Fixed my couch!

So I’m usually way too lazy to rate everything I purchase from Amazon but this product has been amazing! Our sofa is kinda old but besides soft/saggy cushions it’s in great shape and we love the style so would much rather fix/keep the issue instead of purchasing a new one. A few years ago when we first noticed the couch was getting uncomfortably soft we went to an upholstery company and had the two cushions replaced for about $300. It worked well and I was happy we didn’t have to buy a new couch. Until a year and a half later when they became unsupportive again. I tried all kinds of things underneath the cushions but none worked well and my cushions were sliding all over the place every day. I assumed it was time to get a new couch but then found this product. I honestly didn’t think it would fix the prob but it was reasonably priced and much cheaper than similar options so I figured it was worth a try. You guys, it works amazingly well. I took a little elbow grease to get the foam into the casing but totally worth it! Our couch is like new! I did add a layer of cardboard in between the original cushion because we like a pretty firm couch but most people probably wouldn’t need to. More than worth the price!

Our couch had lost a lot of its support and had become almost unbearable to sit on. I purchased this foam at a cheaper price than I found in craft stores. I didn't have very high expectations to be honest. There was no smell and it was packaged nicely so no damage to the foam. I am happy I went with the high density. It feels like a new couch. We had someone stay over one night and she slept on the couch and said it made a big difference from when she had slept on it previously. Just keep in mind, high density IS very firm! There is almost no give to it. Is has been on our couch for two months and it has not softened up at all.

Confused Which Cushion To Use? This May Help.

If you are like me, you've been reading through all this info about density, and compression, and so forth trying to decide which size and type cushion might work best for your project. The specs provide a good bit of info, but not necessarily all that useful unless one already has some experience with these things. I certainly didn't - the cushions I recall from the 70s squished flat as soon as any weight at all hit them. So perhaps my experience will help your decision. I have a power recliner in which I spend a good bit of time due to disability. I'm a big guy, weighing in at 275 lbs. As much as I love my 1.5x-usual-width chair, it could have been padded much better. It was causing me pain and skin irritations. I looked at the price of new, better chairs then soon began looking at cushions. After much confusion, I finally decided I'd just have to try one, and go from there. Because I am heavy, I worried that many of these cushions might not be up to the task. I almost decided upon one of the 4" sizes but worried that it might not want to fit the chair properly. This three-inch one seemed right. I could not have chosen any better. This is a firm cushion, and supports weight easily. And comfortably. They rate it as density 1.8, 36lb compression. Yes, different from the 1.4 density here, I bought same brand, but higher density from a different Amazon seller. If you want softer, this 1.4 may be the right choice, I don't know.. I know they call this medium density, but I can't imagine anyone wanting a cushion firmer than this one, and I like firm. Chances are that you will be happy with the 1.8 cushion. If it were something I was going to lay on a hard, flat surface to sleep on, then the 4' makes sense, and I'd consider it. For my recliner needs, this 3" was the right choice. A sofa re-born!

Purchased this to firm up the very worn down cushions on our sofa. I had bought the sofa 9 years earlier as the centerpiece to my living room, putting it through more than its fair share of TV watching, friends hanging out/napping, countless meals, and almost anything else condo living called for from my days of being a bachelor to marriage. But after all those years of faithful service, the balance of comfort and firmness significantly sunk away with my wife eyeing the [hopeful] possibility of finding a replacement living room set... So enters the FoamTouch Cushion. Given I was just trying to add density to the cushions rather than fully replace them, the 2 in. depth was perfect. The delivery arrived promptly and within a half hour of opening the box, the pieces were cut and stuffed onto the bottom-side of the cushions with minimal mess nor effort - a basic pair of scissors will do the trick! It's like I fell in love all over again...with the sofa. The cushions literally now sit as though they are brand new, so much so that my wife said it before I even could! And if her disappointment in their success is any indication of how well the foam works, then you'd be hard pressed to find a better replacement! My favorite sofa lives on and for pennies on the dollar!

As I mention in my video, I used this foam to make a protective padded case for my drone. It's clearly designed for cushions and upholstery, but you can use it for many things. I used a simple razor blade to cut the foam, and it cut like butter. Very easy to work with. NOTE that it's not bright white like in the photo, but actually yellowed when it arrived. That didn't bother me, but you might care about such things. It's nice foam, affordable and easy to use.

Great for my needs

It was perfect for what I needed for my sofa. I just cut it and placed under the cushions. Yes it showed but with a nice sofa blanket draped over the cushions it was perfect. Added enough support I can now get off the sofa with out struggles.

YES! it's high density and a GREAT value.

I am a proffessional upholster and have worked with many types of foams and there densities, this by far is one of the best ones I have used yet. It is a high density which is so important if your going to be using frequently, it will give your seating longevity and firm comfort. I will continue purchasing this brand for most of my clients needs.

This foam was perfect for my project! I wanted to replace the inside of my couch cushions due to cheap padding and feeling nothing but springs after less than 2 years with my sectional. I ordered this foam, an electric knife, and cut to size using the old inside as measurement. I washed my microfiber couch covers and pillow covers, replaced with this foam and it looks and feels brand new again. Not as hard as I thought it would be, but feels perfect when sitting on it.
