Works great
We had a gouge in our linoleum from kitchen shears getting knocked from the counter, falling pointy-end down. This kit worked great. I was able to mix a color that matched really well, and the putty worked great at filling in and sealing the gouge. It's been two months and the repair is still holding up great. Just keep in mind that using this for a repair requires a bit of artistic ability and finesse. That's just the nature of this kind of product and what it's designed to repair. I used the color guide but ending up having to add different colors and experiment to get the near-exact match. Also, I had to apply the putty, press down, reapply, press down, etc. until the gouge was flattened and fully sealed, and then I feathered the edges to try to get the repair to blend in a bit. I didn't think to take a "before" picture, but I've included an "after" picture with this review. In regular light, the repair blends in so well that even though I know it's there, I still have to look for it.

I forgot to take the before picture but it's pretty hard to spot the chips from the after photos
We had tile with lines in it, so I didn't think it would work but if you're patient and find the mix you can match it perfectly. I had a spare tile that I practiced on first. I forgot to take the before picture but it's pretty hard to spot the chips from the after photos. Way cheaper than replacing the whole tile! If you can't see it, look to where the granite threshold meets the tile, there are about two dime size chips.

Easy tile repair kit
I had an actual hole in my kitchen floor and a few chipped areas that needed to be repaired. Instead of trying to cut out the existing tiles I found this product through an online search. The product is easy enough to work with but I had some trouble matching up my tile color. I made four attempts at patching the areas before I got to a close enough match that I can live with. For the price the product was worth it. We saved thousands by not installing a new kitchen floor and unless you know where the patches were made it's not noticeable. Definitely worth a try!

Easy fix for ceramic tile chips.
I bought this to replace a dime sized chip in a ceramic kitchen tile. The product instructions were mostly clear, everything needed was included and it only took a few minutes to mix up my preferred color. After mixing I applied the putty to the tile, scraped as instructed and let it dry. Two hours later everything was dry and I applied the lacquer. When I went back to take the "after" photo I had to search for the chip location. I'm please with the results and hope it holds up well.

Mixed my own colors, great coverage!
Still planning to do another coat, but this product worked great for a two foot long cut in my kitchen lino right near the sink. I filled in the cut with the base putty, then actually just put some of the pigment in bottle caps and mixed it with the putty as I went since I was going for a marbled look anyway. None of the formulas really matched my floor and I am a painter anyway, so it was easy to mix. Don't have a great photo of before, but the second one with the white circle shows the cut. Very pleased! The texture is different from the vinyl but I don't care, and I think it would be great for other materials.

I recommend this product.
We had a very small gouge on a new linoleum floor after just remodeling. We don't know if the installer accidentally hit the linoleum with his knife from the back during install or what? We don't recall doing anything to the floor, but obviously we couldn't prove who caused the damage because the small piece came out about a month after they finished. Since it was right in front of the toilet, it was very visible. I ordered the kit and used it to repair the small area. The hardest part about using it is mixing a color that matches, but I was able to get the base color very close and use a darker color to put a couple lines for a grain look over the base so it looked like the simulated wood pattern on the linoleum. I masked around the area I was patching so as not to get anything on the surrounding floor. And, I finished it with the lacquer. Unless you know the ding was there, you can't see it now. Even I have to look really close to find it. Only thing I can't tell you is how long it will hold up over time. Hoping it lasts.

Got my deposit back!
I bought this kit because there were many different surfaces that needed a touch up, in a house I was renting. I’m sure spots were there before I moved in, but I wanted to make sure I got my deposit back. The reason I decided on this kit verse others, was the fact that it stated that it works on “virtually any hard surface” and after tallying up my bill with all the different damaged surfaces, I thought (or hoped) this kit could be a life saver – and it was! I was able to touch up the chip in the kitchen counter. I even used a mixture of the clear lacquer and tints on spots I couldn’t work putty into. There was a large gouge in the laminate floor that I was able to fill AND get the graining to match. I was also able to repair the vinyl flooring that looks like stone in the bathroom. I thought the marbling in the color was going to be difficult to match but now I can’t even find the spot. I’m was pretty impressed. At the end of it all, I got my deposit back!

Does the job on stone and wood.
I'm really happy with this product. I used it to patch scratches in travertine tile on my backsplash. My outcome wasn't perfect but it was good enough. I could have done a better job if I had the patience to follow the directions to do a marbling effect but I decided not the make perfect the enemy of the good. I then got bold and used it to patch a dent in a cabinet. There the result was very good. I've got a number of other places in my home I am going to use it.

Works great if you know what you are doing
First off, the results, as pictured, look really good for polished stone tile. I should note that I've been a professional traditional media artist for 20+ years, so working with stone patching color mixing and faux texturing wasn't too hard. If you read the a accompaying instructions you should be good. With that said, some notes; the black is super black, dilute it with water and use sparingly!! As well as most other colors. If you are a novice you should study basic color mixing first, particularly RGB method. The kit comes with many common stone colors if you dont feel like mixing the basics BUT if you want an exact match you will be doing a lot of trial an error and you will have to use the included red, green, and blues. The patching base compound in the tube is kinda minimal, only enough for about a square inch. As the instructions say, patch dark, then let dry, then texture with a lighter mix using a frialed cotton swab. You will need more cotton swabs than the kit has!! The compound looks lighter when wet but dries darker!! Do go light on the first pass The final lacquer coat leaves much to be desired. It comes with no polishing tools and if you have a perfectly flat stone floor tile to patch them you need to sand it afterwards. Overall it's a good kit but I think it needs more patching compound.
