It took -106 cell phone and made it about -80 with booster! Unusable signal to useable

In Montana not near any town. Nearest is 8 miles away with MOUNTAINS in the way. But there is hope. Using cell phone and walking around, I found usually NO SIGNAL and sometimes VERIZON -122 to -106. Mounted the magnetic antenna to the satellite antenna that was laying flat on the roof to give it some ground plane. Ran cable inside and turned on booster. Cell now read -84 to -76 depending on how close I was to the inside antenna. Made call to my sister and good comm! Next a VERIZON Hotspot was placed near the inside antenna. VOILA: Ipads and computer worked well. Could watch YOUTUBE videos and check the usual web addresses without a problem! This was with the small magnetic antenna that was supplied. Another review suggested an antenna upgrade. Am investigating....... The campisite was at a BLM site besides Ruby Dam in Montana not to far from Adler, Montana. Apparently there was some signal getting through the mountains up the canyon downstream of the dam.

Yes, it works... plain and simple.

Works very well. We moved up to the country with many dead areas with no signal. I was dubious when I bought this and paid 500+ dollars but after having loosely installed it now to test it I am thrilled to say it does indeed work and works well. I just held a 30-minute phone call through three patches where I always drop phone calls. Well worth the price for me anyway.

Weboost 4G-X works!!

I was skeptical at first on if it worked or not but I will say today after having it almost a year that it does work. It won't give you clear calls when there wasn't service before but it will receive and send text when there wasn't service before and if the signal is weak but there it will boost it a bit. Not a ton, but a bit, worth the money for sure.

I was skeptical at first but after reading reviews, I decided to order one on Amazon. I am thoroughly impressed with this product at its ability to consistently boost my phones signal. I have been using this device while traveling up and down the East coast and the difference is night and day. Since I have owned the weBoost 4G-X, I have had a Samsung S6, S7 and now S8. It has significantly improved signal strength on all 3 phones and has been a reliable asset on extended road trips. While it's probably best to install and leave in place, the device is small and manageable enough to move from car to car. I've even packed it in my carry on to drop into a rental car for extended trips.

Finally have service in the oilfield

I have been stuck on job sites not having the ability to make or receive phone calls or texts throughout South Texas. A few of my coworkers have this device and are able to use their iPhones while on the job, and now I can too. I've been having trouble with dropped calls while commuting, and this too has been alleviated due to this device. Well worth the money spent to have uninterrupted service.

Bought this not sure if it would be a waste of money

Bought this not sure if it would be a waste of money. We do a lot of camping/Jeep trails off the beaten path in the Colorado Rocky Mountains where we do not get any signal from Verizon or anyone else. I bought this on Amazon and got it last week. We headed out on the Jeep trail Sunday. I had absolutely no Verizon signal on my phone. I plugged this in and powered it up and I immediately had 4 bars and a 4G signal and could makes calls and send/receive email and text messages. This is great! We'll be taking it with us every time we head out into the back country.

If every purchase that I make would go this smooth I would be extremely happy. One may ask if everything went so good why was customer service involved. Well I love to know the how and why on technical products and let just say that no matter the question I had I got a response and not a script it was a genuine conversation and I did not feel rushed to resolve any issue.

We take our travel trailer to many remote locations. This unit is easy to transfer from the tow vehicle (when driving) to the trailer (when camping). Both our tablets and our two cell phones connect simultaneously (two are 3G and two are 4G LTE). Amazing how it can boost virtually no signal to video streaming quality. One complaint is you can't "hide" the base unit--you must keep it visible so as to know when to manually reset it (unplug/replug) if a red light comes on--doesn't automatically reset itself. Also, if your trailer/RV has a rubber roof, swing by a metal shop and get a chunk of 1/4" plate steel (ours is 8" x 8") to place on the RV roof when parked for the outdoor antenna to magnetically mount to. The outdoor antenna actually uses the vehicle's steel roof as part of its gain properties. So you need a piece of steel under the outdoor antenna.

What it will and won't do!

This booster will not give you any signal where you have none. What it will do is improve the signal you already have. I have found that it boosts your signal strength about 3 to 5 bars. For example, if you have a signal of 1x with one bar, you would get boosted to 1x with four bars or possibly as much as 3G with one bar. That is what it does. 3 to 5 bars of improvement. Again, if you have no signal where you are attempting to use this booster you will still have no signal with this booster. It only boosts the signal you already have. It works well and has boosted my 1x signal to 3G in places, and my 3G to 4G in others.

RV owners - upgrade the external antenna!

Okay, let's get the BS out of the way, I own a Class A motorhome which is a fiberglass body. The magnetic mount external antenna will never work on fiberglass, it requires a ground plane (hence the magnet) from a metal body. Had this for 1 year and never saw it do anything for my signal. I was getting ready to throw it out but then decided to call Wilson tech support. They suggested I use silicon sealant to glue down a piece of flat metal to my RV roof to use the factory antenna. I did not buy a Newmar diesel to glue crap to my roof! So then they tell me that a new cellular exterior antenna has just been released for semi's and RVs. It is the 4G-OTR Antenna (Truck Edition). Priced is steep at $99.00, but I need maximum coverage when parked. I ordered one from Wilson and received it within 2 days. This thing is LONG, 19" without the mount bracket, so I cannot mount it on the roof of my RV, it would clip the first bridge I went under. And, it must be mounted vertically to work correctly. I personally think it is too ugly to hang off the side of my RV to eliminate the height issue. I need this when I am parked, not driving. So I find this pesky tv antenna on my roof that has never been used........ I used a piece of 1.25" aluminum L and built a small mount that mounted to my crank-up antenna frame. When the antenna is raised, the cellular antenna is perfectly parallel. When the antenna is lowered for travel, the cellular antenna sits parallel to my roof. This works like a charm now, my signal went from -121 DB to -79 DB in the coach!
