Qualihome Premium Door Stop Replacement Rubber Tip, White (50 Pack) I can't put them on the hinge type door stops. Baseboard type door stops go on with effort. Going to try hot water tip from others next. A short soak in hot tap water did the trick (with effort). This size seems to be too small for the screw side of the hinge type door stop tho. Update 1.29.18: With soaking in really hot water and even more effort, I was able to finally put them on the screw side of the hinge type door stops.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the rubber door stop tips are hard rubber and do not stretch easily-when cold. However, I put them on in a snap after putting them in a saucepan of water and heating them. I heated them up until near boiling, then removed them with a slotted spoon. I wrapped them in a towel which served the purpose of drying them off (don't forget the central divot!) as well as insulating them and protecting my hand. I only did a few at a time (I left the others in the water to stay warm). Easy peasy. No need to trim off the rim. Once they pop on, they fit perfectly. I did both the screw in door stops as well as the ones that fit on the hinges. (Sorry, I do not know the brand of my stops, but they seem standard).

Just what I'd been looking for. I didn't realize how many of my interior doors have hinge pin doorstops (placed there to restrict door movement) until I noticed several of the 20+ year old rubber bumpers had dried up and in some cases disintegrated altogether. Rather than replacing all these hinge pin doorstop with new sets, I just needed to replace the two bumper tips on each unit. This product was reasonably priced and ideal for this need. Note: these tips are good quality rubber, yet they are somewhat difficult to install due to being fairly inflexible at room temperature. I took the advice I'd seen to place the tips in a pan of hot water for a minute or so to make them more pliable for installation, and that worked perfectly. Once mounted on the hardware piece and recooled to room temperature, they're there to stay. I replaced all tips with no issues whatsoever.

Our cat keeps stealing the rubber tips of all our door stoppers at home, so for the price and the quantity you get I hope these work as a replacement. They are a tight fit but I welcome that since it might make it harder for the cat to mess with them and I will be using some kind of gorilla glue or something to help with this issue. Anybody wants a cat, let me know (JK)

Virtually all of the rubber tips on our 14 year old house were starting to crack and fall off. Since there is nothing wrong with the metal stops themselves, all I needed was new tips (LOTS of them!). I shopped around at local hardware stores and the big box stores - no luck buying them anywhere until I tried Amazon and found these. The quantity is what I needed and the price was great. Delivery was very quick, and it looks like these will work just fine. There IS a smaller diameter neck on the inside, but there are several ways this could be easily handled and mentioned in other reviews on the product (soak in very hot water to expand the rubber, carefully "whittle" a bit of the inner edge off the rubber, etc.). Glad I found this product from this vendor - highly recommended!

I had not realized how old and broken down my rubber tips on the door stoppers had gotten. They were cracked and horribly dirty. They looked simply awful and several had actually fallen off. Rather than buy new door stoppers I opted to go inexpensive and just buy some new tips. I had assumed I could put them on by using a rubber mallet - WRONG! Then I read the suggestion to soak them in hot water for a few minutes - that softened them up nicely and they snapped right on. I am certainly pleased that I found these and who cares if I have many left over for future use. I definitely got my money's worth.

These are pretty heavy duty rubber door stop tips. They are fatter, more round, then the original ones that come with the entire metal door stop. There are threads inside that screw onto the existing metal door stop which seems to me will keep them on better than the original slim ones. Have only used one so far but anxious to get the rest on and taken care of they will do the job very well. Every time my mom walked by and hit one with her walker or my granddaughter would play with the door stop the original rubber tip would go flying I do not believe these will.

Review a bumper for a door stop..... Right! So here we go... Fits good, goes on easy, does what it is made to do - stop the door without damaging it or leaving marks. There's only so much you can ask of a good rubber tip and this bumper ticks all the boxes.

These are EASY TO INSTALL if you do this simple trick. Place the stoppers into a mug of water and microwave on High for 2 minutes. The boiling water makes them very pliable and they slip right on, but just be careful with the hot water. Even after the first batch, you can add more to the heated water and in about a minute they'll be ready to pop right on so you can carry the mug around the house and do all of your doors. Cold, out of the bag, yes they are difficult to install. This is the best deal going for these tips and when you start doing a count around the house you will appreciate getting 50 of them in a pack.

These are easy to install and fit perfectly. The doorstops these were going on were from the early 1960's so I was concerned that they wouldn't fit. The outer diameter of the end of our doorstop was 3/8" but the inner part of the stem was 1/4". It was a perfect fit. I followed one person's instructions to lay the rubber tip on the table and press the end of the doorstop down into it. It went right on without much effort. I thought surely I could do the same in the palm of my hand, but quickly went back to a solid surface - so much easier.
