Good solid radio for the money

Very simple to use. You'll spend more time trying to get these out of the impenetrable packaging than learning to use them. They feel solid. We used to use similar Motorola radios in helicopters for years. These also have the capabilities to use repeaters, which takes an FCC license. Handy if you are out in the boonies out of cell range and don't have a Sat-phone. As for range, 35 miles... Lol, maybe on paper, under perfect conditions using line of sight. Figure a couple of miles depending on topography. Hard to beat for the Bucks.

Motorola two-ways have improved

Used 8 times since purchase: ... solid build quality ... clear reception and transmission ... range is adequate for my typical use = less than a mile ... typical motorola screen icons and prompts ... available belt clip is significant improvement over easily broken prior types.

Great Radio

Great radio which plays well with other brands. Flashlight is a nice touch as well. Fits well in hand but the belt clip isn't all that secure. The micro USB charging is perfect as everyone has a car charger and plenty of spares to travel with. Charger that comes with it has two plugs to charge both radios.

love it, it just works... survived the ultimate toughness test i.e Kids using it

works as advertised. I mostly use it at my farm, so i havent tested it at its extreme range. Does the job for me, and my kids love playing around with it. If kids have been using it and it hasnt broken that means the build quality is top notch.

Great high quality product. I recommend!

Fast Shipping and great product for the price! These work pretty well around the neighborhood up to 1/4 mile. Further than that, you begin to pick up a lot of interference. The quality of the radios are great like always with Motorola. The carry bag is nothing special and is nice and large enough to carry additional batteries and electronics. I haven't had a chance to use in in the mountains yet, but will update when i do.

Talkabout for hunting

We have owned our original motorola talkabouts about ten years now. They have been great for hunting but they were worn out. So last year I got us new ones, you know the latest and greatest kind of ones. They we're horrible; we tried to like them, but I'm the end there was too much wrong with them. So I dicided to see if they had a new version of the talk about radios. We we're very pleasantly surprised. As far as Hunters we are very happy with these radios.We can understand each other clearly. Additionally everybody else can use their own radios, and they all work well together. As a sportsman I would highly recommend the new talk about. The hunter series is the one that we purchased.
