Very easy and smart installation guide - and works perfectly
Fabulous door stopper - works great, solid build, easy installation guide provided. I had been lagging on buying a door stopper for my garage door for years, and I don't know exactly why. Came across this randomly and am so glad I got it. It works as advertised - you won't struggle to release the doorstop like the basic versions. Also, the template for the holes is very well done, surprisingly - just line up the bottom of the piece of hard paper to the floor, mark your holes, and drill. You don't even have to measure where the hole should be relative to the doorstop contact extended on the floor - so well thought out. They even tell you precisely which size drill bit to use. Highly recommend.

No Shoe Damage. No foot pain.
Pros and cons about this product. About me: Using this on the front door of our apartment that has a self-closing door. Using it while barefooted (no-shoe Korean household) and wearing shoes (if coming in from the outside). Pros: Smooth. Super smooth operation. Ease. Requires only a little force to push down. Quiet. I was curious if it would make a loud sound snapping up. It doesn’t. Great installation. A template was provided so you know just how high/low to place it on your door! Bonus. Love that the rubber foot can be lowered as it wears away from use. Extending the life of the foot and reducing waste. Cons: None yet. Will update if I encounter any.

Works GREAT, very easy install!
I never thought I would be so excited about a door stop! Our front entry door was never adjusted correctly when installed by previous owners. It does not stay open on its own, it slowly closes. We recently had new storm doors installed and the installers said that the way the door is, it would not be wise to try to shim it. We had a large rock that we used to prop the door open with but it was scratching the tile flooring. I finely got fed up with the situation and hunted for a door stop. This door stop is wonderful! It easily installs with three screws and a template that is included. It has a screw near the rubber base to adjust it up or down as needed after installation. I open the door and slide it down with my foot and it grips and holds the door. When I am ready to close the door, I step on the little lever at the top and the foot on the door stop pops up and out of the way so that the door can close. It works great and looks really nice. I like it so well that I will be buying one for my back door as well. I would definitely recommend this item.

Exactly what I needed
I put this on my door that goes from my laundry room to my garage. Normally I just jam am old shoe under the door to keep it open while I bring in groceries/furniture/whatever but this is a million times more convenient. It comes with self-tapping screws so there's no drilling required and the unit looks really. The release switch works perfectly every time and beats the hell out of either bending over to use your hands or trying to flip it up with your toe. I will say that I question its durability. The rubber foot doesn't seem too robust and I'd be willing to bet that the spring will wear out after extended use. These aren't problems for me though, since I only use it MAYBE once a week and usually not even that often.

Everyone should have one!
Oh my gosh! I cannot tell you how excited I am about this thing. We just bought a new house so we've been buying lots of things from wall decorations, a new door lock with keypad, sugar and cereal containers, stuffed animals storage....you get the point. A wide range of purchases. This little thing was by far my best purchase yet for this house. Every time I use it, I tell my husband, "that was the best thing I've done for this house." Our garage door has the hinges that close automatically. I hate them. I would rather disable them. My sister semi-lectured me about how they are fire safety code or something and when I said I didn't care and I was removing them, she gave me this look that said I'm being extra and she didn't want to talk about it anymore. I thought I would attempt to find another solution. This was my choice and like I said, best choice yet. Was really simple to screw into the door. We chose to just use a drill on a higher power vice drilling holes first. It was slightly inconvenient because the holes are so close to everything else that it was hard to get the drill at the right angle. An extended bit or extender for your bits should fix this for you. Function is simple. I slide my foot against it and push down as I walk by and it stays open. The black bottom is rubber and it does extend so we extended ours a little just to provide extra pressure in holding the door open. As I'm leaving, I push the little lever on the top, it pops right up and I leave. Has been so convenient for moving since our hands are usually full and we can't push the handle.

