Great lock

Works great. Fits my receiver nicely. I know a lot of reviews have taken away points for this lock being too long. I find this ridiculous. It's supposed to be long. That's why we are buying it, to fit at least a 2 and 1/2 inch receiver. I think mine was about 3/4 of an inch longer than needed. I didn't let this bother me. Heres' what I did. I went to Lowes, picked up a pack of #12 O Rings with 5/8 inch inner diameter, and slid about 5 of them on the lock and put it on. Worked fantastic and looks very nice. Relax people, life is short. Fix your own problems.

Great Lock. GOT RATTLES? Here's the solution....

This is a nice-looking piece. I've just installed it to secure my billet Chevy hitch cover to my S10. Indeed, there is, in all likelihood, quite a bit of side-to-side play after insertion. This could result in bolt wear/abrasion and possible rattling. I figured out a CHEAP and EASY remedy. Go buy yourself a cheap pack of garden hose washers. About $2.00 for a pack of 10 at the big box lumber/hardware stores. Black is the best for simplicity Iif you can find it - mine were green) , but any color can work. Hose washers are generally 5/8" I.D. This lock is 5/8" O.D. Get it? Just slide as many rubber-esque washers onto the bolt as you need. I used 8 of them. If you have black - you're good-to-go. If not, just apply a wrapping of plastic electrical tape to the washer cluster. Pop it in and you are virtually abrasion and rattle-free,.

Works Great - No Problems

The lock is gunmetal gray has a rubber grip around the locking mechanism. The lock has an attached rubber cover. I have only used it for one trip and it worked great. Not sure why there is all of this concern about it being long. It worked great for me and it did not rattle at all. It is a nice looking receiver pin and lock and I had no problems with it and would recommend this lock to others. It is also made in the USA which is a plus!

Great product, wonderfully built and finished

Great product, wonderfully built and finished. This is 3.5" length of usable pin, I have a 2006 trailblazer so there was about less than an inch of play. I went to home depot and bought 5/8" flexible grommets, a total of three, cost less than $4. Put one on the pin before putting the pin through and the other two on the side the lock is on. No rattling to worry about. Make sure to spray white lithium grease into both ends of the lock, the keyhole and the end the pin goes into. I worked it around on both sides so everything inside is coated nicely to prevent any seizing of parts.

I can and do recommend these.

So far, I'm brand new to receiver hitches. I live in a neighborhood where if it's not locked up, it may wander, even 'stupid stuff' most would never think would be stolen. So when I bought a hitch for my new truck, I bought one of these to keep the hitch, my hitch! (also got a clamp to keep it from rattling and that will slow down would be thieves as well). Well, my newness showed when the adjustable ball mount portion could easily be removed as well, so without hesitation I ordered a second one to secure that portion. Would be nice to get the same key but that increases the likelihood someone else would have that key too. Some silicon grease worked up into the internals should keep water and moisture out. I'll remove the whole thing before winter, I only pull summer toys. This appears to be well made, looks good, came with ample O-Rings to keep it snug side to side and the key hole covers are good too. Again, I added my own silicon grease just to make sure they stay nice. I can and do recommend these.

Impressive Hitch Lock

I recently received my black nickel trailer hitch lock from Connor. All I can say is this is a very well made hitch lock. The locking mechanism is designed as such, that if you don't hear an audible "click" when pushing the lock head on, you know it's not secured. However, there's no doubt when you hear that click. I really like the fact that the key doesn't have to remain in the lock head once it's unlock, or needed to lock the head back on. The O rings included make for a very nice snug fit on my hitch also. This is a quality product, I expect that I will get many years use out of this before anything happens to it.

Great lock

Item arrived one day early. Seems to be made of very high quality material. Fit my class IV 2" perfectly. I did notice the bar was kind of big and slide around. For $1.28, I bought some garden hose washers from Home Depot and put them on both sides of the lock. Fits perfectly now.

Great locking pin!

Outstanding product. It is long enough with room to spare for the receiver on my F250 Super Duty. The black finish blends in with the receiver and it is so easy to lock and unlock. It is great to be able to snap the lock onto the pin without using the key. The only time the key is required is for unlocking. I'm pleased to get a well designed and machined pin for a low price.

Everything I was looking for!

Perfect and exactly what I needed! Arrived as expected and is a great fit! It is a little long, but all I did was as some tape to one end of it and it fits nice and snug now and does not rattle one bit. Great product!

Longer for the newer pickup truck recievers

Just what we needed for our new 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 pickup. Since GMC, and other auto makers, has a larger receiver opening for trailer hitches this lock fit our needs perfectly. It is plenty long and I took a hint from one of the other reviewers to add 3 hose washers to the end to keep in from moving back an forth. Very sturdy and the key slot cap cover looks like it will last a long time.
