Are you serious ? for this price point. I bought one of these to install at my mother in laws house. She does not want anything fancy, so i saw this and thought i was check out the quality. 3 years back i installed a QSEE system, 4 camera's, DVR with 500GB HD. That was $400, and honestly i see very little difference between the quality of the 2 systems, in actual fact, i think this one is giving better daytime quality than the QSEE. Nighttime quality seems good, i would say facial recognition at 25 feet. Put 7200RPM HD i had laying around (one of many) in, formatted it, recording in seconds. As a bonus, when it put it all back in the box, it all fit perfect !! i mean, who does that ?

I purchased this system a couple months ago along with a 2TB CCTV Hard drive and 20 inch LED monitor. Received the packages in no time with Prime. Packaged very secure with individually wrapped electronic parts. The install was overall easy to deal with after spending a couple of hours in the hot attic running wiring and locating the best spots for my cameras around the house. Work this when temperature is low of course. Definitely not a job for someone afraid of tight spaces though. The only problem that I have dealt with is the picture quality at night for some of the cameras has been a little fuzzy. Emma with customer service at Zozi has been excellent along with tech support trying to work out the problem with me. They are sending me a 1080P camera to replace the 720P included with the system and see if this corrects the problem. Hopefully so. Thank you Emma and Zozi.

The image from the cameras is clear and the night vision also has a clear picture much further than I thought. The motion detection works well and you can search the playback by motion detection events, which makes it easy to find anything. I feel the motion detection sometimes is too sensitive, but I may just need more time to adjust the settings properly. The app could use some improvement, as one cameras out of my 4 randomly disappears, and I have to unplug the camera and plug it back in and it comes back. Always a different camera, and it happens once every 4 or 5 days. I have it also plugged into a monitor and i never have the problem on the monitor, so the problem is just the app. I had a small problem with the time not being synchronized correctly but contacted customer support and they wrote me back the same day! They helped me via email until the problem was fixed, which is excellent, great customer support. The image from the cameras is also clear during big rains, as I have all my cameras outdoors. The PoE cameras make it even better to install, once they are connected, you just have to “auto add” cameras in the menu and they all show up, very easy. Overall an excellent set of cameras.

I actually bought this system on June 2017, but never got around to installing it until this June when some new neighbors moved in with rowdy teenagers that rule over their parents. The main problem and why I was not originally happy with the system is that it would freeze within hours of installation and after every power cycle thereafter. It was in this page that I found Emma's email which is a Point of Contact for support (EMMA@ANSJER.COM). I contacted her and she responded back to me within a day to request more details about my issue, order number, and model of my system. After I provided that information she responded back within hours and gave me detailed information on how to perform a system update. I followed her directions but the problem was not resolved, the system would only work for 4 to 5 hours and then freeze. I informed Emma that the update had no effect on the problem. At this point she informed me that a new replacement DVR System would be sent to my address. I provided all the information she requested and she shipped the new system the same day. I received my new replacement system in about 2 working days. I powered the new system and connect the cameras I was using with the broken DVR. I set up the new systems passwords, network connection, smtp mail settings, reinstalled the app for remote viewing, set the system motion detectors, set up alarms, and set up recording parameters. The NEW DVR has worked flawlessly for the past 4 days. No freezes, no crashes, no problems. The system just does what I wanted to do Pictures are clear at day and night with night vision, I get email notifications, and I can remotely have a live feed to my cameras and review recorded footage with my Android phone. Now I am very happy with my system. I am very grateful with Emma, she came through with her support and did every thing professionally and efficiently. Her performance made me change my initial impulse to trash this system. The Attached Pictures. 1. With a car. That picture was a snapshot taken using the Zosi app in my phone while I was 30 miles away at my job. The car is a moving vehicle and the setting for the camera view in the app is at "Clear" 2. The second picture with nothing but my sidewalk, is a snapshot taken using the Zosi app in my phone while I was away. The setting for the camera view in the app is at "High" Again, thank you Emma!

