Nice fireplace key for 1/4 inch valves; solid design and inexpensive

This is a solid fireplace key that looks great and is inexpensive. Note that it fits the 1/4 inch size valves; some fireplace feeds use the slightly larger 5/16 inch size (and if you are unsure, you might want to buy the universal model that fits both). If you are looking for a nice basic fireplace key for the 1/4 inch valve, look no further, highly recommended!

As Expected

As expected. Works great. It's a gas key for your fireplace, not much to say. It has good weight and doesn't feel cheap. Will buy again when this one goes missing too. LOL

Our fireplace is wood burning with gas lighters which we could put special gas logs into but I like the smell of a wood burning

We bought a house this year and the previous owner used it as a rental property which she put zero effort into. So while we have a really lovely bag of keys labeled "I don't know what any of these go to," she said we could just buy a new gas key. The second it dipped under 70 degrees for more than 5 seconds, I wanted to build a fire. Our fireplace is wood burning with gas lighters which we could put special gas logs into but I like the smell of a wood burning fire after years of gas apartment fireplaces. I had no idea what I was doing when I ordered this and by luck, it fits and it works perfectly! It's metal so it's not a flimsy plastic key that will eventually break.

Simple replacement that works

We bought this replacement key because the fireplace in the home we bought a couple years ago had a gas fireplace but the key to operate the gas was too large and there was way too much play when turning on or off the gas. This key fit perfectly and feels much safer to use than the original. I can now easily tell when the gas is fully turned off. The price was perfect for what we got.

Great replacement key!

We lost the original key for our fireplace and this one fit the bill - it's a perfect replacement and looks nice to boot! No complaints, would recommend!
