Let me just cut to the chase
Bigger than I thought and has a nice weight to it. The handle is also sized well and seems sturdy. It came sharp so look out.

Good buy
I am very satisfied this purchase. The knife is very well made with nice quality. I believe it worth every penny. However, it came with a not very appealing package, you can judge a book by it cover, LOL.

Hahahaaaaaaa
The packaging looked like someone just plucked this off the wall of a fleamarket (and probably did)! It's hard to take a product seriously when it's presentation is so bad but honestly, the knife is great. Suprisingly sharp and heavy. I also appreciated the non-slip grip handle. Totally worth it. You'll get a laugh out of the package and you'll get a very serviceable kitchen tool.

nice and heavy
thank you, great size and heavy weighted. Butternut squash no problem. I am not a hunter but I am sure this would work well, nothing like a heavy knife clean and sharp, thank you again

Excellent cleaver and a very good value.
This is a very nice knife and at a great price. It is well-designed for medium home kitchen use and is well-made of good materials. I weighed it at 17 ounces net--a good heft for the home kitchen. It was quite sharp as it came, but I did touch it up a bit with a few light passes of a ceramic honing rod. I couldn't find the hardness of the steel listed anywhere, but from the type of stainless steel and how it sharpened, I"m guessing that the hardness is about 56 or 57 on the Rockwell scale which is in the right range for a knife of this type. I fashioned a nice cover/scabbard from light cardboard (a used USPS mailing box) and blue masking tape. Works great.

coconut opener!
I got this specifically to open young coconuts and it's serving the purpose well. I was using a regular butcher knife before, but it didn't feel safe when you need to tap the top. This one you can get the weight of the knife into the shell in a safer way. I like it! I will have to try it for other purposes at some point.

Excellent value, heavy duty
Sharp and heavy, makes cutting meat easy. The weight of the cleaver does the work for you. Equally efficient chopping veggies. Now that I am used to this cleaver I rarely use another knife, it is very versatile.

No More Knives for Me
I've been watching Martin Yan use one of these for years and I finally decided I'd give it a try. The heft and weight make it perfect for almost all chopping and slicing. I hardly use my chef's knife at all anymore.

Excellent and Strong Knife
Have been using this for over an year and its going on good. Cuts the meat ( Chicken, Goat and Salmon ) very easily. Easy to clean and store. The knife is heavy , sharp and durable.

Stainless steel
This is a very good looking cleaver. I bought it looking for a lightweight "chinese" cleaver and this has a substantial weight. I rarely use a cleaver except for butterflying fowl, but I'm sure this will work well. It has a great finish and a very comfortable handle.
