I replaced a push-button shower head cutoff that came with my RV which was always getting corroded and locking up. This one works like a dream and never hesitates to slide one way or the other. This should be the "go to" head cutoff for an RV or camper. It worked so well I decided to install another one on my mom's small shower where we were using the head to cut off the water and it was not stopping totally when twisting the ring on the actual head. This one is a "sure stop". The only downside I can think of is that when installing you have to make sure it gets tight when the slider is facing the correct way. Since most RV faucets are plastic and if you wish to place the cutoff on the end of the hose next to the faucet, there's a possibility you might keep twisting and break the plastic faucet, which would be a definite failure point. Thus if you try it on your shower faucet (opposed to the end with the head) and the cut off is facing the wrong way when it starts to get tight, you might remove it and try an additional or thickness washer, rubber or nylon spacer which might make the threads tight at a different place around the circumference where the slider would be accessible.

My heading says it all! ... this "Flow Adapter" is FAR BETTER than the one I purchased at a "Major chain Hardware Store!" ( ... which shall remain "nameless;" for I really LIKE them ... but rhymes with "Roam Repo.!" ; ) ~ LOL! * In all seriousness, THIS is an Excellent piece of Plumbing, AND shall Save $$$ in Water Waste! ... **FOLKS, "PAUSE that H2O whilst You're Soaping Up (in the Shower)!!" ~*~ "Water Conservation HELPS Mother Earth, and Your 'Bottom Line' - $$$ in Saving!!!" :-D

Used as a regulator/flow restrictor for a new shower head which was full flow. Found the full flow to be too much, and this solved that problem. The other problem had was that the new shower head and the new shower arm would not work together and create a leak-free union (even with layers of teflon tape, which should not be necessary); it was as if the shower head could not thread on far enough for the arm to mate to the rubber gasket. But by using this valve between the two, a leak-free union was had at both ends and the installation was quick and easy! It does fully shut off the flow when selected. I suspect there will be an inherent restriction given the design, but you likely won't notice without using a flow meter/gauge inline.

Does what it's supposed to. No issues. Shuts off the drip completely with an easy quarter turn. Bought this to resolve a persistent drip issue in our shower. Did the job so I am very pleased with the product.

I love it. It works great and it is so easy to install. I bought a shower head that had a on and off switch. When I installed the shower head and the shower head shut off valve, the shower heads on off switch didn't work. I was glad I installed the seperate shut-off valve. I didn't need a new shower head, just the shut off valve. ☺️

The initial reason was so I didn't have to adjust the hot/cold controls when stopping water while taking a shower. That works perfectly but I had forgotten the luxury of no hurry, of taking my time while showering. Shaving in the shower always is nice and now I am not rushed to get the perfect shave... water bill... I won't know for a month or so.

Little did I think this would actually solve the problem but it is terrific! Our travel trailer shower would give you a burst of ice cold water when turning the water off and on for a “navy” shower. Someone on an RV forum suggested installing this as a solution. It worked! I’m thrilled. I’m not in love with this trailer so having one less thing to complain about it good for those around me!

Good product. I bought it because we are indrought conditions and I wanted an easy way to turn off the shower water. I will continue to use no matter what the conditions are. It's clear that water is getting more and more precious everywhere.

Works great for me. For me hand tightening was enough. I could see where this might fail for some people. If your threads don't exactly match because of slight tolerances or because of scuffing, then yes, I could see a leak. But that is why you use plumbers tape (which was included in my order). I don't see around the issue though for any product of this type. You'll just have to try to see if it fits exactly or not.

Loved it. Was hesitant about some complaints of restricting too much flow at full throttle, but I’ve not noticed any issue. Goes from full to complete shutoff and everything in between. Sturdy and well made. Definitely recommend.
