I LOVE my utopia Kitchen Pre Seasoned Cast Iron Dutch! Don't know how i lived without one for so many years. I only wished i had gotten at least a 7Qt so you have a little more room for soups and stews. If you don't have one make sure you get you one.

THESE COME PRE-SEASONED, VERY NON STICK SURFACE ,CLEANS UP NICE WITH JUST WATER

This is a great cast iron dutch oven, for a great price, lighter than most dutch ovens and it still holds heat really well, I recommend this product to anyone, who likes cooking real good food, remember this if taken care of will last generations..

I ordered this to bake bread in, it does the job well. It's easy to clean and being "preseasoned" is nice. I have no complaints about this dutch oven, but I have not used mine for making stew or meat, so can't really speak to that aspect. If you are looking for a dutch oven to bake bread and seal in the steam, this one works well.

I bought it for making bread in the oven and it's perfect for that. Good product and good price.

Hurricane Irma hit the whole state pretty badly but luckily I was prepared with this pan! Thank you two day shipping!! My husband cooked alfredo noodles and shrimp skewers all on the grill. Who has shrimp alfredo when they have no power? We do! No soup for you! This pan is amazing

looks promising ... as advertised. I did not trust manufacturers seasoning thus I washed hard and seasoned myself. I do not allege a defect just that I did it myself out of assurance. Has been well made and held up a week Mali daily bread.

This Utopia Dutch oven is great. It is every bit the equal of Lodge cast iron product that I have bought and used over the years. I did find that I had to rotate the lid to one particular position to get the tightest possible seal, but in knowing that, I'm also given a feature in which I can permit a small amount of moisture to leave what I am cooking, so all good. I particularly like the the inverted dome profile inside the lid created by the handle recess and the little 1/4" nubbins all over the inside of the lid, both of which will recycle moisture and "baste" a roast. The square cut rump roast I cooked as a first meal in it went over big with the kids. I did decide to season the iron myself after a first washing and before a first use. I used coconut oil, which is more dense and a better high temperature cooking oil than some of those suggested in the product literature. I would definitely buy this again in a different size or as a gift. $24.99 on Prime was a great value as well.

Have used this 5 or 6 times already just to try it out. Perfect size, great price and it is pre-seasoned as advertised. Nothing sticks, really easy to clean with a plastic scrapper or chain mail. We only use wooden or silicone utensils and so far absolutely no soap.

This 5-quart cast iron Dutch oven is exactly what I needed. It is big enough to cook an entire meal in for my entire family. This time of year I generally keep my wood stove burning 24-7. Just put this oven on top and I can slow cook stew or chili all day long. When its done I just add a heat diffuser underneath it. and it will keep my food warm without scorching or over-cooking it. One really nice feature is the little spikes on the underside of the lid that returns evaporated liquid back into the pot. I noticed how nice that was right away when I lifted the lid. Normally I lift the lid and as I turn it sideways all the water runs down and splatters over the stove top. It didn't happen with this lid. At most just a drop or two. Of course the best feature was the price. While searching I found many Dutch ovens of the same size for sometimes double or more what I paid for this one. I knew I was taking a chance but breathed a sigh of relief when I received this one. I can't imagine any of the more expensive Dutch ovens being any sturdier than this and I expect this one to last longer than I do. With any luck that's at least another fifty years.
