what you expect still fairly loud... comparable to other electric blowers... has a buzzy sound
