I loved this keyboard especially for the price. It practically makes your iPad into a mini laptop. Did I say I love it-lol. I bought a couple of other keyboards and returned them. One was cheaper and you could tell. The other was wayyyy more expensive and you could not tell. One attached magnetically, the other was a folder type. The first felt unsafe the second was too bulky. The Arteck has a couple of clamps the iPad slides into and holds it securely. It pairs up effortlessly and it keeps a charge for what seems like forever. Just because I carry a bunch of junk in by backpac I bought a sleeve to protect the iPad and keyboard from scratches as there is no protection for the two with the keyboard and iPad. I have the gray iPad and bought the silver keyboard and it looks good together. I've had it for about a month and didn't want to review it until I was sure I liked it.

Worth more than every penny they charge for this keyboard! I bought this keyboard to go with my new 2017 iPad back in April. I wasn't sure if I was going to keep it or not. I couldn't believe the price and the 2 year warranty. It fit securely into the cradle and at the same time, if I want to remove it from the cradle and not use the keyboard, it is easy to remove. It has an excellent set of FN features allowing the user to use the virtual keyboard if you want to speak your message. It also has volume controls and other controls for use in the FN functions. The keys are very responsive to the touch. Not mushy at all. They give instant return after applying pressure when selected. It makes touch typing so easy. It also always me to use the Command key to perform typical Apple shortcuts from the keyboard. I was disappointed recently when one of the keys stopped functioning. But I contacted the company through Apple and received a response right away. They sent me a replacement keyboard that arrived within 3 days of my request. The keyboard is awesome and the customer service is the best. I am a technology consultant by trade. This product and this company are at the top of my recommend them list. I am so pleased with both aspects of the company, product and people.

This is a really nice keyboard. I was on the fence about it just because it was such a good price, so I was worried that the quality might not be great. I should not have worried -- Arteck had my back! When my keyboard stopped working unexpectedly a few months after purchased, I reached out to them and their customer service was truly phenomenal. They gave some troubleshooting suggestions, and when these did not work, they sent a brand new keyboard. I wish every company stood by their products as much as Arteck! Will definitely buy again next time I am in the market for this type of product!

Another Update: The new keyboard is great. Much better than the other one and I have no problems with it. Hopefully this one lasts longer. Customer service: A+ Update: Great customer service. After I submitted the original review(below) they contacted me and are sending me the newer updated version of the keyboard. I really appreciate the customer service and fast response. I will update when the new keyboard comes in. Original Review: At first I loved it. I had one for my old iPad mini and wanted another one when I got the new iPad 6th generation. It worked for about two months and now it won’t connect to my iPad anymore. I already forgot the device on my iPad and then reconnected and let the battery die to recharge. Nothing worked. This keyboard worked up until it was too late to return.

A very nice cover with keyboard. Lets your iPad function similarly to a laptop. Update: In an earlier version of this review I wrote that it has Bluetooth issues. Now it does not appear to have any BT issues. There is a minor problem with a confusing design and documentation. The keyboard has a large “Connect” button next to and as large as the OFF/ON switch. But this is ONLY for use when pairing to your iPad. Once it’s paired, if you wake up your iPad and push Connect it disconnects and prevents it from connecting, until you go into the iPad Bluetooth settings and manually connect to the keyboard. So just keep your hands off the Connect button and it will connect properly upon wake. Good: This item only covers the screen side of the iPad when it's closed; that's the keyboard. The other side is the back of the iPad itself, which is pretty tough and doesn't need a cover for many users. The keyboard cover side matches the silver color of the iPad back. This design leads to the combination of iPad and cover being quite thin. The iPad fits into a slot that is attached with a hinge to the keyboard. I like this arrangement. The keyboard itself is pretty good. The keys feel high quality and have appropriate travel, and the key arrangement is close to that of an Apple BT keyboard. Minor: While the keyboard has four rubber feet which seem to be good, when the iPad - keyboard combination is open the hinged portion that holds the iPad extends below the feet such that the back pair of feet do not touch the surface that the iPad is sitting on. When you're using the iPad it's resting on the hinge rather than the feet. As a result it slips somewhat when in use, which is when you most need all four feet to be touching the table surface. I'm not sure whether there is a better design they could have used but this is not optimal. Also: The title of the product description says it has 130 degree swivel. This is simply not true; why would they say that? Clearly it cannot swivel at all because the iPad mounts in a hinge (with one axis) on the keyboard. And the hinge does not open anywhere near 130 degrees; I would estimate it's about 100 degrees or so. It opens just far enough to be practical to use and no further. Both of these are OK with me - I don't want a swivel nor a wider opening - but the description should be honest.

