It works great!
I needed these for the bedroom windows. We are renting and I didn't want to drill holes into their walls. I was skeptical this could hold a decent curtain but they work great. I've never had to re-install them (they've never fallen down or lost their hold). I did NOT use the center piece that was included that you can drill into the wall and secure the middle of the curtain rod in place. My windows are about 4.5' long and curtains I guess are not that heavy so it is working great. Very happy with the purchase

Great substitute for screw-in hardware
I ordered two of these rods in size 28in-48in for my 46" wide bedroom windows. The rod went together easily and I was able to have the first pair of curtains up within ten minutes by myself. Great! I had trouble with the second rod though. The end that is supposed to come off in order to put the curtains on got stuck and I had to call my boyfriend in to pull it off and it was difficult even for him. I think I accidentally pulled it unevenly and that's why it jammed so beware- be careful when taking the end off of the rod! I was able to hang room darkening curtains on them with no problem. I've had them for five days now and have opened and closed the curtains every day and these rods are still up and haven't moved an inch. These were an answer to my prayers as I am renting and cannot screw hardware into my walls. Love them and would definitely recommend to anyone who can't or doesn't want to put screws in their walls. As soon as I can I will be ordering more curtains for the rest of my windows and more of these rods to hang them with. :) Update: Over two years later and they are still going strong. Bought two more and I love them. Dog even jumped up on one window and pulled the curtains and rod down but the rod went back up even though the tension screw seems to have broken.

Enjoying them to max! Great invention, easy setup!
Great invention. At first I was wondering if they would really work considering the current set up of my security bars on the windows but they worked perfectly and were easy to put up... it also comes with screws I suppose in case you change your mind, along with a middle hook for support, which would require screws into the wall. Anyway, this works just great for my 6 ft wide window! So long dreadful holes in the wall!!!

Who knew I could install this so easily?
I needed to hang blackout curtains on my bedroom window but I live in an apartment. I found these on another site but as an Amazon Prime member I bought them here. Best price and shipping you know. Anyway I also bought the curtains. When it came to installation the hardest part was I had to lean over a dresser to get to the window and sure another person might have made it way easier, but I didn’t have any problems and the next morning when the sun came up I kept sleeping. Like a baby I must say. The rod is still in place and I yank the curtains open and closed without worrying about everything crashing down on my head or on top the dresser. 👍 Oh BTW I’m a 66 year old girl with arthritis in my hands and I’m thinking about hanging curtains in my dining room. Easy peasy don’t drill holes buy these instead!

The look of traditional with the ease of tension rods.
Update: Several months later, they're still holding up. Each living room window has one rod and two sets of curtains each (4 curtains each rod)-- one set of 84" to go to the floor and one set of 63" that I hemmed in half to be open enough for my window fans. Works well. I have a home in the US Virgin Islands, my house is solid poured concrete. I am left with tension Rods because drilling into cement is difficult. These are excellent--I hope they sell well. You get the look of traditional rods with the ease of tension ones--the best of both.

Worked without any drilling
Worked great for my apartment. I did not need to drill even though screws are provided. Was able to hang up my curtain plus some lights. Very satisfied!

It's pretty decent
I've bought two of the long ones and a short one a month ago, and so far they are pretty good. It's fairly easy to install ans is sturdy enough. I live in an apartment and didn't want to drill holes for curtain rods, and these are one of the better looking tension rods that look like real ones. So as long as you are installing it tightly, not hanging super heavy curtains on these, and not pulling it down, these should work nicely.

otherwise this has been the perfect solution to my needs
I used this for over a year with heavy, grommet-set blackout curtains in my room. Because of the orientation of the rod and the grommets in the curtains (the grommets necessitate some back and forth 'crimping' at the top of the curtain when aligned on a rod), there was some light that did enter the room, reflected towards the wall from the very top of the curtains. However, otherwise this has been the perfect solution to my needs: (1) blackout curtains (2) that would easily sit over the pre-installed wooden blinds (3) that would not leave nail or screw-holes in the walls. I found this item to be very stable and will be buying another for my smaller window. Highly recommended.

For rentals that don't allow holes in walls!
Great thoughtful product. The color and finish are nice. Installation is straight forward but challenging it is possible with one person. In the photo it is holding four 84" blackout panels. When installing make sure it is a tight wedge! Also when buying curtains consider where the bar is being placed especially if you have blinds in the way.

It came on time and was easy to get out of the package and set up
We bought this for our apartment that doesn’t allow drilling into the walls. We have blinds installed so we needed something that would stick out rather than a normal tension rod. It came on time and was easy to get out of the package and set up. It only took us about a minute to set it up. We expanded it, twisted to secure it, and it was up. It’s also much nicer looking than a tension rod!
