My cat is a recent rescue, so I had no idea how she would react to a spray bottle. She doesn't mind being sprayed at all; the sprayer is quite quiet. She always loves to be brushed, and this spray is really helpful in making it easy to get loose hairs and dander out of her coat and onto the brush. She's sollid black, so I can already easily see that after only three days using this spray and brushing, there is much less dander and flakes on her coat. Her coat is very shiny, and the smell of the spray is very light and pleasant.

I decided on this product over all of the other dander reducing products because I’ve always been a fan of Burt’s Bees for myself, and if I trusted the brand for me, I’d trust it on the king of our household. Was actually surprised how much my cat LOVES this spray. I was certain he would run and hide as it’s in a spray bottle. Instead when I grab the bottle and his brush he runs up to me and follows me with ALMOST the same excitement as when I tap a can of wet food. He now loves being brushed, and his dandruff has significantly improved within only a few uses. Sometimes I forget to use this product for a week or so and his dry skin comes back, but improves almost immediately. I wish I thought to take before and after pictures. Instead, here’s just a picture of my handsome fella!

I have been using this on my two older, long haired cats, and it has really improved the condition of their coats. It also has removed the dryness and all of the white flakes. I am very pleased. Update: For some bizarre reason I decided to adopt four older cats, all of them with long hair. Keeping them mat free has been a challenge, and I have managed to find tools that have kept them mat free. I have found this spray to REALLY help, along with some cats wipes. It is well worth a try.

I have several cats--one is 13 years old--a black female--and she had a bit of a dander problem on her back. So--I bought this product. She liked it--did not complain too much as I sprayed it on and then gave her a comb-out. Well--it made a huge difference--her fur is soft and luxurious--and the dander is almost all gone and combs right out. I am very impressed with this simple, mild product that does just what it says. I think it is very good for a cat's skin. I highly recommend it.

I recently purchased this spray after purchasing the wipes which I wasn't that happy with. I really do like the spray bottle and I am using it on the wipes that I previously bought that seem to dry out very quickly once out of their package. I really cannot smell this product and it does brush into all four of my cats coats quite easily. Although all of my cats love their daily brushing, they're not too happy when, in the past, I have tried to introduce something like dry shampoo or conditioners to their coats. This pump bottle seems to work quite nicely. You just have to get the hang of it to not get too close to your cat's coat because then it will just make wet spots. If you spray from 4 or 5 inches away, you will achieve a nice, light, even mist that is easily brushed into their coat. One of my cats is black and white and is overweight. Because of his weight, it is often difficult for him to groom himself as well as he should and because of the black fur, I could really see all the dandruff my brushing was producing. It has taken a couple of weeks but I am beginning to really notice a drastic change in his skin and coats condition. The dandruff is almost non-existent and the black in his coat literally shines. One of my other cats has, for some reason, always had a problem with static electricity pokes. It wasn't an uncommon thing for her to walk around with her hair literally sparking off the linoleum floor. Since I have been using the spray, I have not seen that phenomenon. It may be coincidence or it may not. I really think this Burt's Bees dandruff spray has changed the way her coat reacts to the static electricity in the air. Just being able to pet her without a wet wash cloth in my hand is well worth the purchase price of this product.

I bought this product to reduce dander, but the first thing I have noticed is that it is a miracle detangler! I have a medium/long hair cat who gets mats in her fur and thus does not like to be brushed because of all the snarls... vicious cycle ensues. This stuff untangles her fur and even makes getting the mats out relatively painless. This makes brushing much easier (since she's not running away) and much more effective. Win. Other reviewers are right... the spray bottle was dumb. Fortunately, with only a tupperware container and minimal problem-solving, the spray bottle becomes a non-issue. When my cat ran away from the sound of the spray, I just dumped the solution into a tupperware and dipped the brush in it before I used it. Problem solved!

I am shocked by how well this stuff works! We have an overweight cat that has trouble grooming her back. She was so full of dandruff and greasy fur, I hated petting her, which made me very sad. We took her to the vet, and he thought it was allergies. We tried prednisone for a while, and it was clear she was less itchy, but the dandruff remained. The vet suggested different food. We already feed very high quality food, but she's been eating the same stuff for a long time, so we switched to a different flavor (different ingredients) in the same line, and there was no change. Our poor girl looked miserable. We decided to try a bath, but at 13 years old knew she wouldn't enjoy it. While looking for a shampoo for her, I came across this product and decided to try it before torturing her with a bath. After the first application there was a huge difference! After the second application, her dandruff is GONE. I'm dumbfounded. I dunno how, but it works wonders! She doesn't enjoy the sound of the spray, so it took two of us to get it on her, but by the second time she is getting more used to it and being a little more cooperative. We spray her down and then brush her. She is so soft and shiny! She finally looks healthy, and feels good to pet. I'm very thankful for this product. I don't have to be sad about my kitty anymore!

It worked wonders. My cat is 15 years old and has a hard time cleaning herself. I spray it on her every other day and brush her and she looks like a new kitty now.

My cat has been suffering from extremely dry coat and since he's a tuxedo cat it shows even more. I've always used the wipes or the oat shampoo but had never seen a great result until I purchased the spray and it worked like magic. It makes my cat's coat so shiny, clean and also very fluffy. Once I spray this on him, I will comb him a bit and then just let it dry.

This stuff actually works great. I have two black cats that I adopted when I was fostering animals for the humane society. (I got the same color kittens because 1. black kittens don't get adopted as often and 2. because I figured I could tell people I just had one cat but it was really really fast). Anyway, they get EXTREMELY dandery and you can see it because they're black. I tried bathing them with dander shampoo once a month...that made it worse. I tried putting a bit of coconut oil or olive oil on them...that made it worse and made them look oily. But this stuff is great. I bought the wipes with it and spray this on my hand, rub it through their fur onto their skin, then rub them with the wipes to get the already shed dander off...then I brush them. I do it outside on the deck and in the winter I'll do it in the basement because its a bit messy. But it works great...they look better immediately and I'm noticing that they're just not getting as much dander over time because their skin is more moisturized. If you're getting either the spray or the wipes...get the spray because you could just spray it onto a cloth or towel to remove previous shed dander. But I do like the pre-moistened wipes also...so if you don't mind spending the money, I'd get both personally. And last thing, there's a good amount of spray...I estimate the container might last me at least a year with two cats.
