Excellent Set - love these grinders! Beautiful finish, nice enough to put out on a dining room table yet sturdy enough for everyday use as well! The Pepper grinder has five settings and really works well as I LOVE fresh ground pepper on almost anything! My using Mediterranean Sea Salt instead of table salt made my Doctor happy so that is in the Salt Grinder now... really great purchase!

Makes a lovely gift - Highly Recommend

Only have had these a couple of weeks, but so far I am loving them. Had a Walmart brand Pepper grinder for a few years and wanted to treat myself to something nice and I must say this is a HUGE step up. No comparison! The wood is handsome and the grind on these are amazing. Watch the video if you want to see how it works. I love how easy it is to refill. Just pop the top off and fill. No screwing or unscrewing or tiny parts. The salt grinding mechanism is ceramic, not cheap metal. It comes with salt and pepper, but you can get what you want to customize. I can't wait to run out so I can get Fleur de Sel salt to try and Telicherry pepper.

An Excellent Choice

I have had these for a month now. The things that I love about them so far are their looks, their size and the ability to adjust the courseness of the salt or pepper. If they serve me well into the future which I suspect they will, they are perfect

Fine dining mills well crafted!

A tiny bit pricey, but for me worth it. The mills are well crafted. The grinders are smooth and the salt and pepper flow nicely. Heads are very easy to turn and remove to fill. I can say this with confidence for someone bothered with mild periodic arthritic symptoms of stiffness and pain in wrists and fingers! It is a beautifully crafted set housed in a very classy glossy black hard cardboard case nice enough for a gift for a friend. As a casual gift, it needs no wrapping. Thank you.

If you are into fresh ground salt and pepper then these two well thought out and high quality items should enhance any kitchen counter and dinning room table. No one size grinds all here the salt and pepper have unique internal workings based on the task at hand. When you know the difference identifying salt from pepper is easy from a distance. Once you discover the inside the outside quality is complimentary.

Easy to use, fill, and change courseness. A little pricey, but very nice. Nice box. Elegant/classic/modern style.

Pleasing to the eye and well functioning as well.

This is far from an "out of the box" review. I've had these grinders for some time now. They're everything I wanted. Pleasing to the eye on an aesthetic level, but functions well too. I have mine adjusted to give very finely ground pepper and salt and, that is exactly what I get. Easy to refill and maintain. As mentioned by others, yes, there will be some residue under the grinders where you set them down after using them. This I solved by getting a display stand for the grinders to sit on.

Good looking and good working

These look very nice on my dining table, and placed in the matching tray, they are easy to move from one table to another. They both work better than any other salt and pepper mills I have ever owned. I would buy another set to replace the salt and pepper mills I now have in my spice cabinet except for one thing: these are simply too tall to go there.
