I use it on a ski boat for when I do late night events like fireworks, this is amazing. I have not had it long so not sure how it last over time but I used it the night of July 4th across Lake Washington and it worth every penny since I dont have radar but do know the lake, it helped!!

Nice product

Have installed the light outside for several months and I can control it from inside (about 50 feet and 3 walls). Bright and functional.

Awesome light

This light is awesome I used it during calving season this year and was lots better than having to roll my window down. Remote works excellent even from around 500 yards away. I was able to park my truck and have the light shine on whatever I was doing and adjust it accordingly. Has my headlights on bright below it for comparison on the picture.

Quality beyond compare, function s great and looks even better!!

Outstanding quality , an exceptional value for all that it does. The beam of light is great. It very easily lit up my tractor and barn seventy yards from my cargo van that I mounted it on top of. The magnet would hold it in place just fine but I decided to mount it higher up onto my van cargo racks so the beam would not be interfered with when I aim it to the front. I build a triangle shaped metal base plate then drilled the holes for the supplied light base and then mounted that light base to my metal base. I then used u shaped bracket s to attach my base to my cargo van roof rack. Very simple way to attach the light. If you like to remove the light from the base just press the release button and pull it forward. Easy on easy off if you prefer. I like it so much I will definitely buy a couple more for my other vehicles. I drilled a 1" hole in my van side roof and ran the power cord though it so that I did not have to be looking at that power cord running down into my driver side door. The power cord is very long and seems to be very strong but I added a protective black outer sleeve for extra protection. I am certain this remote control beam light will be used for many purpose s. this is a super light.

this is a super light .......I have 3 and use them as security lights on 5 ac. property.......the remotes work up to 150 yards and I wish all sellers had as good a service department as this company does...........when you get one of these ask also to purchase an extra remote or 2 so you won't be without in case you lose 1 or it gets destroyed............. AAA + company in my book................

Great Value, Performance

My automotive work is done at night, in a poorly lit garage with zero available space, and this light has made working out there much more bearable. As others have said, overall a quality work light with excellent illumination. The unit is light-weight and sized just right, helps to fit into spaces/poses, doesn't get in the way. Was using a $12 H/F light, but this is 1000% better in lighting performance and function, for only fractionally more money. Would definitely recommend this one, and not just for automotive.

Necessary item to keep in a vehicle

After changing a tire on the side of the interstate, at night, in the rain, without a good light, I decided to buy this light. Now I keep it in the truck and keep it charged just for the next time I have to change a tire at night. It will stick on the fender right above the tire and give you a good bright light. I've used it a few times when doing other jobs, like working on my riding mower out in my shop. It's very versatile with magnets and hooks, so you can place it right where you need light and it stays there.

Looks like a great boat light

I bought this to mount on the front deck of my pontoon boat for those times when I inadvertently end up out after dark. It's very sturdily made and weighs all of the 8 lbs they claim. There is a slide-off base plate which can be bolted down. If you slide it off, it exposes the magnet for mounting on a metal surface. The magnet strength is marginal. It will barely support its own weight when stuck to a vertical surface, and isn't very strong on a horizontal surface. I certainly wouldn't stick it to a vehicle roof and go over 10 mph ;=) This may be due to the way they mounted the magnet. There is a 1/16" gap between the magnet and your metal surface. You might be able fix this with some field mods. As for the light, it's VERY bright. There are 10 lensed LEDs. They say 50 watt (total) CREEs. I don't have a way to measure light output, but it easily lights up the woods a couple hundred feet away. The beam width is very good. More flood than spot, but still quite focused. There is a plastic cover over the the LEDs, which they call "toughed plastic". May be polycarbonate, but I can't tell non-destructively, but it's solid. It shields the vertical axis movement from the weather. Horizontal movement is rain-shielded by the housing. The remote is good. Slew speed is about right. I went about 50' away and the remote still was working (OK for my boat). It says 12 or 24 volt, but the power cord has a standard cig lighter plug. I'll try it on 24, but don't expect any difference. There is probably a voltage regulator that drops any voltage down to what the mechanism needs. With this light, I may just choose to go out at night !

Awesome light portable rechargeable light source

1. It's rechargeable and it comes with cord for your car and home wall charger. 2. Features I like. It has two strong magnets that stick to most places I work. I'm a construction worker. It has a lower and upper hook if u want to use the hook instead of magnet. It tilts and the base is heavy so it doesn't top over. It has a flash light feature and a wide beam feature. Too bad it doesn't allow both feature at once. It's extremely light in weight. I used it for the first time today and loved it.
