My husbands key fob stopped working to open the door so he was having to open his side manually. He suspected it was because the case to his current fob was cracked. After reading the details and specs, and verifying it was for his car make/model/year we decided for $20, it was worth it to take a chance and order these 2 cases. Luckily, it wasn't complicated to where we had to get it reprogrammed with a locksmith or dealership. It really was as simple as the case was cracked and interfering with the buttons working. Snapped the new case onto the old insides from the broken case and it worked as good as new!

I ordered the remotes to replace my malfunctioning remotes. These would have to be programed by a dealer or locksmith, or properly equipped repair shop. I ordered these in hopes of just being able to swap out the button pads and not having to go through the programing process and cost. Hallelujah!!!, put the old transmitters in the new cases with the new button pads and they work like new! Well worth the cost, I am extremely pleased with the end result. Saved the new transmitters in the old remote cases, just in case the original transmitters ever fail. Gave one star on "Easy to install" rating because the new remotes require third party programming.

These work perfectly for my G6 it's a 2009 both my remotes or worn out so I got these to replace them they work flawlessly cost me thirty bucks to have car dealership program them the cost of them was simply awesome so the $30 I spent to have them programmed was less than what I would have paid if I would have bought a remote from a store when I checked they were $95 just for the remote and not the programming well worth your money

My 2008 Malibu needed these to be programmed by the Dealer, but they worked and saved me a ton! Caution: Go to the website on the package (not YouTube) to see their instructions for your key fob. After trying the recommendations on YouTube, I went to their website and it said, "you have to go to the dealer for your key fob". Darn! So, for $80, I got new key fobs programmed.

I purchased these for my 2010 malibu. You need a factory level scan tool to program the remotes for my particular vehicle so I took them to my local locksmith who also had the capability (locksmith was half the price as local dealerships and no waiting). Took about 5 minutes to program them and they have been working perfectly. Very satisfied with the quality of these remotes as well... seem to be as good or better than the factory original remotes.

Great! Worked for my 2009 Chevy Malibu. I just had to take them to get programmed

Bought A Used Pontiac Grand Prix Came With 2 Key Fobs But Where The Battery Goes The Bracket That Was Soldered To The Circuit Board Was Broken On Both So I Ordered These Went To The Dealership Got Them Programmed They Both Work Great !!!

I have a 2012 Chevy Malibu LT and needed an extra fob as I only had one. Purchasing two fobs was a way better deal that just buying one. After receiving the fobs I tried several attempts at programming them but no luck. I was bummed to find out that this year of Malibu has to be programmed by a locksmith or dealer. I found a local locksmith who charged only $30.00 to program all three of the fobs I have. You have to know when you go get your remotes programmed which takes less than five minutes they have to delete all remotes linked to the vehicle. They simply plug in a computer to the OBD2 link under the dash (by your knees/no tools or removal of parts necessary) They delete all the fobs linked to your vehicle. They then enter how many fobs you have then by simply pushing lock and unlock together on each remote they program them as simple as that. Don't pay for each remote as they know they have to delete even the remotes you brought in and adding a remote is as easy as pushing a button. Please vote helpful if this review helped you.

Worked for my 2012 Malibu 2LT. It appears you must have software/hardware to program for the late model Malibus like mine, possibly 2010-2012, not sure about the year. Someone posted a 2008 being programmed without a special tool. My problem was the OEM key fobs were becoming less and less responsive. Eventually the Lock button stopped working. It turns out the problem is the conductive surface of the UNDERSIDE of the buttons. SOLUTION: I bought this pair of key fobs, opened them, REMOVE the green chip with battery, REPLACED it with the OEM green chip with Battery and closed the clam shell. Essentially I swapped the green chip into the new case/rubber buttons. No programming required and it works flawlessly. Only difference I've noticed is the button depress a little deeper than OEM. No complaints here for a sub-$20 fix. #LifeHacksRule

I bought these at a very reasonable cost (especially for 2 and especially since my dealership wanted 100+ bucks for one). I took them to the dealership and had them programmed very easily and quickly and they are working great, so far. I am soo happy I decided to buy them through here and save myself a ton of money!! One suggestion to consumers, call around to different dealerships and locksmiths on cost of programming. My dealership was 20 bucks cheaper than a mom and pop locksmith. Also, make sure the cost is to program both remotes (which it should include both).
