• USB-C to USB Adapter
  • Connections: USB 3.1 Gen 1, USB-C
  • Some USB accessories are not supported.

this is legit the actually Apple product . It works so good . I charge my phone , I plug the USB from my printer into this and words amazing. You don’t have to adjust anything or worry about it not working .

Just what I had to have to be able to use anything ! And the Price is way too much.My first thought was that it would be included with theNEW MAC BOOK PRO as costly as it is. The new power plug 4 port is nice but again I think it should have been included. $20.00 more dollars after spending what a person has already spent I think is a cheap shot out of Apple.

What I received was a genuine Apple product in Apple packaging. The USB-C connection is exactly the same as the connection that powers my MacBook Pro. The USB port works perfectly and is currently connected to an HP printer. It was a great convenience not to have to travel to an Apple store or wait for a delivery from Apple. The price was better, too.

With Apple’s new devices not including regular old USB ports, chances are you’ll need a fist full of these if you have any device from an external hard drive, to printer, to Ubikey. /Having/ to purchase dongles makes one want to shake one’s fist at the sky. The dongles, in traditional Apple manner, are exceptionally high quality, beautifully packaged, and feel somewhat overpriced for what they are. That said they are quite durable and work perfectly. One thing about that packaging box, it is sealed tight with all kinds of glue — you will destroy the box trying to get it out, which will likely make returns near impossible. Once you get it open, a beautifully crafted paper cradle presents the dongle, and once removed, it’s unlikely you would get it back in. Perhaps that’s the point. You’ll want to keep this in the heavy knapsack you have to carry around with you now because your laptop is too thin to have decent ports. I bought five. Don’t think I have enough, still.

Reading through the reviews and questions, I was really confused about whether this would work or not on my iPad Pro from late 2019, meaning it has the larger USB-C port instead of the lightening port. It does work well with the caveat that it's not as simple as plugging a device into a Mac computer. By downloading the app FE File Explorer, I was able to fully access files on a thumb drive by manually mounting the volume in the app. I tried doing the same with an external drive, but the drive requires USB power, which I assume the tablet does not have enough of, so it just let me see what was on the drive but not actually read the files. Hooking up to a printer would not work, because that requires printer drivers iOS does not have. In short if you want to use this for a specific app that says to use "a camera connection kit", like running a music app with the iPad Pro 2019 hooked up to a keyboard, you'll be fine. If you have the technical understanding to understand what a mobile iOS device can be expected to do, you'll also be fine. If you want it to try and use your iPad Pro like a computer, you'll likely be disappointed.

Before I purchased this item, I read all the reviews. There were some concerns that this was a cheap knock off. I was a little nervous that it would work. But I can assure you that this is an excellent product. All the packaging and the product itself are from Apple. The device fits perfectly in my Macbook pro computer and works as expected. This adapter feels solid and well made. This is a great value given the price of some of Apple's products. I would hesitate to buy this again.

It seems nice...typical Apple packaging, neat, presentable, etc. I like the USB C but Mac missed the mark by not including at least one USB A port on the newer Mac Airs.....I figured I could do without it, yet here I am....buying an adaptor to access some external HD's I had stored in one of my safes. Oh well, I made it about 18 months without one. Anyhow, it works well for accessing my external HD's. The real test for me will seeing if there are any issues interfacing with some HAM radio HT's that I need to reprogram. I was told by the software design company for the program that they've had 100% success with the actual Apple product and have had fair success with a knock off brand.

I hate adapters. So many adapters! And Apple’s are so expensive. That said, having had to get one (on sale) I like having a single purpose adapter for certain things, like this. There are few affordable usb c flash drives, some usb3.1-usb c flash drives, and, for quite a while, now, there’s undoubtedly going to be plenty of situations where someone has/wants/needs to give or receive info on a flash drive, or to use a boot drive, and I can handle having this one cord on me or to leave It at the office/school, and leave my 7 in 1, at home mostly. I don’t know about durability, as I haven’t had it for long, and Apple adapters don’t tend to be as bad as their past chargers/charging cables. So, so far so good. If it breaks anytime soon, I’ll change that statement.

There have been a few transubstantiation miracles throughout history. Jesus Christ turned water into wine. He also turned wine and bread into his blood and body. But Jesus is not alone in his transubstantiation abilities, oh no no no. Apple, you know, the computer company, has done it folks! They have turned USB in USB-C and what a product! It's small. It's white. It allows for CORDS to PLUG IN to BOTH ends! It allows you turn a run of the mill USB cord into something that can plug into a USB-C outlet! They've done it! And for the low low price of only $13.20. Cable? More like a godsend! Thanks Apple for making me a true believer!

Tried a few of the cheap generic USB to C adapters and non of them worked. So, bought this Apple product and of course it worked perfectly to allow a generic mouse to work with from our Mac Air C port. Seems well built and works great.
