Nice Set of Simple Knives

So...as always i clicked on the "1 star" ratings.... and I saw countless things that said stuff like "will rust" or "handle breaks off" .... DUDE this is a 25$ set of knives... USE THEM FOR WHAT THEY ARE FOR.... cut your couple of vegetables and some chicken breast, WASH IT.... .DRY IT... and PUT IT BACK.... it wont rust and will dull at the same speed as any other knife.....you get what you pay for.... and you paid for a simple set of kitchen knives to do the occasional every day culinary task, of course its gonna break if you're pretending you're Gordan Ramsay. You are ordering a set of knives off of Amazon for 25$ for 5 knives and a stand. That is less than $5.00 a knife, so treat them that way and they will last.

Good Bang for your Budget Buck

I bought these as a small gift for my sister; as it turns out she needed a set of kitchen knives so it was a great gift for her. She's only had them a short while but she loves them, especially the one piece design, the out of the box sharpness of them (she says no more "sawing" tomatoes with her old knives), and the modern stand that takes up very little counter space. I purchased them when they were on a lightning deal and feel like they were a very good buy for less than a Jackson, delivered in 2 days with my Prime. Obviously they're not top of the line, but are of better quality than I would have expected to find in this very low price range. My 5 star rating is for overall value and how tickled my sister is to have them.

So Far, Very Impressed

I only had two requirements when looking for a knife set for our new home. 1) It had to be affordable. (Have you SEEN the prices on some of these sets?!? Come on, I'm not Alton Brown, here.) 2) I wanted solid knives. (Meaning, I didn't want knives that had a metal balde and then a separate plastic, wooden, or even metal handle.) This set fit those requirements perfectly. The set was shipped quickly and everything was packaged very securely. (See photos.) The acrylic knife block was shrink wrapped to prevent any scratches and then wrapped in bubble wrap to cushion it during shipping. I was concerned that the knife block was enclosed, thus being a possible breeding ground for moisture loving mold/bacteria, but it's not. The two exterior walls are completely open and my fears are gone. The knives were packed tightly in a separate box. Each knife was in a plastic wrapping and had a card stock sheath to protect the blade. I was surprised to see that the tip of each knife was additionally protected by a hard plastic casing. (It may look like wax in the photos... That's what I thought it was at first.) Huh. Not bad for under $40!! The set overall looks beautiful. I love how sleek the set is. I think it looks much more expensive than what I paid for it, and I'm cool with that.😎 The cooking knives have a nice weight to the handle. I'm sure this will come in handy when I'm chopping slimy onions or trimming down cuts of meat. The steak knives are much lighter, which makes sense to me. I hate those bulky steak knives that you're given at some restaurants. (It's like they make them huge so that you can't sneak one into your purse or something.) I'll update this review once I've got some use out of these knives, but so far I'm very impressed. If my review and/or photos were helpful, please click so below. These are sharp and I am happy the steel runs the entire length of blade

The picture does not do these knives justice. They have become the centerpiece of my kitchen. Very unique and modern. However, the main selling point is not the looks. Knives do you no purpose if they are not functional. These are sharp and I am happy the steel runs the entire length of blade. There is no separation where grease, food particles, water can be get into. Be aware these are NOT recommended for the dishwasher. Personally, I would never throw these beauties in the washer.

Excellent Value for the Money

About a year and a half ago, I found myself divorced and without any kitchen knives. Not wanting to spend a lot of money, I picked up this set. No I am by no means a chef, but as a single guy with 50% custody of my kids, I use these knives pretty frequently. They came plenty sharp and they are still sharp a year and half later. I have never sharpened them. I also do not put these knives in the dishwasher. I had wash them and twoel dry them after use and then put back in the stand. They still look brand new. For my use, these knives are great and were more than worth the money. Maybe someone who is a chef or someone who is very serious about cooking would want something more high end, but for me, these have been perfect.

Great Cheap Knife set

For a cheap knife set (assuming you paid the way reduced sales price and not the inflated regular price) they work well. The stand is stable and does not tip easily. The knives sharpen well with a sharpening steel, and since it is a metal one piece design are very stable in the hand, which is a really big difference between normal cheap knives and the expensive options. The only negative i could say is that I have fairly large hands and the chef knife is a bit small to hold comfortably in my regular style with the thumb and pointer finger gripping the blade.

Great Quality Knives

I love that they are molded from a single piece of stainless steel, so the handles will never come off or break. There are five knives, and they offer a good choice of sizes and shapes. I really needed some decent knives, but I didn't want to spend a fortune on them. These fit the bill. They also come with a lucite stand with a sturdy base so all the knives are ready and waiting when you need them without a wooden block that seems a bit unsanitary to me. The stand is easy to clean too. So far, I'm very happy with my knives.

I was ready to waste $25 on cheap knives...

I was seconds from buying another set of knives however they had plastic handles and would of fallen apart in a year or 2. BUT THAN I saw the video ad of the lady with these knives and thankfully I bought these planning to send them back if they were crappy... simply out of spite because I would of been let down.. I'm very happy, they don't come SUPER SHARP however they come more than sharp enough and you can easily sharpen these solid metal knives. I am going to buy sets for family!

Great knives. Got them certified refurbished from Amazon

Great knives. Got them certified refurbished from Amazon. They had never been used and for waaaay less than the most price. Supposedly has blemishes but didn't see any nor do I care. Be sure to read the care instructions carefully or else you knifes will rust and dull out. I have a knife sharpener in case, but I use these lots and care for them as per instructions and have only had to sharpen once in over 4 months.

I am in love with my knife set

I was not asked to provide feedback and am NOT being compensated for my feedback. I am in love with my knife set. They are just as described and arrive very sharp. I'm impressed with the quality. I haven't used the dishwasher in fear of ruining them so I've only hand washed and immediately dry. Definitely worth the money. (Although the case seems a little flimsy, I do however love the design)
