I am an older female with no experience with auto upkeep other than keeping them clean and getting the oil changed. I had a tire that was not flat, but very low so I didn't feel comfortable driving it anywhere on a search for a station with an air pump. I found this product on Amazon and it sounded perfect for my situation. I read the instructions that came with it, went to my car and was pleased to discover it was just as easy to use as described. It worked very fast to inflate my tire. I like its compact size and how it stores the cords right inside itself and the case is an added plus. I have it stored in my trunk and feel much safer on the road knowing I don't have to worry about it needing batteries or charging. The display is easy to read and it does shut off once the psi setting is reached. I am pleased with my purchase.

I previously had a Husky (Home Depot brand) 12V air compressor, but it was slow, rather oddly shaped, and its pressure reading was often 3 PSI off compared to a better tire pressure gauge I have. After going through two of those that each broke in different ways far earlier than they should have, I started looking for something better, and I chose this one. There are several things I like about it: - It's pretty fast for a portable compressor. I have performance tires that are wide but not very tall (size 245/35/20 and 295/30/20), and they need be inflated in the high 20 to mid-30 PSI range. This compressor can add about 1 PSI to those tires per 8-10 seconds, which is roughly twice as fast as the Husky compressor I had. - Being able to set a target pressure so the compressor will stop when it's reached rather than having to watch the compressor the entire time is a nice touch. - The pressure indicator is often spot on compared to my dedicated pressure gauge. The worst I've seen is a reading 1.5 PSI lower than my pressure gauge, i.e. the compressor added a bit more air than it should've. But that's not enough to matter for the vast majority of use cases, and if that's enough to matter in your use case, you probably have also have real pressure gauge. - I like its "box" design. It makes it easier to pack with other equipment compared to the awkward shape of most portable compressors. - The LED and its various available modes are nice I suppose, especially if you're working at night and/or stranded on the side of the road, but I personally don't need that feature for my purposes.

I am 70 years old and a disabled female. I have been relying on many tire centers to check the air in my car for me when I have to go out of town and it was embarrassing. I decided to get this and it is soooo easy to use. I love it and now I can do it myself. Come to find out, the tire centers had way too much air in my tires and that is why my car was driving squirrely. I highly recommend this for people like myself. It gives you peace of mind just having it in the car!

I bought this because the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) in my new car was warning me the tire pressure was low. Before filling the tires, I checked it with TEKTON 5941 Digital Tire Gauge, 100 PSI, which I purchased alongside the compressor. The pressure was reading about 8 psi below the rated pressure of the tires. So I flipped on the ignition and connected the compressor and had all 4 tires at pressure in under 15 minutes (which is great because you don't want it to overheat from continuous use and the compressor fills fast enough to get the job done before that limit is reached). The 12V cigarette lighter adapter has a long enough cord that you should have no issue reaching all 4 tires in any sedan chassis, so long as you run the cord out whatever front door is on the side of the tire you want to fill. I considered buying other cheaper models like the one from AAA, but what drew me to this product were the high reviews and the fact that it looks like industrial designers worked on it to provide a good user experience... all those little things like cable management, storage, display/interface, etc. The little things are what earn the product its five star rating.

i originally received a unit that was DOA. I emailed the product supplier, since according to their claims they want to "make things right" for their customers. No reply, so I returned the item. Update: I finally received a reply from the seller. They said my email went to their spam folder, and apologized profusely. They promptly shipped me a replacement and it works fine. Accordingly, I'm updating my rating and comments. This is a nice product that works well. Just be sure your engine is running when you turn this unit on, or you'll likely blow a fuse, either in the car or in the product. Speaking about fuses, I found out you can change the fuse by unscrewing the front end of the cigarette lighter plug.

I'm "blown away" by this tire inflator. I've tried several of these including some of the cordless ones and all of them fall short to this. After trying several all-in-one type tire inflators and battery chargers I'm convinced that it's best to use a dedicated inflator as they tend to work better. This one plugs into your cigarette lighter so you never have to worry about keeping it charged and the cord is very long so I had no issues running it to all of my tires. It inflates my tires at about 0.5psi every 7 seconds, which is pretty fast compared to other portable inflators I've used. It uses the screw-on connector so you don't have to worry about getting a solid connection. Once you twist it all the way on, you're good to go and it puts a tiny bit of extra air in to make up for a small amount of air that is lost when unscrewing it form the valve stem. It has a nice bright LED lamp on the side that's sort of helpful when using it in the dark. My only gripe is that the light is useless for seeing the buttons on the side of the unit. I suppose it would have been a little more helpful to have a swivel light instead of a stationary one but at this price I can't be picky. It does get pretty loud but definitely quieter than the one on my battery charge. It's small enough that I can throw it in my truck and it doesn't take up much space. Overall I'm very happy with this and plan to keep it for a long time.

