Great Scanner with lots of features.
Functionality for the price is fantastic. I have been out of scanners for a long time. I bought and used scanner master ARCXT Pro to program the scanner. It took very little time and was much easier to program with this software. I was up and running in a short time. The scanner itself was surprisingly small but the clarity of the reception is great and clear. I really like the scanner. For the price and features it is well worth it. If you get ARCXT vs a free software and use radio reference to get frequencies (subscription required), read the instructions for the software. It was intimidating at first but after I got the hang of it it in 2 hours and it was great to use. The battery life does seem a little short but I think the batteries that come with the scanner are not of great quality. The user manual is very confusing but that is due to the complexity of new technology in scanning. This scanner may not be good for beginners unless you are willing to drop the money on a good programming software to simplify programming the scanner. I will be looking for a better rechargeable li-on battery. Overall I feel the scanner is a great buy with giving a feature rich small scanner.

I really enjoy my Uniden BCD325P2!
WOW ... What a great DIGITAL scanner!!! Works like a champ in my big city. Allows me to listen in on all kinds of action with law enforcement, fire, ambulance, DPS, and more. A WORD OF CAUTION ... this scanner is NOT for the person who is not familiar with high-end scanner programming! It will drive you CRAZY very quickly. Personally, I use a computer with the downloadable "Freescan" software, in conjunction with RadioReference.com, to program mine, and it works great! After mastering the learning curve with these tools, I was able to program / transfer over 600 channels into the scanner, using the USB cable, in less than 2 minutes. This scanner has SO MANY FEATURES AND CAPABILITIES, that it's a never ending ( and pleasant ) learning process. Rather expensive, but I really enjoy my Uniden BCD325P2! DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY!!!

great scanner
Bought this as a gift to replace an older one. Went digital because I wanted to make sure he was able to get all the channels. Said it was a little tough to set up but if you find the correct channel online, just takes a little time. Drains the batteries big time though.

Professional Mobile Scanner
Purchased as a radio hobbyist. This device is exactly what I needed. Simple to use when set up. I used FreeScan to program which was easy to do. Operation is easy to manage and navigate. This does everything I wanted and more.

Omg programming this scanner is insanely difficult took me 30 days to figure this out finally got the scanner to work and it's amazing scanner. Really needs to come with a step by step software would have made programming much easier I give this scanner a 5 star for overall quality and a 1 Star for programming and setting up the scanner

love hearing everything going on in my area
after reading previous reviews I was a little afraid to even start programing my scanner however after signing up at radio reference and downloading the freescan softqare I was up and running in about 15 minutes.... I'm learning something new everyday about my scanner... one thing I wish is that the battery life was longer but it shouldn't be too much of an issue since I will primarily using my scanner at home while I'm crafting and such.... also wish the batteries would charge while it is plugged in.... with all said I'm very happy with my purchase of the bcd325p2.

Buy new electronics only and this little scanner was pricey but it's a jewl.
People don't buy used electronics only buy new. I bought two used scanners and they didn't work properly but the brand new one worked awesome and had no missing parts like the used ones did. So I suggest u buy new only
