Easy to use night guard that works!

This night guard is very easy to use. Its not super soft plastic when you bite down. Its easy to mold and works well for it not being a guard made by a dentist. You get two in a pack and that's helpful in case you lose one or it gets old. My package arrived super fast and was exactly as described. This is the only mouth guard I have used that has actually stopped my teeth from clenching at night. Gets rid of the Clench and Grind

I clench from anxiety. I have had expensive ortho dontic mouth pieces. Why did they never offer this type? The ones from the orthodontist or dentist just covered my teeth. I still clenched and grinded. The key to success and retraining your bad habit is this style of night gaurd. It keeps your back molars from touching and helps teach you to not grind. Now granted you might still clench but the force is not as strong.

Very Effective Against Jaw Strain and Grinding

Best I have found for ease of forming and effective against grinding. They wear thin over two months and develop plastic burrs. Initially can be a bit thick / big for the mouth, but prove effective.

I feel like I should give the Smartguard more than just a few nights use before writing a review, but I'm smitten and I can't wait (and I normally don't write reviews, which I feel guilty about because I rely on them heavily). This is the best mouth guard I've ever used for teeth clenching. I almost didn't buy it because I was worried that the force I normally put on my back teeth would be transferred to the front of my mouth and cause problems. I am a serious clencher - I broken a molar from clenching and am always told by dentists that I need to wear something to protect my teeth. My issue with traditional mouth guards (that go over the back teeth) has always been that I will bite down (hard) on something if is there for the biting! It actually makes me bite more! With the Smartguard, there is nothing to bite back there - my back teeth can't even touch, which seems to be relaxing my jaw (finally). I wake up and my jaw muscles feel loose (a very foreign feeling). I am excited to see what this will mean for my headaches and neck aches. I would say it is surely worth a try! Note: There are two guards in each package, which I assume is for "mess ups" while molding. I molded and re-molded (is that a word?) mine (the same one) six times before it felt the most comfortable. There is a ridiculous amount of material (which made my upper lip puff out the the point I couldn't even close my lips together), so I just kept heating it up, pushing plastic down (away from my gums - I don't want it to rub there) and to the side. Then I trimmed off the excess plastic (very easy while the guard is still warm). Also, hypnotherapy is a great option for clenching/grinding, as those are primarily subconscious actions. I had one session and it really helped (though it did not eliminate it completely, since stress is also a contributing factor).

Helps with nightime grinding!

This really helps me protect my teeth - I have TMJ and I clench at night, and I definitely notice the difference with this guard on. Some of my teeth were literally grinding away and this guard has helped stop that, and furthermore has lasted nearly 1 and a half years. Unfortunately it can be a little difficult to mold them properly, but when I had an issue molding the second one their customer service team immediately sent me a replacement nearly 2 years after my initial order, which was fantastic. Great product, great service and company. Thanks!

Works For Me

Much help for my TMJ best fit for me, I have a small mouth and didn't think there was a guard out there for me, I like that it rest only on front teeth to keep from clenching on the back molars.
