This fan is fantastic! It is very quiet and it moves a lot of air.

This isn't the first time I've used a commercial product for home use. If you understand the trade offs, it can be a great comfort at a great price. Such is the case with this fan. Yes, it is big and heavy. And, like lots of other commercial appliances I've used it isn't as quiet as a home product. In terms of airflow, however, you can't beat it. I deployed this baby down in our large garden level which often suffers from poor air flow. I can't imagine anybody would want to sleep under the fan, but it did the trick. Suddenly otherwise dead air was moved around. The fan created a nice flow pushing air through the couple of windows and making the whole floor far more comfortable. Like I said, the trade off is the noise (which is like an old 70s air conditioner) and the weight, which comes in at over 60lbs. For us, it is well worth it. One side note, assemble with care. The instructions are completely sufficient, but in a few places you need to go slow and examine what you're being told (for example, note the direction each bolt should go when attaching the motor to the column). Either way, this fan will make for a much more habitable summer.

I currently live in a studio apartment. For the past year and a half my roommate had been complaining that we need a fan between the sleeping area and the living room to help circulate the cool air from our air conditioner. When I had the opportunity to try the ILIVING COMMERICAL PEDESTAL FLOOR FAN, 30”, I figured it would do the trick. I confess that I didn’t completely read the description and just saw the 30” and thought, “Oh, that’s not quite 3 feet tall, so that should be fine.” Boy was I surprised when I found this packaged delivered. I got a good work out carrying it up the flights of stairs. Once in our apartment, it took my roommate and me over and hour to put it together. The instructions, although in English, where clearly translated from some other language and were basically worthless. We pretty much had to rely upon our own know-how to get it together. Unfortunately, once we had it assembled, we had to move it into the doorway separating the living room area from the sleeping room area. At this point, the fan stood at about 5’7” and was about as durable as a football goal post. We were only able to move it by carefully scooting it across our crappy carpet a few inches at a time. The fan does an incredible job of keeping things cool. We can turn it on the lowest setting and the sleeping area is freezing cold in less than ten minutes. It has three settings that progressively get more powerful. We joke around that if we could figure out a way to hook the blade up to a battery and a chair of some sort, we could make a helicopter out of it. Or we could hook it up to a boat and have a fan boat (and although we are joking, if you could actually figure out how to do that, it would probably be possibly with this fan!). The fan is made from steel and is extremely durable. It does make a loud noise when it is on, so that can sometimes be a problem when you are talking to someone. I do wish that the fan oscillated. However, you can turn the head of the fan in different directions and since it has such a large diameter, oscillation really isn’t necessary. Overall, the ILIVING COMMERICAL PEDESTAL FLOOR FAN, 30” is a large and extremely durable industrial-type fan that really keeps things cool. It is loud and does not oscillate, but compared to the durability and functionality of the fan, those are really minor issues. The fan works best in a garage or warehouse setting, but it can be used in homes as long as you know what you are purchasing; don’t me like me and confuse 30” fan diameter for the height of the fan.

Good value, Works well

very simple easy to put together does a great job moving air i really like this fan and recommend it.

Moves some air for sure. Great for bays in the shop.

Work well for what I need

This is one powerful fan! Don't put this in your living room expecting a nice cool breeze, because you're gonna end up with some hurrican force winds instead! This is a commercial grade fan. We use it in our garage. This fan does a great job of keeping it cool and ventilated out there. My husband loves it. We did not have a hard time putting it together, although I see from other reviews that some people did. It definitley is a few steps, but take your time and use some patience and you'll have it up and running in now time. This is a great fan for large rooms, porches or garages or workshops.

Super strong, works great for wharehouse

I own a 15000 sq ft automotive repair shop. I have 8 of these to keep my techs cooler in the Texas summers. Today will be 100 again. We wouldn't be able to work the day through with out these
