My dog skin problem is waaaaaay better after I started adding a few pumps of this oil to her meals. She is a blue / red unique and gorgeous pitbull mix and her coat is almost all back and she is a lot less itchy, so I am very happy about that. Note, bottIe is big and not as easy to pour, I keep refrigerated to keep the oil in better shape. I fill a spray bottle ( with a funnel on top) so I can easily spray on her meals. Glad I found this for my social-butterfly-mermaid-wannabe princess!

Healthy, Beautiful Cats & Dog

Great human-grade oil. My cats and dog get it in their meals and it has made their fur very healthy, soft and glossy. You can see the difference over time--I got 2 rescue cats last year and they both looked more "fuzzy" and definitely less shiny. Makes a big difference. I am sure the anti-inflammatory effects are great for aging joints as well. This is a great price for the size and quality, and the reason I keep buying this particular brand. Definitely recommend!

Worked wonders for my boys hips

My 110lb rottie was having major hip issues and whined almost every time he got up. I started giving him Zesty Paws salmon oil paired with "Vetrinex Labs Advanced Joint Support Formula" and the change in him is amazing. Even in the cold weather he gets up with minimal pain and walks so much easier. I would highly recommend using these two products together. Alone they work but are not as effective.

THIS IS AMAZING!

My Pomeranian-shih Tzu mix was having a lot of skin issues. Could not get her to stop biting herself and causing sores, but it was not just one area like a hot spot it was wherever she could get to. I had taken her to the vet numerous times and was told it was behavioral. Well I had trouble believing this so started doing my research and read about salmon oil helping skin issues. I took her in and had her shaved down and started the salmon oil. Her being a long hair breed it was hard to determine that her skin was SO dry till she was shaved. With in two days of starting the salmon oil I was able to take her cone off and the chewing stopped. This is not a one time fix for dry skin it is something you will have to continue to give on their food which I don't mind, she absolutely loves the taste. Stand behind this product 100%. Also started giving it to my black lab (Just because) and his coat looks amazing! He is also in love with the taste. If you are having skin issues with any breed I recommend trying this. I've personally taken fish oil daily for nearly 5 years on the recommendation from 2 physicians of mine. Neuro & knee surgeon. I've felt the benefits in my body. I have 2 dogs, @ 10 - 11 y/o Pointer and a 14 y/o Jack Russell - both of whom dealing with arthritis. I've used Pure Alaskan for a few months now, squirting it in their food dish. I've noticed them appearing less stiff; quicker to get to their "feet" at the slightest noise, jumping up onto the couch like they're not supposed to, and enjoying our long walks. Prior to using Pure Alaskan, these pups were slow in every sense, they stayed off the furniture, and definitely did not pull on their leashes to get me to hurry on our long walks. They also LOVE the extra flavor and moisture on their food. Win/win.

Wonderful product for dogs with skin and coat issues

I have a 3 year old mutt who has severe allergies. They popped up around 6 months of age. It leaves her itching constantly, hot spots, and rashes that turn into skin infections if not treated. I played around with her diet and found a grain-free diet works best for her. However every spring and fall, her allergies flare. Some sort of environmental allergy. I tried Benadryl and oatmeal baths. They do very little to relieve the constant scratching. My doctor recommended fish oil that's rich omega 3 fatty acids and DHA as a daily supplement. She said I would have to be super diligent in making sure she gets a dose every single day. That's the only way it works. It took about 2 weeks to see results. It was gradual at first but it does make a noticeable difference. As a added bonus, her coat feels like the softest it's ever felt before. We get asked all the time at the dog park about what kind of shampoo we use on our dogs to get their coats that soft. She's been on fish oil for 2 years now and nothing keeps her skin and coat healthier than this supplement. She loves the taste and has no problem licking it clean off the plate. Great product and Amazon by far has the best price I've found. ***Revision 7/11/2016 I have continued to use this brand of Salmon oil with great results. I recent received a shipment from Amazon where the bottle was leaking and the pump was missing. I contacted the seller who promptly resent another bottle at no cost to me. My senior Boxer is doing so much better!

I have an 12 yr old senior boxer, Darla, her skin and coat was on the dull side, she has arthritis, she was a little stiff, and she had a hard time jumping into the car. Darla could be a picky eater sometimes too. Darla is also my couch potato buddy, since I am a disabled senior. I read that giving her pure salmon oil would help her with her issues and that it would improve her immune system as well. I bought this Pure Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil for Dogs, and Darla is doing great! Her fur is soft and shiny, she can move around and jump into the car without hesitating too. She loves the flavor and she eats all her kibble, and I can see that she is perkier! Not too pricey for this senior and I would recommend this fine product.

So Happy for my pups!

So I originally bought this to help my mini Australian shepherd with her shedding. To my surprise it impressed me even more then I expected. You see I have this old pup who is starting to walk stiff and her nose has been having issues for months of being very dry and painful. So I started both my girls on salmon oil everyday and in the last month there fur has changed dramatically, Dixie's nose has healed almost completely, Poppy does not shed like she was before, Dixie walks down the stairs again. If you haven't started your dog on salmon oil you should start today. This gets a five plus star from me! I even started giving it to our cat to! I will most definitely be getting more! ***UPDATE*** So we've been using this for several months now and I am still IN LOVE WITH THIS OIL!!!!!!!!!! My Mini Aussie barely sheds. My Old heeler girl is walking so good and her coat is AMAZING. Not to mention her nose is totally healed now and her pads of her feet are like little baby pads, they are so soft. I have recommended this stuff to at least 10 clients (I am nail tech) and all my friends. It's amazing.

Pitty skin/fur issues....MAGIC!!

My poor pitbull baby was super dry and itchy! He had tons of dandruff and was getting bald spots and sores...he almost looked like he had mange! Oatmeal baths weren't doing the trick either! I took him to the vet and they ruled that out and thought maybe he had a flea allergy. But he didn't have any fleas in sight on him! They said it could flare up with just one bite even so they wanted to put him on steroids to see if it would help. It did! But it also made him pee while he slept and he'd wake up so embarrassed and ashamed because he knows better than to go to the bathroom inside. He couldn't help it though being on those. I finished out the perscription, and his issues came back even worse :(!! So I did a little reading and thought I'd give salmon oil a shot. Let me tell you, I AM SO GLAD I DID!!! His sores went away, his fur came back, and he has little to no dandruff! This stuff has been amazing!! I am on my 3rd bottle of this stuff and it's just been great! The pump that comes with the bottle does leak so I don't like to use that, but the cap that's on it works just fine! I put two squirts on his food in the morning, and two at night and he just eats it right up! I love this stuff!

works great!, give it time

had to wait and see before i posted a review. i got it april 28th. by june 15th my dog stopped shedding. his dog food was grain free and presumably not able to hold on to all that oily goodness. coz his skin freaked out. hes a male American staffordshire bully. 11 months old. bullies with a predominant portion of white fur always have sensitive or dry skin. so i was hoping i could help him from the inside out. the dr. said salmon oil, or chicken fat or butter. all of these are high in vitamin e and omega 3s. so this is what i got. man oh man. Huge difference. he stopped chewing literal holes in his feet. and his fur is staying on his body now instead of on me. the colors have gone back to true instead of washed out and baby fine fly-aways. as you can see, hes a much better looking pup now! the last pic was taken before treatment
