- The CoverPro 1000CPX innovative design is based on the marriage of an industrial-style cover hem machine and a convenient home machine.
- The resulting union has produced a high-speed, long arm, heavy-duty cover hem machine that looks and operates like sewing machine.
- With a wide trip cover hem stitch, exclusive free arm configurations, the Janome's Seam Tightening SystemTM(STS), the 1000CPX is the most advanced Cover Hem machine available.
- CoverPro is a dedicated cover hem stitch machine, without any other serge, overlock, or rolled hem stitches and does not cut the material as you are sewing on a fold to hem or further into the fabric for decorative cover hem stitching.

... me as a gift and I am absolutely in love with this machine
My husband ordered the Janome Cover Pro 1000CPX for me as a gift and I am absolutely in love with this machine. I had it in two days and It worked perfectly right out of the box I would highly recommend this machine if you are on the fence about which Coverstitch to buy.

So far I love this machine because it goes over over seams well ...
So far I love this machine because it goes over over seams well and makes a nice stitch. Got one or 2 skipped stitches inside which I manually locked but the outside was great. I've only used it twice so I really have to play with it.The machine is a breeze to thread. Hope it continues to work good. Janome is a good product. I have a Pfaff coverstitch/ serger which I have nothing but problems with. My advise is that you should buy a machine that does only coverstitch. The more it does the more problems you have. Buy your serger separate. I just wish the foot was clear plastic like the Pfaff so you could see your stitch Maybe they will come out with one.

2 thumbs up
I'm very happy with it. It is not my go to machine but will add a professional touch to my knit garments.

Nice Machine
I'm an intermediate sewer and wanted this machine to top stitch on various projects I'm working on. I've had the machine for a little over a month and used it to top stitch on book bags and clothing items I made. It did a beautiful job across thin and thick fabric. It seems to be a well-made, quality machine. It did take some time to figure out the tensions. At first I couldn't get fabric out from under the pressure foot. I went on YouTube and watched videos of others having similar problems. I realized the machine tension was much too tight as arrived. I loosened the foot pressure (round white nob at the top of the machine) which was way too tight and made other adjustments which did the trick. Also, the threads must be pulled to the front and clipped before pulling the material out from under the pressure foot toward the back to lock the stitch. I've used the chain stitch, double and triple cover stitch and all worked well. I did have some missed stitches on the underside of the fabric when stitching over the part of the book bag that went from a thinner section to a thicker section that was over the bulk of the strap. The missed stitches were over the thicker section. So I'm still trying to adjust the settings to avoid that problem in the future. But overall this seems to be a great machine I'll enjoy for many years.

Great value
I'm still learning how to use this machine, there are some great videos on YouTube that are very helpful. Mastering this is just about using it, It's easy to thread. It gives that great stretch stitch that is the industry standard. With three needles you can really get your stitch line spacing where you want it

Terrific machine
Terrific machine for cover and chain top stitching. I have a pricy combo serger/cover stitch combo machine but was annoyed by the hassle of switching from one to the other and the one inch clearance to the right of the needle. The beltloop and hemming attachments I had for the Baby Lock also fit this and the Janome came with useful attachments and presser feet. Clear instruction manual, lots of great ideas and training available on Pinterest and Utube.
