Amazing how stupid some people can be!!
Absolutely love it. I'm amazed at how stupid some people can be. Sure, there are some legitimate complaints. Like the 7/8 inch legs do not fit this staple gun. They do not. Those are T-75 staples. This gun will only accept the T-50 type staples (if you are following Arrow protocol). But the complaints about this gun being too slow, or too heavy, or putting the staples in randomly (like you never know what this gun is going to do...lol), are absolutely ridiculous. This gun is so powerful and accurate, I cannot say enough good things about it. If you tilt the gun to one side or the other, the staple will go in on that angle. As it will with any staple gun. I would not classify this gun as a "wide crown stapler". It's essentially a powered standard staple gun. Just like the Arrow T-50 staple guns, except with way more power, and the ability to rapid fire (hold down the trigger, then every time you touch the head to the surface, it fires). Granted, pneumatic staplers are way faster. But speed is not why you buy this gun. Even though it is quite fast in rapid fire mode. Thank you Makita. Also the seller was great. No trouble and fast shipping.

The last staple gun you'll ever buy!
Its a shame that Makita advertises this as a crown stapler because its the baddest staple gun out there. I haven't tried to fit any crown staples in it but i trust enough reviews that say they won't work. I have, however, ran thousands of t50 staples of all sizes through it without a single jamb. This bad boy also has the power to actually sink the staples flush into 2x4's and plywood no problem. I bought this because it seems every couple of years or so i need a new staple gun and im never really satisfied with standard metal ones that have a hard squeeze handle. Even if I can't find crown staples that fit it, ill still be satisfied with the fact that this is the last staple gun that i'll ever have to buy.

Quality tool
This thing really works. I have used it for several thousand staples without a single misfire. It has plenty of power and even shoots staples into knots. There should be more prominent documentation that batteries are not included. I was somewhat put off when I got this only to realize that I had to fork over about as much money for the batteries as for the stapler. The box that the stapler comes in has "batteries not included" in tiny print. For those who have complained about recent Arrow T-50 staples being slightly changed and problematic, I have used this with recent Arrow T-50 staples with complete success

Exceptions
Without a doubt, this is an excellent stapler, except that I could not find any 3/8" "heavy duty" (say 18 gauge) crown staples that would fit it. This will shoot all the T-50 type staples perfectly. Use it with the smaller 18v Makita battery to reduce the weight. This may be much heavier than a hand-powered press and squeeze stapler, but it is by far, less tiring. This makes installing insulation and overhead work very easy.

Solved a huge problem for me
The Arrow T-50 stapler is a great tool. The gold standard. I have one that I purchased 40 years ago. Works great still. New ones look and work the same. The problem for me is m hands no longer work the same. For me, a heavy duty hand stapler is impossible to use: age, arthritis, carpel tunnel have taken a toll. This electric unit solved my issue. I have several other Mikita Tools all using the same batteries. An easy choice and solution. Great product but not for everyone. If you are young a T-50 is cheaper but this Mikita works great for me.

A fine tool
After years of hand stapling various projects I found that I couldn't really grip many of the staplers I own well enough to ensure my safety. I had never been able to use a hammer type stapler with any accurate results. I bought the nice little Arrow brand stapler, it works fine on lightweight shade cloth over my fish tank and other light items, I have only used it for the 3/8 staple length. I needed to fix some weathered cedar lattice paneling that was pulling loose as it aged. I own several cordless Makita tools and find them of superior performance and quality and ordered this tool as soon as I realized staplers were now cordless. I got the 9/16 arrow T50 staples, and after reading all about the stapler, I pulled the charged battery from my Makita blower, went out to the panel, pushed the front retractable lip down on a single layer cedar board and pulled the trigger. Like a dream come true the staple drove in the proper depth and so did the next and the next. The tool with the battery installed is easy to manage, well balanced so it doesn't feel heavy or uncontrollable, and a sturdy feel when it is doing its job.

So far I'm quite impressed
Just received my stapler . There seems to be a lot of confusion in regards to which , other that T50 , staples will work with it . For that reason I tested it with various lengths of T50 and I'm impressed with the power , ease of depth adjustment and ergonomic design .

Fast, Efficient, Comfortable, MAKITA!
Beautiful staple gun. Fires staples like your in a tournament. Very powerful so set your depth gauge appropriately for light or medium weight staples, had a bit of an issue with over penetration using a heavier staple "monel" but easily fixed by making a small jig. I also like that even a 3 AH makita battery will be enough to get an entire small project done and then some. The unit is very comfortable in the hand, slightly heavy, the battery connection has some play but its designed like that to protect the electronics inside from the repetitive movement shock of the mechanics inside, and has no effect on workability at all.

works great
It's a little heavy with the battery on. Not sure I would want to use it on an all day project. Especially if it was on walls or ceilings. But it sure beats having to drag out and put away an extension cord if I just need to put up 20 or 30 staples. I use a lot of Makita 18v stuff, so I've always got a battery charged up somewhere.
