My local Nissan dealer wanted $158.00 to install new OEM hood struts for my 2005 Titan. $16.99 and one beer later, my hood stays up like it used to. Like most reviewers, the first strut took maybe three extra minutes to figure out, but I had both installed in less than 20 minutes, and that was with taking my sweet time. Great product and a very easy install.

For 2006 Nissan Titan. I had replaced one of these years ago decided to do both this time. Save yourself a lot of time by NOT doing first step. 1. Remove retainer clips from each end of shock. They just need to be pulled up off of shock a little. Easy job can turn bad if clips are removed. If your hood will not stay up a helper would make it easier. They worked great and a lot cheaper than a shop or dealer. A thin flat head screwdriver all the tools needed.

Work well, plus great installation instructions.

After my 2007 Titan attempted to snuff my life out with it's mystery closing hood, I decided to replace the original hood lift shocks. These came packaged perfectly and within 3 working days (I'm like'n Amazon Prime). The Amazon price was the best I could find also. As for installation.. if you can operate a small screwdriver, you can impress your friends and neighbors with this repair. Super easy to do although I recommend you put a broomstick or something else to prop the hood open while you pull the first original shock off. Once one new shock is installed doing the other side is even less risky. Due to my learning curve it took me 6 mins to install the 1st shock and 2 mins to do the remaining one. It appears build quality is on par with OE....

I installed in less than 10 minutes works good

The hood shocks are great. Supports the hood better than the factory ones. Great product

2005 Nissan Titan tried to knock me out a couple times. Put these on in 5 minutes and they work great. Just use a flat head screwdriver to slide the U shaped retaining clip back a slight bit, both to get the old ones off and the new ones on. (it comes with instructions). Great price. So far perfect.

You get two for what you'd pay for one at a local parts store. Took only a minute to install and they've worked great in the 2 months since.

Worked perfectly, old struts weren't holding up the hood any longer. Replacement was super easy (just look up videos on YT).

They work PERFECTLY !! !! !! I have an 06 Nissan Armada, and I installed these in about 5 minutes. I think they might actually be better then the OEM when it was new.
