Breville is Quality and Worth the $$
I can't say enough good things about this mixer! If I had to pick a favorite feature I think it would be how quiet it is. Additionally, I love: it has a light to illuminate your mixing bowl, all the attachments store conveniently with it, it has a swivel cord, stands up easily, releases the attachments with the pull of a button, and has multiple speed settings with pause and burst options. I also really love the "count up" feature that tells me how long I've been mixing something. The amount of baking I do has increased significantly due to the purchase of this mixer, I love it so much, I am always looking for new recipes to use it with!

I thought the need for a timer was excessive but it's wonderful to be able to easily time the mixing
I agree with all the positive reviews listed here. I was skeptical of the need for a light but can't imagine a mixer without it now. I thought the need for a timer was excessive but it's wonderful to be able to easily time the mixing. The convenience of the bundling of of the beaters while not unique to this size mixer, does operate smoother than others I have owned. Make no mistake, this is not inexpensive. I thought long and hard about the purchase but I have not regretted it for one minute. Great buy!

Great hand mixer with plenty of torque for more difficult ...
Great hand mixer with plenty of torque for more difficult batches. Love the timer right there on the handle, no more looking at the time after I start and trying to guesstimate when I started mixing.

Better than a kitchenaid by far and will last longer
this thing has it all, it has a light which I thought, who cares but it turns out I do, its one of my favorite things now.. how did I get along without it? it has a pause function where you go right back to the speed you were on, one of the biggest things that bothered me on the kitchenaid hand mixers is they shut off and you would have to go through all the speeds again! to get where you were at, it has a timer that tells you how long you have been mixing and substantial dough hooks that really cut the mustard lol.. its worth the money and it feels like it will last forever.. its the best well made hand mixer I have found. I love the two whisks as well, usually you only get one and let me tell you two make a difference.. alot faster. I don't have a bad thing to say about this mixer. I paid $99 plus for a 9 speed kitchenaid that wasn't anywhere near as well made as this, and lasted half as long.. I don't think you will be sorry.. Breville makes really good products I think, after having this, I will look more into their other things. I think its worth it.

Best hand mixer ever!
My husband gave this to me for Christmas. I have to admit when he gave it to me I thought it was over kill because I have always worn out hand mixers after a couple of years so spending this much seemed foolish. Now that I have used is I am completely in love. This thing is amazing! I love the controls and being able to program it to do what I want and I love the light. I could go on and on about how much I love the light. If you love to cook as I do, do not hesitate to buy this, you will not regret it.

Worth every penny! Love it!
After reading all the reviews for several hand mixers I settled on this one and love it! It is easy to use. I love that it starts mixing very slow and builds slowly as you roll the speed control which is easy to do! I actually love the extra light which I really didn’t think much of as a feature. It’s very quiet and powerful. The rubber lined beaters are awesome for mixing cake like batter but doesn’t do well with thinner ingredients like heavy cream, it splattered it all over when increasing speed. The whipping attachments worked great for the heavy cream and I was able to make the whip cream in half the time of my old hand mixer which was actually a really great mixer that I have had for over 10 years. I use my hand mixer a lot and I am fully impressed!

LOVE Breville products!
My old hand mixer finally bit the dust so I needed to replace it. When our wall ovens not longer functioned, we replaced it with a Breville countertop model until we were able to get new wall ovens installed. We were so happy with Breville's countertop oven that we have gradually replaced other kitchen items with those made by Breville. The Breville hand mixer does an outstanding job even when mixing my recipe for chocolate chip pecan cookie dough (the dough is particularly thick because I like to put in even more pecans than chocolate chips!) I especially like the light that shines on the inside of the bowl so that I can clearly see what I am doing. I hand wash the beaters with the rubber tips instead of putting them in the dishwasher because I want them to last as long as possible. These beaters work extremely well when I go up the sides of the bowl to get everything mixed together.

Double whisks!
I really love this mixer already. I made meringue in a shorter times using the double whisks, versus the many minutes I spent using my old mixer. It is easy to operate, just move the wheel forward to increase the speed. I love the pause button too, so that I can add more sugar to my egg whites and then just press the pause button again to start at the speed I was at. I was afraid the mixer would be heavy but I didn't notice it being heavy and I'm 61 with some arm weakness. I was also worried about the beaters with the rubber on them. They looked cumbersome to use so I was at first reluctant to purchase this mixer because of that but seeing them in person, I can see that they won't interfere with mixing at all, as they fit like a glove and they glide easily along the surface of the bowl just like any other beater. I researched the 3 main companies and Breville has the highest wattage off all the mixers, versus Cuisinart and Kitchen Aid. I just returned the newest 9-speed Kitchen Aid mixer because the buttons were hard to push and I was ecstatic when I saw that Breville had a thumb wheel that was simple and easy to use. This mixer is really beautiful and looks better than the website image. I was impressed upon opening the box. The beaters and attachments are nice also, and you can tell they are well made. I'm very happy with it so far.

Very Powerful Hand Mixer
Most probably the best hand mixer out there in both design and features. Even though it has a plastic housing it is a little heavier than most hand mixers, but this gives it a very solid built feeling to it. The beaters are very thick and strongly built, so are the dough hooks. The wire whisks are nice too. The controls are intuitive and easy to use. I took it out of the box and had no problem operating it without reading instructions. Unless you use the pause feature it always starts on the very low setting to avoid splashes. And low is truly low. The count up timer is nice. The pause feature is also nice. When using the pause feature and you start it back up it remembers the speed you were using and goes back to that speed as well as the counter resumes. The LED light is a nice feature and I like the fact that it only turns on when running the mixer and during pause. When you turn the mixer off the light goes out. With some appliances the light comes on when plugged in and stays on until you unplug it. The rotary push up speed dial works perfectly. You press it down to get the boost feature. Now to the boost feature: This is the only feature that could have been designed better. Pushing boost advances the mixer to the highest speed while pressing down on the dial no matter what speed you are using. For example if you are on low speed one, boost will advance it to speed nine. A better design would have been to just boost it one or two speeds ahead. If you are mixing dry ingredients on speed one and need a little more power, move it to speed two, not boost or you will get a big surprise. In my opinion boost is not even needed. Just dial it up. I have compared this mixer with two top brands that start with K and with C. This mixer is superior to both of them in both design, features and quality. I have used both of the other brands. If this mixer holds up it will be by far the best. Unfortunately to get all of these wonderful features a lot of electronics are used in mixers these days in all of the top of the line brands. If the electronics hold up in this mixer I hope to be using it for many years to come. It is not as simple as a mechanical on/off switch and speed dial anymore. The mixer is also pretty quiet for a mixer with this power. It has no sharp or high pitched whining sound. For power the mixer out there that is similar to this one is the C brand but not nearly as many helpful features. This mixer is expensive but if your need is for a powerful feature laden hand mixer and also an executive look, this is the one. Everything including the cord will pack away in the storage bin that the mixer attached to. This unit has a very heavy duty cord that swivels to the left and right of the mixer and locks in place. Even the plug is top of the line. It has a hole in the center for easy grasping. Make you think you are in Europe. I can recommend this mixer for all except for maybe an elderly individual with arthritis in their hands that may have trouble with the added weight. While not what I would call heavy it is definitely heavier than your average hand mixer.

Serious baker or novice...you shouldn't be without it!
Amazing! Powerful, smooth, continuous dialing for speeds. TWO whisks...use a lot...also dough hooks...saves the wrists! Beaters have coating. A real treat to have! Wedding gift? they'll love you forever! I told my son he should get one for his family! Personally, unless you make a lot of bread, I think this is better than a stand mixer! ...longest review I've ever written!