Great for the price. My iPad Air (1st gen) fits snugly on the clips. Everything is aluminum so I do wonder how long the clips will withstand repeated removals. It seems like it would not have been that difficult to give us a little more than 130 degrees of pivot but for most normal positions, this is fine. I'm curious to see how this will work on the airplane (I'm fairly tall) but I imagine I'll need to prop it up in order to get a good viewing angle. **Update - no go on using this to type while in a standard coach seat. If you're 6' or under it might be OK. It is certainly nothing close to a full size keyboard, so if you have larger hands like I do you will have to adjust to a very tight hand position. Really, the only thing that caught me off guard was that the keys require a fairly hard press (and centered on the key) to register. The upside is that this prevents errant strokes but it does open you up to words with missing letters. This is where the iPad's auto correct comes in handy in many situations. The great price of this along with the expanded keyboard shortcuts launched in ios 9 make this a very good deal for those looking for more efficiency from their iPad. For those who may not be aware, you can hold down the command key for a few seconds to see which shortcuts are available for the app you are working in. **Update - I have used this extensively over the past two weeks. Highly recommended. Once you get the keyboard shortcuts down for your chosen app you can type very quickly while note-taking or composing email.

I really like this keyboard as it it very easy to remove the ipad and adjust position. Keyboard is a good size and not difficult to type on. I ordered this about 5 months ago and recently dropped it, breaking a hinge Since the keyboard comes with a 2 year warranty, I emailed the support team about it and they got back to me immediately offering me a free replacement. They assured me that anything else that would happen in 2 years from now would also be covered under the warranty. I was incredibly impressed by the customer service and commitment to supplying good products. HIGHLY recommend getting this keybaord if you are in the market for one.

I ordered this for my new iPad 5th generation as I needed a good bluetooth keyboard for field work. Everything worked great until about 3 days ago when half the keys stopped responding. I tried all the usual things, charging overnight, re-pairing with my iPad, pair with another device etc and all resulted in the same issues. I contacted Arteck via Amazon and within 30 minutes I had a response, and within an hour a replacement was on its way to me at no charge. I have no doubt that this was a fluke issue, and my replacement will continue to give me a lot of use. I highly recommend this product strictly for the fact that the maker stands behind their product and did not even request a return of the defective item.

[EDIT #2] When Artek saw I was disappointed in the durability of the keyboard case (see below), they offered to send me a new model FREE (HB235). This one seems sturdier and it is a full case rather than simply a hinge groove to fit your iPad in. They earned my five-star rating! [EDIT #1] Had to modify my review. Originally gave 5 stars for the reasons listed below, but it crapped out after a couple of years. Perhaps to be expected concerning the price, but I hoped for more value. Decided to invest in a more expensive Incipio Clamcase this time. [ORIGINAL REVIEW] The previous positive reviews did not exaggerate. This works perfectly. Easy to slide iPad in and out; keyboard automatically connects flawlessly after you hit a key and wait a second for it to wake up. A charge lasts forever. I would prefer a full size keyboard but this is a hundred times better for me than typing on an iPad screen. Adjustable angles work fine. Works as a cover to protect the screen. Has a bit of a cheap plastic appearance, but so far mine is holding up fine.

I originally submitted a two star review based on a keyboard I received that had keys requiring extra effort to make them work. Arteck reached out to me and offered a replacement which arrived a few days ago. The replacement works fine. For those of you experiencing the key repeat issues that I’ve seen in several reviews apart from mine, I was able to make that go away by going into my Bluetooth settings and hitting ‘Forget this Device’ then re-pairing with the keyboard. So far I haven’t had the annoying key repeat/period and capital letter issue since doing that.
