Bought this to replace a similar "in-CD" phone holder. My Note5 moved the headphone jack to the bottom of the phone, so I couldn't easily connect it to my car radio. This one works well, thought it takes some getting used to when you eject your phone from the holder. Holds a Note5 without getting loose or sagging.

Great mount for my phone. I have an HTC One, with an Otterbox case. It's a pretty hefty phone, weighing in at about 225 grams. Other phone mounts either couldn't hold it steady, or couldn't stay put one even a decent road. This holds my phone perfectly, and doesn't budge on any road I've driven so far. The case on my phone has a slightly curved back; I didn't think the holder would be able to grab the phone securely enough, however it holds it firmly. Very impressive. The installation isn't the easiest thing in the world; while simple, it is somewhat difficult to reach the knob to tighten it in, and then tightening the collar around the ball mount is the worse. However, once tightened, you won't need to re-tighten it. The worst part is that it does quite badly obscure my CD players screen. Overall though, with how well it holds my phone, I have to give it 5 stars. This thing is like how you imagine your favorite role models handshake; very firm, but not crushing. If you have a heavy phone that silly magnets and suction cups fear, give this a try.

Don't pass up a good dependable phone mount.

This is a must for anyone who drives and has a cell phone. The mount, once securely placed, does not fall. I have gone over pot holes and bumpy roads and the mount AND phone remained in place. You adjust the grip of the mount in your CD player by a turning knob so you have to decide what works best for you. As for the grip holding the phone, it is VERY sturdy once placed properly. I would definietly recommend as i also got on for my sister and brother-in-law and they LOVE it as well.

Outstanding overall product from a company that really does care about their products. Recently had an issue with one of the fastening parts of the ipad holder and I was well outside the return window. A quick note to the folks at ipow and my product was replaced. They could easily have blown me off, but they didn’t and that’s why I’ll be a repeat customer and a source of referrals. Refreshing to know that integrity and pride in workmanship can still be found. Perfect for those whose radio displays are under their CD slot.

The base's shape compliments the interior of my car perfectly, and having the dial on the top of the mount keeps it from blocking my radio's display when I have the phone mounted horizontally. The box it came in did a great job of protecting its contents during shipping. The price also can't be beat for what I was looking for. The only thing I can really consider a negative is the slight vibration when driving. An important thing to note, however, is that I drive a sport car with a stiff suspension and a lowered ride height so you'd feel the road much more in this car than you would in an average vehicle. That being said, this mount is completely stable once you put it on securely. Even with it bouncing around when I drive aggressively, it has always stayed right where it's supposed to be. I use this mount with a Galaxy S7 Edge in a slim case and it manages to hold onto my phone just fine. Overall, this mount is definitely worth the low price I paid for it. Would instantly recommend to anyone whose radio displays are under the CD slot.

Exactly what I needed without magnets or shaking holders.

Exactitud what wanted for my iPhone 6s Plus. A holder that would not shake or dry with heat or loose suction. The ipow cell phone cd slot holder it's just perfect. I have a VW Passat and fit perfectly on the cd loading gap. Vertical Or diagonal perfect to reach quickly answer buttons or gps maps. Even as a passenger entertainment since the holder can be adapted to point on the direction you want it's very convenient. I got earlier a AC vent holder and does not even compare how stable it is without damaging the vent or freezing your phone. Very happy costumer here and price was even better. Quality and value!!! I recommend it to everybody no matter the car you drive it's the perfect holder for your phone! Thank you!

Neat and nice looking

I have an iPhone 6 plus with the Apple leather case, and have this holder mounted on a Chevy Traverse. There are two nuts, one to tighten and hold the holder at a desired angle, and the other to hold it in the CD slot. Without the charging cord, the phone really looks very nice and neat compared to the dash mounted bean bag I was using. The location is about right, although it covers a small part of my radio screen. The phone is held securely so you can tap the screen without it moving, but you will need two hands to take the phone in and out of the holder. Took less than a week to get the product from the time I ordered.

Clever

These cradles that mount in the CD player are super clever. As soon as i found out they existed i had to have one. Works fine in my stock Honda Fit head unit. I do wish that the spring was a little less powerful, as inserting/removing the phone has the potential to alter the position you've set it in, but otherwise i have no complaints.

Easy installation!

This is the perfect addition to my morning and afternoon commute! I recently was transferred within my company to have gone from an 8 minute commute to a 45-1hr commute and needed something to prop up my phone so I don't feel tempted to look down at my seat while driving. The placement of the phone with this mount is perfect and the mount is removed and installed with ease. It comes with stickies to help keep it in place but I found that I didn't need them. The CD player will still work also, so I count that as a win!
