Awesome Thread

OMG, let me tell you, this thread is great. I have not experienced not one thread break. The colors are very bright and beautiful. I have done many projects as well as jobs for clients and these spools will surprise you will the amount on it for size. Will definitely order again.

Great Value

This thread is bright and has a great sheen as expected. Its very sturdy. I've used it on a canvas applique, vinyl, felts without any breakage. I used it to hand sew the dinosaurs legs on and really tugged on it trying to get them tight. Even when using through a few layers it didn't shred or break. Even looks great after washing! Designs by Pink Aviator, Snuggle Puppy Designs and Planet Applique.

Extremely happy with this set!

I am a beginner to embroidery, so this set was the perfect choice for me. I’ve also been using it for regular sewing on other craft projects. As far as durability, so far so good, which is why I only gave it 4 stars. Everything else is wonderful. In fact, I’m going to order some brighter colors like neon or hot colors. This set also came with a few bobbins and a sheet of stiff stabilizer. So happy with this set.

These are beautiful and work well with my Brother machine! Some other brands can break, split, etc. Each time I used one of these, my designs turned out beautifully! Each spool has the color number used by Brother, which makes it easy with patterns. There’s a chart included that shows the color and number, too. I’m ready to buy even more gorgeous colors!!

Nice thread, beautiful colors

This thread is somewhat thinner than the thread I'm used to. However, it sews well and the filled areas of the embroidery look good. I did have an issue with a fill on terry cloth, but on everything else it has worked well. The customer service is great, prompt answers and helpful suggestions. I do keep my Embroidery speed down to 600 instead of what it could run at 800 and have no problems with thread. If you do an embroidery design that has a lot of thin lettering you do want to slow it down even further. However, overall I have been happy with this thread. The colors are beautiful. The cones are smaller than I thought because I had mini kings before and these are not. But they were a great price.

Great embroidery threads!!!

The threads were delivered promptly and packaged securely. This is a very nice selection of colors and there were complimentary bobbins and stabilizer. The threads worked great on my Brother machine. I had no issues with broken threads, knotting, or skipped stitches. The colors are bright and the assortment is lovely. I think the value is incredible. One of my favorite things is that the color numbers are so easy to read. It was easy to get the threads started.

Not bad, lots of colors to choose from but not the same as a 3k yard spool either.

I am using this pile of thread for serging with my bother 1034d. It holds up well and there are lots of colors to choose from....almost too many. Each spool has a fair amount of thread on it but for those new to serging a set of 4 of these bobbins would be easy to use in a full day of sewing.

UPDATE: Thread works well with my PE 770, I've had no problems. Had to commend customer service at Simthread, contacted me about the missing spool, went above and beyond to correct. Great customer service at Simthread and so nice to do business with a company that values its customers. Thanks! Just used several spools, seems to work well with my machine. Only received 39 spools, but seems like good color selection

Excellent Quality Thread

I ordered the Simthread to see how it would work in my Babylock. When I saw the thread I was happy with the colors and the sheen. For the little bird I needed several colors within the same family for shading and I think it turned out quite well. The thread was strong and I had no issues pulling the start end from the cone. I am extremely happy with it and will order again. I did two projects. The first was a set of four napkins with just a simple flower. The napkins are polyester and very slippery. They are also thin and distort easily. I floated them with tear away. I had no issues with the thread at all. The second project was done on a flour sack tea towel. I was experimenting and lazy so I did get puckering but that is the fault of the operator, not the towel or the thread. I chose to float on a single layer of vilene. The towel really should have been hooped or if floated I should have used tear away. I had read where others had floated on vilene with success. I am not happy with the puckering but the thread stitched out beautifully. This was a VERY dense stitchout. I had no issues with breakage or shredding. Overall I am very happy with this thread and plan on purchasing some variegated and metallics. There is one comment that would make using this thread a bit easier for me. The color numbers are on the bottom of the cone. I store my thread in a plastic covered box and would prefer the color number where I can see both the number and the color without having to lift the spool from its storage box.

Great for Baby Locks!

Works great for my baby lock Ellure sewing and embroidery machine! Someone else said the same and that's why I went with this one. Only broke about 3 times but other then at very minimal breakage. I can walk away and know that my thread isn't going to break while it's completing a project. Loved the color choices! Came with free bobbines filled with embroidery thread and free tear away stabilizer.
