Great value; great service

When I got my new laptop, I realized the HDMI cable I had would no longer work as it had different connectors. I ordered this cable, received it exactly when it was indicated. Tried it out over the weekend and it worked like a charm. I am very pleased with the product, the price and the service.

Connect Surface Pro or MacBook Pro to monitor without extra doodads

This is about as simple as it gets: Plug the little end into your mini-DisplayPort jack (such as in a Microsoft Surface Pro) and plug the big end into your HDMI jack (such as any random monitor)--or, in my case, into an HDMI-to-DVI adapter connected to a random monitor. Works exactly as expected. EDIT: More than two years later, this cable/adapter is going strong. Whenever I need to connect either a Surface Pro or an Apple MacBook Pro to a second monitor, this is the cable I grab.

Cable - Direct connect between Mini Display and HDMI - Elegant solution - No need for adapter

I needed to connect an HDMI cord to my TV from my Microsoft Surface Book. I was going to buy a Mini Display adapter to convert to HDMI. I tried the one I used with my MacBook Air and it worked. I thought I'd look for a cable that had Mini Display on one end and HDMI on the other, bypassing the need for an adapter. This Rankie cable worked perfectly. Simple, direct, elegant. A little snug fit to the Mini Display port, but it's very secure.

Extremely high quality cables for the price. What a great product and company.

These cables worked great and I had zero problems. I give it 5 stars for quality even the little plastic pieces had protective stuff to prevent it from being scratched... Come on dude who does that? It's the perfection in detail and also caring enough to cover the shiny pieces with plastic protective coating that sets products like this apart from the others. If you need mini displayport to hdmi connection cables go for it. I ended up keeping these in my closet because my new iMac has the smaller USB-C connectors but hey I can still say these worked super good and were extremely high quality for the money.

It Really Works!

I purchased one of these for my Microsoft Surface Pro, but lost it to my Apple laptop daughter who is in college and doesn't have cable. She loved the fact that she can now watch Netflix on a TV screen with her friends and not have to crowd around and squint at her 15" laptop screen. Because I travel and speak at professional conferences, I've purchased another. You can't always rely on the AV staff at the venues, and these cables will connect my laptop to their system faster than you can say, "Is this thing on?" We're very satisfied!

It's Like Magic!

I was skeptical about this product, but after doing research I decided to go with the Rankie Mini Dp to HDMI cord and it works fantastic with my 2015 Mac Book Air!! I read reviews about problems with the sound after connecting your laptop to a TV, but I didn't encounter problems and i connected it to a couple TV's. There are no adapters needed/required. I am very pleased with this product!! This is a must buy if you don't have a HDMI port on your computer or laptop

This cable was used to replace a cheaper cable bought at Best Buy due to display issues. Whereas the cheaper cable didn't seat properly in the mini-display ports of our docking station and could move around, this cable fits nicely and securely. The cheaper cable caused distortions such as certain colors showing as blue in pixelated blotches. This cable resolved that issue and we haven't had any problems since installing this one. The cable itself isn't flimsy like the cheaper one and feels a lot more sturdy. Despite the signal being digital and previous research leading me to believe the cable doesn't technically matter, getting a better cable this time has paid off. Not really sure if the gold plating helps at all with the signal but I will say a sturdier build and better ends to the cable are what really make the difference, probably as well better manufacturing. I feel like this cable will last a long time in the process of being moved around constantly for travel. I certainly wouldn't pay too much for a cable but this one was priced modestly for what it is, especially in comparison to what I paid for the other cable.

Good Cable

Looks like this cable will do the job - I would have liked a 3 ft cable - this 6 ft cable will work - The regular size display port connector has a locking device to keep the cable securely connected to the device - This is my first experience with display port interface devices - using this to connect a NUC to a 21:9 ultra wide LG monitor - It works great - thanks

Finally. One that just works right.

I've been using this one for about 2 months now, and it works great. I have a drawer of crappy display port adapters(including a few Apple ones) and they all wash out the color. This brings the picture through nice and clear, no color loss, no flickering, no annoying dropouts. Had a little bit of an issue getting a clean connection when I first got it, but I think that was just some film on the connectors since just un/plugging it a few times on both ends cleared that up.

Perfect product

I ordered this adapter cable last week. The shipping was on-time with good packaging. The cable works perfectly and the price is very competitive. I checked the 4K compatibility and it responses well on that aspect too. I have overall satisfaction of my purchase and I just ordered another one a few minutes ago.