If you are looking for an inexpensive, but good quality 12 volt tire inflation compressor, this is the product for you! I read a number of reviews and settled on this product. It arrived and I immediately put it to use. It's a very compact, efficient design, with compartments to store the air hose, as well as the 12 volt power cord. It also comes with a convenience carrying case. The power cord seems to be long enough to reach all tires, although I purchased a heavy duty 12 volt accessory extension, just in case. The inflator has a digital display for setting and reading the tire pressure in multiple units of measure, including the US PSI measure. It seems to have plenty of power to inflate all types of tires, even those that require 50 lbs PSI. Some reviews complained about the fact that air escapes when unscrewing the air hose from the tire valve. However, I did not find this to be an issue. You simply have to unscrew it without delay. Only a slight amount of air will escape if you do this quickly. To have the convenience of the screw on air hose is definitely a huge plus with this product. In summary, if you are looking for a great tire inflator, at a reasonable price, then do not hesitate to buy this product. The seller I purchased this from was also quite good. With email communication and delivery on time.

Worked one time. Next time I tried to use it would not pump. Digital lights all worked but pump would not work. Piece of junk. Harbor freight junk is better than this. After posting that I got an email from ms. Yolanda Cooke,co- founder of P.I. Stores and she not only sent me a new one , she refunded my money. When I got her mail I was very skeptical however, she did exactly what she said she was going to do. Now that, my friends, is customer service. I would have been happy with the replacement, a refund is above and beyond. I am changing my review from 1 star to 5 stars and I don’t care if the new one works or not because any merchant that is that dedicated to customer service is most certainly going to get any future purchases of mine. The real stunner is: I didn’t contact her, she read review and contacted me. That just doesn’t happen anymore. I’m most impressed

The other day my new car's pressure monitoring system announced I had lost pressure in one tire. I checked it, and sure enough, it was down about nine pounds -- so I set about finding a local gas station with an air machine. Two were down with malfunctions, and another had a huge line. The next day, both broken ones had been "fixed," but neither seemed able to muster enough pressure to fill my tire. So I actually bought this machine to fill a specific tire. The same day it arrived, I took it out of the box, surprised at how small it was -- maybe the size of a hardcover book -- and connected it to the car in the garage. You have to connect it to the car's "cigarette lighter" adapter and turn the accessory power on with the key. The cord is nice and long and easily sat on the ground next to the rear tire. It added the nine pounds I needed in less than a minute. I like the ability to set the pressure you want, although you have to time it a bit -- you want to remove it from the valve as soon it's done or some air can leak back out. It worked so well I topped off my other tires, then backed my wife's car out of the garage and showed her how to use it. Her tires all needed a few pounds, and the machine filled them all at just a couple of minutes each. It was actually much faster than the newer, weaker machines at the gas stations recently. This is a lightweight device, which is convenient for carrying -- it would almost go in a large glovebox -- but I do wonder about durability. Still, for the price, filling five tires easily and quickly at home vs. waiting in line and / or paying $1 per minute makes it a no-brainer. For this price, everyone should have one of these tucked away in their car somewhere. UPDATE: This device worked just as well as I described, then quit after two years of very light use, but the manufacturer saw my review and replaced it with a new, redesigned unit. I'm very impressed. Good company.

This inflator has worked fine so far (about two months). It is very user friendly and intuitive. Unit does get warm, but not too hot. Quite easy to screw on the nozzle. It inflated my tires accurately and quickly. From 15PSI (essentially flat) to 40PSI in about four minutes on my 20 inch SUV tires. That is quite fast, compared to any other portable inflator. The inflator is a bit noisy, as can be expected. Best part: I can screw on the nozzle, turn on the inflator and then go inside my car to wait. It stops automatically when set pressure level is reached. Small area for product improvement: No backlight for the LCD display. Please add a backlight. I added a mini key-chain LED light to the unit to see the display at night. I have also used a small mirror with the built-in LED light to see the LCD display at night.
