I just love this thing. Makes daily cleaning a breeze. Vacuum cleans up more bulky items/large crumbs etc., while the swiffer cloth grabs any dust and pet hair on the floor. Charges last a long time, can easily clean the whole first floor of the house (approx 1,800 sq ft) with one charge. The only thing that would make this better is a less cluttered method of plugging it in. This is not sufficient a detriment to deduct a star.

Great Product!

This will be my 6th Swiffer Vac purchase in approx 10 years. 3 of those are still in frequent use in our large oak floor home. I love this item. The earlier versions lasted at least 1-2 years and then the battery developed a memory and quit working. These Vacs were replaced by coupon by the company. With the new type of battery, the last one I purchased has lasted exactly 3 years and is still going. I like to have several available to use because I have children who love to help and this vac is light weight and easy for them to use to clean up the kitchen dining area. I love the fact that the dust cloth picks up little things and dust. Keep records of your purchase if you have trouble, because the manufacturer does respect the warranty and will respond to your call about this product. I have tried several other brands that are similar and this one does the best overall job for my needs.

Awesome vacuum, and good battery life.

Update: Its exactly one year later and my unit is going strong. Either they improved the battery life or my unplugging after charging has improved its life. Either way I went from 4 to 5 stars because it’s still going strong. Love these and get a new one every year. It's perfect for my all vinyl flooring and tile house. I have no carpet because of pets and this works great for picking up dirt and pet hair every few days. My only gripe is that I have to buy a new one every year because the battery life has never lasted more than a year or two. By the end of the year where I could do the whole house when new I'm down to only being able to do a few rooms for five minutes. I wish you could buy replacement batteries, but I don't see a way to do that. I haven't spent a lot of time on it either other than just seeing if anyone offers replacement batteries. I really love the design and concept, but hate the battery life otherwise five stars!

Works great for cleaning hard surfaces around pets.

Wow, I love this! Product of the Year! Makes cleaning my hardwood floors super easy. I use it to clean cat hair and kitty litter around the box. It just takes a second to clean and is so much easier than using a cord and plugging in the vacuum each time I clean. You should get this.

Great product!

I've had the older version for about 12 years and I loved it but it was showing its age and losing the ability to hold a charge for more than a few minutes. This new one is awesome! It has an indicator light that is bright enough to let you know when it's fully charged! It works like a charm I just hope the battery will last as long as my old one did.

Love this. Great on hard floors

Love this. Great on hard floors. Not an enormous amount of suction, but enough for most jobs. Tip: If it seems like it's not picking up as well, remove the filter, dump it and blow it out with a can of air or something and replace it, and it will work like a charm again. Of course you need to replace the pad on the bottom from time to time as well, but be sure to try the filter cleaning if you notice it's not picking up as well. I'm so glad I got this.

Perfect for pet owners

So we have a 6 month old German Shepherd puppy. She sheds a ton of fur, and tracks in a lot of dirt. The endless sweeping was killing my back. Dragging the vacuum around wasn't the answer either. Decided to give this a try. It's light as a feather and gets the job done in an astonishingly short amount of time. I couldn't be more pleased.

Best Purchase I Ever Made

I've had this little vacuum for about three weeks now and I use it just about every day. I have hardwood and tile floors throughout my home and five indoor cats. Sometimes I use it twice a day to pick up cat hair "tumbleweed". I also have those cardboard scratchers and it picks up the debris from those, which seems to end up every where. It does not pick up cat litter which was only slightly disappointing. The dry cloth picks up extra cat hair and any other dirt that might be on the floor. You can use any dry cloth so I just buy the cheap ones. I'm very happy with the Swiffer Sweep and Vac. It keeps me from having to pull out the heavy vacuum which makes it so much easier on my back. I would recommend this little gem to anybody and will definitely purchase again.

Great product, light, easy to use, and gets into and under everything.

Great little Swiffer sweep and vac. I have two other competitor vac type products, that are going to the garage sale. I was skeptical at first, but after using it today - wow - I'm amazed at how light it is, how powerful (but still quiet), and maneuverable. I love that the vac portion is low profile enough to get under the range, fridge, and other items. I have two dogs that constantly bring in crud from outside through their doggie doors. I'm constantly sweeping to keep up with them. This will be my new daily go to item. No more sweeping with the broom, or having to drag out the heavier vacs. This is the perfect item, I've been wanting, and also uses the swifter pickup pads - Yeah.. I'm in love. One word of caution.. It's not a complain... Just a heads up for others. When using the product - the on/off button is on the handle toward the lower end. It's very easy (without realizing it) to slide your had over the button and with minimal pressure you turn of the unit. When it happened to me, I thought that the unit was defective because it was turning on and off... I then, realized that it was me and not the product. Once you know this, it's not an issue. Frankly, the manufacturer should make the button a bit less touchy... but, it's not a major inconvenience. Additionally, don't over charge, or leave the product plugged in for ever... The manufacturers instructions states the same thing. Mine, charged up completely in less than two hours. The light turned green when it was complete. Use it until the light turns red and then re-charge. Unplug once green, and you are ready to go again. I used mine for my laundry room, dinning, kitchen, and bathrooms, and it's still going. I think it will be several days charge usage, but that part I don't know yet. I know someone that has this very same Swiffer/vac and they have used it constantly by charing only when needed and unplugging right afterwards. If you follow this advise it will go and go - if not, it will ruin your battery. I've included a couple of pictures showing the swifter pad after my initial use. ( I had already cleaned my floors prior to using the swifter) to my surprise, I was amazed at how much dirt it picked up on the pad and in the vac chamber. I also show a picture of how I store mine after use. I also change out the swifter wipes before storing it away, that way it's ready for next day & I re-charge if needed. This sweep & vac will be a great daily use product for my Doggie Slave duties - ha ha... I'm so happy - I hated sweeping, and then picking up the crud - it's all done in one pass - Yeah.

I've used the sweep and vac floor vacum for many years, but this time I couldn't find it anywhere but online. I think the price is way too high. But Im glad I got it, it really makes my cleaning a lot easier since it pick ups hair and small particles that the broom won't.