Heres the deal. I installed these on a rental house where Im having tenant issues. For that purpose they work. They are inexpensive and I had access to my own hard disks. The Good: Camera quality is surprisingly good in both resolution and physical durability. They do not feel cheap and light. Hopefully time will tell how waterproof they are. The seller seems to have good reviews on backing up the warranty though so again we'll see how it all turns out. Its also nice the system can go up to 8 channels, so there is room to add more. The resolution is very good as well and it gives the choice of standard or high res when viewing the app depending on how fast you want the buffer to run depending on your connection. High res is extremely nice. The Bad: Software just sucks. Its a PITA to get working. Ive hooked up numerous systems, even my own SWANN system (which is very nice when you get it up and running) but this one just does NOT want to cooperate. First it makes you create a random account for password retrieval, which is odd because there is no reason to ever retrieve a password since logging on the system requires the "LOCAL" account password. For that you can simply reset the system. Being that this is a VERY foreign (Chinese) system, it sort of makes you wonder. Secondly getting the system just to start working with the app was insanely difficult and the instructions are HORRIBLE. I will explain below in my tips for setting up. Also the android app (which I use) is pretty bad. It works on my phone (pixel 2), its works on my tenants phone (samsung) but is not compatible with my pixel C? Also it does require some odd permissions. Go in and turn off all the access in android that the app doesnt need like phone, microphone and any others. Im going to try one by one turning them all off until it just doesnt work. I dont like it wants local storage access (which might be for playback), location or camera either. I would like to install this on my pixel c tablet but it is not compatible. Also On the samsung phone you can get a 4 window view but for some reason on my pixel 2 Im only able to view one camera at a time. Have NOT figured this out. Now for some tips on setting up which I plan on possibly making a video for so others dont get frustrated: No matter HOW MANY times I tried to set this up using the ip/domain settings it would not take. I personally prefer that method for trouble shooting and control. No matter what ports I forwarded in the router and brain unit it just WOULD NOT work. I decided to try the QR scan method. That got me no where for 2 different days at about an hour each. I FINALLY figured out when scanning the QR the app was placing about 20 random invisible digits after the QR serial. Once I noticed that I removed those and entered the LOCAL password and it finally connected. Again you set up a random account when you install the app but thats all its for, its very suspicious honestly. Once the app was setup and connected though I got nothing but black screens on everything, all four cameras black. I then realized in the back I had connected the 4 cameras to slot 5-8 and not 1-4. Why this mattered to the unit is beyond me. Why the app just blacked out 5-8 even though it showed connected is strange. I placed the cameras on 1-4 and all of a sudden the app worked. On the actual unit all the cameras were viewing fine but the app is just really picky. Tech support is ONLY in China apparently but when emailing through amazon I did get some form of support back from someone who emailed back some image requests. Be SURE to blot out any personal IP info if you do send this tech support images. I next have to figure out how to utilize the record and playback plus setup an email account for image forwarding. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so the tips are !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! use LOCAL pass to login, NOT account pass!!! Make SURE cameras are in the port in order or it will NOT work!!! be SURE the app is not putting empty spaces after the QR serial when scanning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fix the app and you have a VERY solid affordable camera system Update - 5/31/19 I had to get a replacement system as the one I had continuously locked up and rebooted. It would also not keep the correct time, and this was an issue since installation but I figured it was a glitch and just memorized the difference. Also on every lock up it would reset the time if I changed it. Anyway getting a replacement was easy but upon install I was again having trouble. I just couldnt get the thing to work with the app. Apparently theres a new app called ZosiSmart in the android store and though its the same DVR (I think anyway), I need to use the new app because the serials have changed. It gave me a little trouble and took a couple DVR reboots but it finally caught the signal and connected. Seems to work fine, thought the new app appears to catch and run a bit slower than the old. Either way, I have my camera system back up and running on my units and let me tell you, thank god I did this as it got me out of a couple jams in just the one year it was up. Im able to position the systems cameras to see all 3 houses and their parking, plus watch the street (which I already told the police in the area I have the system in case they ever need footage. I work very well with the department in my area and its very well reciprocated. If you own any rentals or a business its a really good idea to build a working relationship with whatever law enforcement covers your neighborhoods. I want to especially thank Emma from ZOSI, who helped me through the process via email.

This zosi security system is awesome! At 79.99 it gives great picture quality during the day and at night. Setup was simple by just running the wires and finding where your cameras will go. It didn't come w a hard drive but I had one laying around and used that. I just opened the box and plugged it into the provided SATA cables. I did run in to a few problems during setup but they were solved with a little thought. 1. The DVR system comes press to a lower resolution for a HDMI cable, so if u have a 1080 p or better tv, then you better find a 720 p tv to plug the HDMI cable into so you can see the screen to change the resolution. 2. The cameras come w 2 adjustments. The first is obvious for up and down or side to side but the second is the nearest screw to the camera itself. Unscrew this almost all the way out to rotate the camera in any direction then screw it back in to use as a set screw.

Bought this wired system for my free standing garage, because we don't have dedicated wifi. Did a temporary test setup in my home since I was skeptical of the quality at such a low price. Didn't want to put in the effort to do the final install to find out it was a bust. Installed the $35 500 GB Western Digital hard drive that I purchased separately, hooked the DVR up to an old lcd tv via vga, hooked up cameras, powered it up, followed instructions to format the hard drive, set it to record and watched it work. Took 30 minutes and it has been running for a couple of days with no issues. I've been able to easily review the recorded content. Camera Day/night feature works great and transitions smoothly as light levels change. I'm now satisfied it really is a great deal and will do final install in the garage next week. Several friends have indicated an interest in purchasing a system for their homes.

With any product no matter how good, there are sometimes problems. It is at those times that we hope for good customer service and let me tell you that is exactly what I got! The DVR that shipped to me would not record. After providing a little information and trouble shooting, Zosi decided to send me a new (and upgraded) DVR free of charge! Now everything is working like a charm. This camera system is watching over my parents' house now and they are getting a little older. This gives them and me peace of mind. The interface is simple to use and my parents love having a monitor where they can see all the way around their house while sitting in their den. Since the original unit was a 4 channel and the new one is an 8 channel I am thinking of adding some cameras too!
