Worked great! People said this job sucked, but just as long as you listen for the slight 'click', you know it has done it's job and you can pull the filter off! On another topic, expect the gasoline to spray out everywhere when you undo the first fitting..... (I didn't release any of the fuel line pressure, but it wasn't the end of the world)

This tool made fuel filter replacement on a 2005 Ford F150 extended cab, amd a 2006 Ford F150 supercab, both with 4.6 V8s a breeze. Be sure to research your own fuel-line diameter, as the 06 filter had thicker stems with larger openings. Great tool for quick replacement!

Makes changing the fuel filter a breeze. Don't forget to bleed the pressure on the fuel line and wear safety glasses. Gasoline to the eyes is some pretty serious pain...

All too often, a tool's reputed effectiveness far out weighs it's actual usefulness. This is definitely not the case with this tool. It not only performed flawlessly, the amount of effort required to cause the fuel fitting to let go of the line was virtually nothing. A pleasure to use, in other words. Would I recommend this tool and, by extension, others from this Vendor? I absolutely would without any reservations.

The tool worked great for replacing my fuel filter on my Ford Excursion. The trick is to put the tool on the filter while pulling the fitting away from the filer making sure the tool is as far in the fitting as possible. You then push fitting in towards filter and tool to release fingers in fitting. Don't let tool move on fuel filter while pushing fitting.

tool looks and seems to be made strong enough to do the job but I didn't do enough research because my 94 ranger has a clip on both sides of the filter that hold the tubing in not the little clips inside the quick connect fitting on other models so I now have another specialty tool in my tools for future use if ever needed. But the tool is better than making one out of a piece of plastic pipe or ink pen like the guy on you tube, for the price and you can get it in 2 days on amazon! so not a total loss. HAVE A NICE DAY! MIKE!

Important to relieve fuel pressure in the fuel line by removing the fuel pump relay or fuel pump fuse and then turn on car until it stops. The tool is easy to use. I used it to disconnect the quick fuel line from a fuel filter for a Ford Explorer 2002. I read several reviews on how to best to use this tool on a Ford quick connect plug. I used the 3/8 end of the tool and pushed into the plug. The trick is to have enough force to push the internal clip open so you can slide the fuel filter out. I put a flat head screw driver between the tool and the fuel filter for leverage and pushed, as well as pushing the cable towards the tool. So you are pushing the cable towards the filter/tool. It takes a little strength but the plug will release from the filter. Tool is used to push an internal clip inside the plug so that it can slide off the small lip on the fuel filter.

I used this to replace the fuel filter on my 2006 Ford F-150, which had 3/8" fuel lines. I got the filter off without too much trouble. I'm sure it would be a much bigger pain without this tool. It was still a little bit of a pain with it, but you just have to kind of jam it in there and wiggle/twist the filter around and it'll come out.

Not much to this very simple tool to use. Makes getting fuel lines disconnected in a matter of seconds. Worked flawlessly on suburbans. I would recommend this to anyone that is a do it yourselfer.

Used this to replace the fuel pump on a 2000 Lincoln Town car. Worked great, disconnected the fuel lines in just a few seconds without much hassle. I tried the little plastic ring type ones before this and they were a terrible failure. I probably spent 20 minutes with those trying to get one line off with no success. Picked this tool up and that same line popped off in about 10 seconds.
