The Arlo mount has a stronger magnetic grip than the Dropcessories mount.

I have bought both the Dropcessories brand mount and the similar looking Arlo brand mount. (The "Arlo by Netgear Table/Ceiling Mount") The magnetic grip on the Arlo brand mount is much stronger. The grip on the Dropcessories brand mount is a bit too weak, and wind or vibration can cause the camera to slowly drift until it is pointing at the ground.

Get what you paid for.

I'm using this on outside. After considering cheaper versions, I ended up spending extra money on this. The main reason is the fact that this is made of metal. I don't think the plastic ones will last that long, especially under the hot sun. Joint where you can adjust the angle of the camera is very sturdy and has not moved since installation. It's a high quality. It's still way too expensive for what it is. I think they could have saved paper on packaging and made this cheaper.

VERY solid--well built

I had one come with my Arlo package but I ordered three after-market for 1/3 of the price...Once I had both mounts in hand I promptly returned the other mounts and ordered 2 more of these. The quality of these is *far* superior to the knock offs. These mounts will work with the camera plugged into power--the other mounts had a large white knurled knob that would have required filing/cutting to make it work. These are solid and well worth the extra money--I"m sure the others may be okay for inside work but the weight and quality of these are worth the extra money.

Useful option

We didn't want to use the magnetic mount included with our Arlo Pro since we were mounting outdoors. Having a black option is also handy since we were using the black silicone skin on our camera. The mount is very adjustable and easily affixes with 3 screws.

Works well. It’s pricey, but worth it. I get notified pretty dang fast on my iPhone when someone walks up to my front door. I love the fact I can talk to whoever is at my door in real time. (Side note: I love yelling random slang verbiage to my wife when she’s walking up to the front door lol.)

Quality mount that allows a permanent plug in for power

The Arlo mount coupled with the Wasserstein weatherproof cable is the perfect combination to achieve a endless power supply. The plastic nut on the mount fits perfectly with a cable plugged in. This is ideal for my commercial application. I can increase sensitivity on both the video and sound without having to worry about draining the battery from all the recordings. Very happy with this product. Also, just want to mention, i have cheaper off brand mounts at my home that work very well. However those cameras are not plugged in 24/7.

Stick with the Netgear Mount and you will be much happier

I bought a lot of these mounts and they work great. Excellent quality and easy to install. They are also easy to adjust and will hold your camera in place without a problem. Beware of the cheaper models for less money. I bought two of them (cheaper models by brand X) and they are going into the trash. Screws broke off and couldn't get them to tighten down properly. The Netgear model is well worth the money.

I wasn't happy at all with the mounts that came with the Arlo system. The original mounts you basically hang it on the wall screw like a picture frame. Felt very unsecure especially when mounted outside or when mounted under a roof like I have in the picture I put up.These new mounts you actually screw it into the wall and it can't be knocked off easily. Only thing I wasn't happy about was the small screws it came with and the price tag of it.Still gonna give it the 5 stars.I think this is very needed for the Arlo system if putting it outside and it does kinda look nicer more professionally done this way.

The mount is very sturdy and secure

This mount really opens up the Arlo's mobility. The nubs that came with the Arlo is very confining, which is why I ordered this. The mount is sleek and matches the design of the Arlo. The design is well thought out: If you want to mount this on to a wall you first screw in the mounting plate and them simply turn the mount on to the plate and it clicks right in. The mount is very sturdy and secure. Size: At 3.5" in diameter the mount is not small, but it is sleek. Just look at your Arlo, and think about how wide a stand would have to be to hold that whole thing up on it's back side on a table. This mount is much larger than the nub. The height is right around 3". It hides its size very well with its design, and with the Arlo attached to it it looks good and does not look big at all. Should this have been included with the Arlo: I can understand why Netgear did not include this mount: The mount requires more box space than the actual Arlo and it would have driven up the cost of the Arlo. I still think they should include at least one of these mounts. This mount really breathes a lot of fresh air into the Arlo and shows off the magnetic attachment feature. Conclusion: I recommend this mount. I will likely buy one or two more of these mounts. I hate to spend the extra money, but I feel like I am getting a quality product, so I'm willing to cough it up.

Stress free

After receiving my Arlo and taking the few moments to install it, I realized that there's so much more it gives me capabilites of. Like just yesterday I had a "ATTENDED" delivery from Amazon and I actually caught the guy from just leaving it on my steps. ATTENDED being he's suppose to give me the delivery personally, I also didn't have to keep going to the door checking to see if the delivery was left prior. It's just absolutely stress free and with my injuries that's a true pleasure. Thanks Arlo
