Nice phone.
Nice phone. Sound quality of the speaker phone feature is much improved over my previous AT&T model. Love the call block. Some of the menu options (date/time set) need a code that's stated in the manual to set. Both remote units required no pairing. If you have a landline through a regular phone line, definitely put the batteries in the base. If you use VOIP don't bother with the batteries in the base unless you have a UPS for the cable modem. Very full featured, more than I need.

Great Phone Set, But NOT for the "Techniphobe" or Faint of Heart
As many have previously described, this phone is NOT for the "techniphobe" or faint of heart. There is much programming and referencing the Owners Manual during the initial setup. You will also need to keep the Owners Manual handy, as there may be times that you want to change some settings. Unlike other less functional phones, this one does not have an easy to use menu system to select and deselect options. Instead you must enter specific codes, listed only in the manual, to change the options (i.e., programming the phone). That said, this phone is feature rich. I have had other Panasonic phones in the past, including my last ones which were also DECT 6.0 (KX-TG9333), and this compares very well. I had to replace the previous set, as I am now working solely out of my home office, and needed a corded phone with speaker phone option so I would not be reliant on a battery powered handset that lasted only an hour or so per charge. (I was constantly on conference calls, using the speakerphone portion of the older handsets, and having to use two or three handsets to get through the day.) An added bonus of this phone was the ability to also pair a Bluetooth headset to the base, which also gives clarity (compared to the speakerphone) to the conference calls as well as cordless convenience. Once paired, switching from the Bluetooth headset and base unit is as easy as pressing a button on the base to use the speakerphone (or headset) or simply picking up the corded handset. Calls sound as good as I would expect. The corded and cordless handsets are great. The speakerphone quality depends on how close the speaking person is to the phone (base or cordless handset), yet it is very good for the most part; I would not expect anything different in a phone kit in this price range. One thing to note about the base unit speakerphone: The mic is hidden on the underside of the base, just to the right of the speakerphone button (refer to #6 on page 12 of the owners manual); this area must not be blocked or else the mic will be useless. Not exactly the best location for the mic. I am currently using this phone with Vonage as my VoIP provider. I get notified when there are messages awaiting to be heard in the Vonage phonemail on the base unit and cordless handset screens. Programming the Vonage phonemail access number was not difficult (it was more difficult finding the number in the first place, as I had forgotten what it was -- "*123"), so now I can access my mailbox with a single button press when there are messages. I cannot talk to the pairing of cell phones to the base/handsets, as that function is not one I plan to use. But it does look interesting for some people. Although Panasonic specifies using two (2) AAA NiMH batteries as optional in the base, I highly recommend using them, as they will be used during a power outage, giving the phone up to 7 hours of use (depending on power saving mode set). I also am unsure if the settings would be preserved during a prolonged power outage without the backup batteries.

Great Phones
These phones...so far...have worked better than any others we've tried. My husband constantly checks the display to add more features; I love the actual handset (just can't get used to trying to hold a phone that's just a rectangle). The voice quality is as good as--well, a "regular" phone! :)

Loud volume, three receivers, announcements, and answering machine in one
After reading other reviews, I decided to get this phone set for my parents who are both losing their hearing. They immediately fell in love with this set. You can turn the volume up very high. Also, they love the ability to screen their calls by listenening to the phone announce who is calling. They can hear the announcement very well from partway across the house. They also like the answering machine so well that they quit using voicemail. Another nice feature is that one of the receivers is attached, so if they can't remember where they've left the handhelds, they can still answer the phone by picking up the wired receiver.

Panasonic products really never let me down and this is no exception
Bought this phone a little over a year ago. So far it has performed flawlessly. I do not use the answering machine function since I use my Optimum voicemail so I can't vouch for how good the answering machine works. Good sound quality from handsets and base. LOVE LOVE LOVE the bluetooth. I no longer have to keep my cellphone near me when I am home. The Panasonic links flawlessly to my Nokia 7.1 and my previous Nexus 5X. Also love that the ringtone of this feature is distinct from the Panasonics normal ringtone. That way I can easily tell whether the call is originating from my cell or not. Speakphone on base unit works awesome. I never get any complaints from friends or clients. I don't use the speakerphone on the portable handsets much but when I have nobody has complained. Don't really have anything negative to say about it that I can think of other than I can't seem to find a way of reviewing and managing the numbers I add to the Call Block. Would like this ability in case I may block a good one by accident.

Great for people who want to remove their landline, but keep the convenience of multiple room handsets!
I hate using a cell phone in general, but the bluetooth feature on this lets me keep my cell phone in the house in a good spot for reception, but leaves me with the convenience of being able to answer calls in various rooms with the cordless handsets. To me, the handsets are much easier to hold than a cell phone and the reception from them is much better, plus I can hear the phone ringing! And I don't need a landline. So glad they came up with this product.

Works perfectly with my cell
This is great!! I'm using this through my Cell phone and it works great for both receiving and making calls. To sync up to cell just press the number 1 or 2 on the main unit and then have your cell phone scan for the bluetooth connection to receive calls just pickup the receiver on the main unit or press cell on the wireless units to make calls just dial in your number and then press the 1 or 2 cell buttons on the main unit to get out or just press cell on the wireless hand held phone. This does need a quick connect sheet for those who are linking up cell phones to receive calls but other than that this Panasonic works great and I'm am very pleased with my purchase. You can also find tutorials on youtube for this model.

Perfect without a land line!
We got rid of our landline and have been using this new phone system with our cell phones (2) for a few weeks and love it. It was easy to set up and pair both cell lines with it. There is one base unit that has a handset if you want the feel of a "real" phone in your hand, as well as the two cordless units that have small bases that plug into electric outlets. I have the base unit on my desk plugged into an electric outlet, and the other units in a bedroom and kitchen. Whenever either one of our cell phones rings, the phones all ring and we can answer on whichever we choose (either #1 or #2 flashes depending on which cell it is). It is easy to transfer the call back to your cell phone too if you want to head out with the cell phone and the call. I really like the ability of the base unit to read the caller ID aloud! I can hear the caller ID read out before I can walk over to the phone to see who it is (if I don't have the cell phone on me). I don't use the answering machine on the phone, since it is easy to get voice mail on the cell phones directly. The speaker phone works well and I've used it many times while I'm at my desk. No one has complained on the other end yet! The phone easily brought in my cell phones directory - so no need to enter all your phone numbers. These phones are exactly what I was looking for.

I bought this for my parents and they absolutely love it. They got rid of their landline
I bought this for my parents and they absolutely love it. They got rid of their landline, opting for an OBi202. The combination, even on an LTE internet connection, is top notch. The two handsets allow my dad to roam around the property (within reason) and my Mom, who is currently recovering from an illness, can call him up using the intercom function if she needs to. Phone calls sound fantastic, with one exception: The wireless handsets offer better voice quality in my opinion than the wired handset on the base station. That's not enough to negate a five star review. I'd buy this again any time.

Maybe My Favorite Purchase Ever from Amazon!
I can't believe I never left a review for this phone, especially since I absolutely LOVE it! It is so convenient having the two cordless handsets. We keep one in the living room and one in the bedroom, and I can answer it in either room without being tied to the corded phone in the kitchen and can even take it outside. Probably the very best part is the call block feature, which was the primary reason for getting it in the first place..We tend to get a lot of telemarketers, etc., on our house phone, and now it such a pleasure being able to just hit the call block button and see them added to the call block list. I think it actually gives me a feeling of empowerment!. (Did I mention I LOVE this phone?)