Easily holds open my heavy fire door, hands free.
I never thought I'd be so happy over something like a door stop, but man, this solved such an annoying problem for me. I have literally the worst laundry room ever. It is a teeny room that connects the garage to the kitchen, and it's really more like a hallway. With my front loading machines in there, it makes it even more narrow, so things like bringing groceries in becomes a real hassle. Because the door leads to the garage, it's a spring hinged fire door that slams shut on its own, so each trip in means wrestling the door open and trying to get through with a load of whatever I'm carrying. I've actually bruised my hips on the door knob in this process several times, the stupid room is so narrow. I had tried a wedge door stop before, but the fire door is too heavy to stay open with that. I also tried another, more traditional style of door stop, that you have to flip up and down with your hands. It was inconvenient and barely worked with the heavy door. I saw this and thought maybe it would work, and it's exceeded my expectations. It was easy to install, and it's so easy to use. Hands free, too. It actually holds the heavy fire door open with no trouble at all, so I'm not slamming my hip into it trying to get it open while I unload my car. I haven't found anything like this in regular stores, and I have looked. I'm so happy to have found this.

It seems pretty durable, but only time will tell - 4/5 ...
Installation was quick simple with the included template - Just pop out the pre-punched holes, and set the bottom of the card on the floor and mark the door. No issues with slipping - Using it on ceramic tile floor with and a heavy, fire-rated garage door which has a spring-loaded hinge. It seems pretty durable, but only time will tell - 4/5 stars for now until I've got some more use out of it. Updated 9/3/18 - Product has held up nicely, with no issues at all. 5/5

Buy/Use your Own Screws and you'll be good.
great for replacement for a door kickstand that is slipping to much. Old door stop had hard plastic nub, and this rubber nub performs much butter and can be deployed and retracted without bending over. Anyone that installs this should supply their own screws. Numerous reviews mention it, but I used the provided screws and in less then 1 month the door stop was falling off... not enough threads penetrate the door to allow the screw to hold. The screws they give you appear to be self tapping screws, so you really only get 2-3 threads actually hold to the door... assuming you dont strip some of the wood. I suggest using an 1inch or 1 1/4 inch #8 wood screw (measure you doors thickness before you buy a screen to long).

If you need to hold a door open, buy this product! This product is really well made, I think I may buy a second one since the quality can only go downhill over time, and if I buy a "spare" now, I'll be getting a very good product. The satin nickel finish may be better described as a medium bead blast finish, but from a few feet away, it looks like satin nickel. The weight is very low. I was surprised by how light it is to hold, usually this is a bad sign that a product is cheap a flimsy, but that is not the case here. If I didn't know better, I'd suspect this part is made of magnesium to be so light, but it is really quite strong. No, this is not a security device as some of the questions asked, it is not designed to prevent your door from opening. It will prevent a door from moving under normal conditions, but not against a burglar. Installation is simple, three screws are all that hold it in place. The packaging even comes with a template to use for the screw locations. The instructions suggest wearing safety glasses... I wasn't sure if that was only while turning the screws, or if I'm supposed to wear them each time I use the door stop. I have not needed to use the "pad adjustment" feature yet, but it will allow the pad height to be adjusted a little if any wear takes place to prevent a good grip. If you have a foot, operation is a breeze. Flip the foot down, then press the pedal to raise the device again. I wish I had installed one of these sooner. Compared to the brick, old boot, chunk of firewood, and other "door stops" I've used for the past few years, this is by far the best!

Excellent quality, easy to install
Local code required our door from the house to the attached garage to be self- closing and it was very inconvenient for bringing shopping and such into the house. The Tenby had the feature we were looking for: kick it down to keep the door open, and kick the lever to lift it back up again - no bending over. It works very well, smooth operation and seems to be well- built so I expect it to be durable. Unlike so many things today, this is made in Korea and you can see the KR quality culture in the fit and finish. Even the packaging had a nice touch: there were three holes coresponding to where the screws needed to go - you just put the bottom edge of the carbdoard package back on the floor and mark therough the three hole cut- outs where you need to drill. It could not be simpler, and the Tenby is then mounted at the exactly perfect height. If the rubber tip wears down after a while, no prob - there is a thumbscrew to lengthen it if need be. Brilliant. I wish more products were this well thought- out.
