Best cork canvas block I have purchased. I love to steam my wigs to curl them and needed something really sturdy to T-pin the lace down too. I can honestly say I will never buy a styrofoam mannequin ever again after purchasing this product. Its the highest quality and I couldn't say rave enough about it. If you're new to wig styling, I can offer a helpful pro-tip too! If you're using any moisture (such as steam, water, etc) use saran or regular cling wrap from your kitchen and wrap the mannequin head in it. When you do this it prevents moisture from getting into and expanding the cork, keeps the fabric clean of stains, and prevents mold or bacteria from growing.

No smell, Very pleased

After reading the reviews I thought the canvas head would have a smell, but mine has no smell, it's sturdy and well put together. I am very pleased with the purchase and can't wait to make wigs!

You'll get a great use out of this

What I like most about this canvas head is that you can get a better image of how the hair will look on your head oppose to the foam heads. The foam heads are slightly tilted, slender face, pointed nose and not to my DNA look. The canvas is sturdy, built to last, give you a full facial round about impression, no nose, eyes, cheekbones, lips or jaw line, so when you place the style of hair on the head you can use your own imagination instead of a one given look that has nothing to do with your personal facial feature. The T-pins slide in easily & snug. I love this & it was a great buy.

You get what you pay for - High Quality

I stopped buying the foam heads because they start to disintegrate and then you've got little white styrofoam crumbs all in your wig hair! So it was finally time to invest in the real deal. I went with the cork because I read horror story reviews about mold and indentations, so I spent a few dollars extra and purchased something I believe will last for years. I Scotchguarded mine so it doesn't suffer from mold or water damage (when wet styling) Also I hit it with a blow dryer afterwards so that it maintains its fresh smell and integrity. So cool styling with it, not worrying about how much pressure I apply or whether its going to slip off or not. Worth the money, you won't regret it.

Quality!

Overall this Canvas is very durable and is exactly what you see. I purchased this to start making wigs for my clients and thought I could get away with a 21". I would definitely recommend purchasing 22" or greater for better quality wig. I will need to get one soon myself. Also measure the circumference of your head before purchasing. If you're a stylist like myself, you can purchase all of them to suit your clients head. This is the perfect canvas being that nothing comes out of the canvas if you poke a needle through it.

Instructions on how to measure head

Originally I was unhappy with the first purchase because instructions on how to measure wasn't found any were. Measuring instructions are emailed out 24 hours after purchase by GEX. The instructions found on internet were inaccurate in how to measure for this particular canavas head. So I did have to return item and make a new purchase. But these people at GEX really make every effort to make sure you are happy and receive the right canavas, and that's why I made sure I returned to correct my review. So after receiving the correct canavas size not leaving out the excellent customer service from both GEX and Amazon I have to give this head and company 5 stars. But just fyi GEX please list measuring instructions so buyers can buy right product ahead of purchase an not 24 hours via email after purchase as this isn't helpful and delays hair styling time. I absolutely enjoy styling on this canvas. Very steardy and well put together. It was defiantly worth the hassle in the end. Thanks GEX.

Looks like the pictures

I have amazon prime, so I had two day shipping. It had a delay so it arrived three days later instead of two, which is fine. It has a corky smell but nothing too smelly. Looks like it does in the pictures. Will update review as soon as I make my wigs on it!
