Perfect replacement!!

We bought a reclining sofa from Rooms to Go a few years ago, and the handle broke when my husband tried to recline. We contacted the furniture store, and they were not helpful at all. I thought Amazon has everything else, so I thought they would have one. I was right! They had several to choose from. My husband measured it, and we bought this one. It fit perfectly! It only took my handy husband a few minutes to replace. It's as good as new!

Easy to install

I gave 4 stars for sturdiness, because this is the fourth time I’ve had to replace this part for the same recliner. What I don’t know is if this is a user issue or if this is a manufacturer issue.

I was a bit skeptical about this part, but I was in a rush and had no choice. When it arrived, it looked the same as the broken original. I installed it in the recliner; it fit perfectly and worked just fine. I couldn't be more pleased.

Worked like a charm

When taking the wire out of the old handle or reattaching it to the new handle, recline the seat first. It makes the entire process much easier. I read that these aren't very durable, but I'm planning to be gentle and I'll tell you how long they last.

Thirty second install

Perfect fit, saved a lot of money since the store I bought my couch from wanted $20 each and a stupid amount to come out since my couch is a few months out of warranty. If your wife or kids break this on your couch like mine did, this is what you need and it feels like it is better quality that what came with the couch even though I am almost positive that it is the same.

I thought my sofa was going to the repair shop but that was so Expensive! I found a video on Youtube as to how to fix the broken handle and then searched it on Amazon. I was thrilled to find this handle and I think this was the Easiest repair I've ever done. It is plastic...but should it break in another 5 years... I'm good. The Super low price was so worth not having to have repair peeps in my home! I'm super happy with my purchase!

Wish I had found this years ago.

I wish I knew years ago that you could buy this part, it never crossed my mind to look. This part on my LazyBoy broke in under a year. So I always had to leave the couch open. Replacing this was fairly easy. You disconnect the wire, unscrew 2 screws, and the old assembly comes out. This part wasn't exactly the same as the original. On the original the wire was retained on the bottom of the part, for this one it was retained at the top. My old part didn't have the retaining clip, so I wasn't sure exactly how that was supposed to go. I eventually bent it a little with pliers and used it to hold the wire to the plastic by hooking the legs over the plastic. I don't think it's going anywhere. The mechanism works better than the original, it requires much less pressure to open the couch.

Old handle broke off. I fixed it over and over with JB Weld and Krazy Glue, but it would keep breaking. I really didn't think about the possibility that this part could be purchased. I was so happy to find it. Took about 5 minutes to replace and so far, so good.

Saved Repair Bill

My chair was a warranty period and a month old, meaning if I wanted it fixed, I had to call the repairman or do it myself. Doing my homework, I found it would cost a hundred dollars plus parts to have the repairman come out to my house, so I decided to try and fix it myself. The part arrived in two days, and 10 minutes later the chair was repaired. I'm not particularly handy, but by taking a picture of how the old one was hooked up, I was able to hook this one up very easily.
