Five-Stars with an asterisk: I'd give every shaving cream five stars. Why? Because they all get the job done. From Barbasol and Gillette Foamy, to Nivea and fancy gels. I'm also half-Asian and only have to deal with a Fu Manchu moustache and scruff under my chin. Gillette Foamy is what it says: foamy. I love how when you press the tab at the top of the canister and it dispenses, the foam instantly quadruples in size. I shave in the shower without a mirror so once the foam in on my face, it holds it own especially when random splashy water hits it. It also lasts a long time because I only shave a couple times a week since I decided that I'm not cut out for corporate life.

both do a good job on my face

I used to use this a long time ago and then switched to the gels. I think the gels are what started clogging up my sink drains (testing now), so I switched back to this foam. I had no problem with Gillette Foamy, just thought the gels may be more enriched with moisturizers. To tell you the truth, both do a good job on my face. I think I prefer the foamy as it comes out as foam and I don't have to rub in my hands before applying it to my face like I do with the gels. UPDATE (06/28/2019): My sinks have not clogged up once since switching from a gel to Gillette Foamy. I am staying with this going forward.

smooth shave

My husband ordered this product with some trepidation. He is very pleased with its' performance and feels that it: 1. is smoothly textured 2. foamy application 3. nice shave with disposable razors. He plans on ordering more.

For those of us who can only use certain products without server consequences, this product works, great foaming action. Smooth as a babies butt.

Tried 'Em All, Keep Going Back to Gillette Foamy

I've tried gels, brush-ons, soaps, usually at double to triple the price of good 'ol trusty Foamy. It's moist, but stays where you put it.

Best value for foaming shave product

As others have noted this is the best retail deal out there. As for performance is the best type of shaving foam on the market. I do not like the gel types. Aroma means little to me as most of product goes down the drain when shaving and the rest gets washed off in the shower. It's just a gimmick for men can,t speak for the ladies.

Good and easy

A little bit goes a long way, compared with the Cremo I'd been using. About one quick squirt to my fingers for each side, wipes on easily and stays thick. Seems to do a good job lubricating the shave.

A Tried and True Product

I have used this shaving cream for many years now and will continue to use it. Shaving is not the most enjoyable thing to do, but the cream out of the can is just right for my skin type (somewhat oily) and smells pretty good.
