These towels are AMAZING.
I absolutely LOVE these towels! I'm actually on the page to order some more. Super absorbent, will do everything from dry dishes to get dog pee out of the carpet (senior chihuahua who oopses occasionally) to cleaning windows, drying hands, drying kids. They wash up really well, and are totally bleachable, I've bleached ours multiple times. Wash before first use, they'll soften up and get absorbent! I did have to trim a couple loose threads after the first washing, but none since and the hems are just fine. Oh, and these suckers are HUGE.

great multiuse towels!!
I was surprised at the nice quality of these towels. They are HUGE when completely unfolded. I usually double them up when drying dishes with them, use them in a single layer to line bread baskets or to wrap warm loaves for transport, and layer them even more to set dishes on. I haven't tried them yet as cheesecloth, but the strong fibers (no fuzz in my food) and medium density weave makes me think they would be champs for that as well. Mine did shrink lengthwise as you can see in the photo, but they are so big, I don't care about a few inches of shrinkage.

Nice to use as cloth diaper
I switched my cloth diaper system to flats, because they are easy to wash. As a working mom with a new born and preschooler, I don't have time to mess around with the washing routine with all other types of diaper, so I am switched. I got these towels to use with my diaper cover or as an insert in my pockets. After the initial washing and drying, these towels did not shrink much. They are soft and absorbent. And once I do a pad fold, they fit nicely in the diaper cover. I change my son about every 3 hours, these flats are trim and no leaks. These towels are very good quality. I can see a life after potty train my son with them. They could be use for various cleaning jobs at home. Update, My boy just turned 10 month. These towels are still going strong, and seems new. We wash them every day to every other day. They have gone through a lot. It is very hard to do diaper laundry with front load and water softener soft water. I never strip these diaper, but I boiled them once when the baby was around 8 month, just to make sure it is clean. We have no issues with these diapers, no stain, no stink, no holes. And the diaper is so absorbent, one sheet can last 3 to 4 hours. And as for poops, once the baby is on solid, most time poops just falls off, very easy to clean. We never have any leaks, I pair these dish cloth with ragababe 2 steps.

Good product for crafts
I purchased to make some custom towels for my kitchen. Fabric is thin (truly flour sack towel) but heat transfer vinyls worked great.

I'm ordering 2 more sets!
I cut flour-sacking into quarters or sixths & edge-stitch the raw edges to make reusable, bleachably-washable alternatives for a lot of tasks that otherwise need paper towels. This year I'm making these for friends as Christmas presents; the Utopia Kitchen towels are great quality with thoughtful, quaint packaging which makes for a very nice presentation for gifts! These are outstanding quality modern 'flour-sacking' towels, far nicer than any I've purchased in stores & a better price too! The edges are well-hemmed (¼" double-fold) & the towels showed minimal shrinkage after washing in HOT water, still measuring 28"x28". Bonus: they arrived with a nicely made, attractive & useful button-closure strap (same material) to hold them in a tidy bunch when folded, the whole lot packaged in a reusable heavy plastic package. (The buttoned strap would actually make a quirky 'housework headband' for women or teens with smaller heads.) Obviously these aren't 1930's-type flour-sacking (you have to buy cotton fabric off the bolt to get that weave) but they're better than anything else I've come across in the 21st century. Well done!

Great towels!
I was hesitant to write a review for these towels until I'd tried them for a while. I've bought several other flour sack towels on Amazon, and each is constructed differently. The fabric for each towel that I'm comparing is different for embellishment (I sew ribbon on the edges), the absorbency and drying rate is different and the washing durability also is a factor. After using these towels for the better part of a month, I've got to say that I'm pretty impressed (note that we have a lot of activity in our kitchen that does not involve our dishwasher). I didn't initially think that when I got them, because they looked awfully thin and flimsy, but -- wow -- I was so wrong. First off, if you're going to sew anything whatsoever on these towels (ribbon on the edges, embroidery) - do yourself a favor and iron these towels first. You will not be sorry. A simple steam iron press will make your life SO much easier. These suckers are awfully wrinkly straight out of the package and a tad difficult to put any straight seam on in that condition. While it can be done, life is so much simpler if you've got a flat surface to work with. Second, give them a full shot in your kitchen. You'll be surprised at their potential and durability. I was shocked and elated as we used these towels over and over, and they dried quickly over and over for another use. My husband is particularly fond of these because they're so pliable and absorbent when he dries out his beer glasses. You know - those tall glasses that have bottoms that last forever and these things NEVER go in the dishwasher? Oh my! These towels are the perfect answer to dry out the very bottom of that tall TALL glass in the blink of an eye. I would not hesitate to order these again. SO impressed. Not only did they look stunning after I added my personal touches, but they are also extremely functional and much better performing than other flour sack towels that I've purchased.

We cloth diaper and learned from Fluff Love & CD Science facebook (Fluff Love University website) group to just use flour sack towels as inserts. Never have compression leaks like you do with microfiber diaper inserts. These are super soft and larger than the towels I got from Target.

Perfect kitchen flour sack towels for machine embroidery
I purchased these kitchen flour sack towels to embroider on with my home embroidery machine. They worked perfectly! They are a decent weight and held up beautifully after embroidering. Thinner, lesser quality flour sacks would have distorted. They feel very similar to cloth prefold diapers, just without the soaker section in the middle. This set is for me, but they came out so well that I am going to make extras to give as gifts. They are perfect to have on hand for picking up spills, wiping down counters, drying dishes, wiping up dirty babies after they have eaten, and more. I was just using cloth diapers as kitchen towels, but now my kitchen has a little more class (just a little…hahaha). I will be purchasing these again and again to create gifts out of. Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this review. I received a discount on purchasing this set of kitchen flour sack towels for my honest, unbiased review. The opinions shared are completely my own based on my experience using, and embroidering on, the towels.
