After I bought one, I had to have another!

This lantern charges quickly and offers a beam light, that has a high and low feature. The high setting easily illuminated out to 175 yards. The lantern also has a side lamp that offers a high and low, giving a bright glow, that would be useful in a power outage or camping. There is a red flashing light feature for roadside emergencies and charging is done via a USB port, and bonus, you can also charge your device (phone, etc.) from the lantern battery! Surprisingly lightweight, and sturdy.

So far so good! It has so many options packed into one handheld flashlight! I usually find flashlights this size very heavy due to needing the giant batteries, but that is not the case here. Only critique I have is that it does not have a compartment to store the usb cord in. I used a velcro strap to tie it to the handle to solve that problem. It is a color proven to be most easily seen especially in dusty or smokey air. (That's why many firetrucks and rescue vehicles are this color.) I can never find my black or blue flashlights in emergencies but this light fixes that problem. My mom bought one for almost every one in the family this Christmas because she was so impressed with it.

great spotlight

very efficient, light weight, extremely powerful bright light. Recharges easily with included USB plug. ambient room light on one side, red flashing emergency light on the other. When charged can also act as power source to power cell phones in emergency. comes with carrying handle. I use it on boat at night to light up the channel markers. Very impressed

Very Nice

I live in the PNW and light becomes an issue in the winter. So as I'm out working on my acreage I want a light that has several functions, and a long batter life. I've been using this for about 2 months daily (about 30 min a day) and the battery still says it's fully charged. WOW! The functions are nice and I primarily use the side light to just light up an area I'm working in or out with the dog in. Very Nice!

6 stars! Designed for a second pair of batteries

This lantern was designed for two pairs of batteries. If you live somewhere that power goes out for days, not hours, you can get 30+ hours on the low-power floodlight, or recharge your cellphone four times. The easiest way is to buy two lanterns and then the extra battery fits right in. The circuitboard has two pairs of connectors for batteries. You'll have to solder two wires. You could also buy a second pair of batteries but these cost around $33 so you might as well buy a second lantern and throw away everything except the battery.

Amazed by how bright it is

I just received my LE rechargeable LED camping lantern and took it outside to see how bright it was. The high setting on the spotlight is amazing as far as I'm concerned. I compared it to a much heavier spot light I have and found this to be much bright. Even the lower setting seems as bright as my other spotlight or maybe even brighter. It's beam shot down the street a long ways and when used closer up, it has a bright circle outside the spotlight focused area, that illuminates a large area. I was also surprised at how light weight it is. This combination makes for a very nice spotlight. I can't speak to how well it will hold up, or how long the batteries will last, but my initial impression is that this light was worth the money. We plan to use it in our new RV, especially useful to light up a campsite area to see what is around. Also the side light and the emergency red flashing light are very bright too.

Works flawlessly out of box. Very versatile as has lantern light for area lighting and red blinking for emergency or roadside use. The spotlight is focused and not spread out so good to use in foggy or rain and the color of the beam is very good white not like lots of Surefire lights that have yellow or green and cost 20 times as much. Has 2 different levels for main beam but wish it had very low. It uses 2 18650 so should be able to replace, also recharges with usb cable. I wish it had provision to store the cable in the unit as you know how these things can get lost. But easy replacement as just double sided usb. I would say pretty close to 1000 lumens from what I can tell. The light is very light also so can take it back packing or can carry for long time without getting tired. No lantern for this price comes near the reliability and function of this.

Well maybe not 100lbs but felt like it! Well the other light is on the ...

Bought this for a dear neighbor who had an emergency light with a halogen bulb and a 100lb rechargeable Ni-Cd battery. Well maybe not 100lbs but felt like it! Well the other light is on the internet and has 0-star reviews because the old dim halogen burns out from poor design, they simply drop way too much current across the bulb and it burns out like an old flash bulb & then not even replaceable! This light is A) feather light, no kidding! B) CREE LED is super bright- brighter than most auto headlamps!, C) good simple strobe or red light options, and D) our neighbor was delighted to have a new dependable light after the other was properly disposed at household waste collection facility.

Best Spotlight - Recommend over Fat Max

Purchased this after returning the Stanley Fat Max I bought from Walmart 2 days prior that is falsely advertised as 2200 Lumens = 920 Lumens. Nonetheless, the Fat Max was nice, but it would not fully charge (even overnight). I am extremely happy with the LE, it came fully charged and ready to go. Super bright in comparison to the Fat Max. The side lantern is also a lot brighter than I expected on the higher setting. Flashing red LEDs are very cool as well. One thing that I did notice in the instructions was that the high and low setting indicated appear to be backwards in the illustration. It indicates that the Low is one dash mark (-), and the High is the double dash mark (=). I believe this is backwards, at least for mine, (-) is High , (=) is Low. Either a misprint or my switch is not installed correctly, more than likely a misprint. No matter the reason, this light is super awesome and I highly recommend. I almost forgot to mention the 4 blue indicator lights on the back that monitor the battery charge, very cool and useful. Great purchase.

Lightweight, BRIGHT, and Functional!

Bought this on an Amazon flash sale for $27.71 after having looked at it for a few weeks but wasn't sure about the original price of $35.99. Upon unboxing my first thought was how light it was. Let me tell you, this light is BRIGHT. I love all the features that it has. Came out of the box fully charged. On a recent trip back home for Easter weekend I threw the light into the backseat just in case I needed it. Turns out that I passed a stray dog on the side of the highway and used the red blinking safety light to safely walk the shoulder of the highway toward the dog. I can see myself getting a lot of use out of this during the summer camping months and for future pupper rescues! For the price I paid, I can definitely recommend.
