Inland has consistently been GOOD printing filament for me
Inland has consistently been GOOD printing filament for me. Both PLA and PETG. Bad prints are usually due to poor slicing or temp setup. Use KISS slicer for the super quick and eazy Temp Tuning Wizard to get dialed in (youtube if you need help). I wasted money on 'name brand' filaments and they didn't not print any better than this. Is it Taulam engineering filament quality- no, but if that is what you are looking for, then go pay for the real deal. This stuff is great for bits and bobs, kids knick-knacks and engineering proof prints. Glues well with superglues. Color- its RED! Like hockey red, think Blackhawks red or Red Wings red. On my printer, Wanhao i3, M$ all metal hotend, Thorped cooler, glass bed w/Aquanet, 227 extruder temp and 45 degree bed temp for this red filament. YMMMV.

Prints easy and bright white color.
Great filament, prints very easy for me on a Creality cr10s with stock nozzle. The color is solid bright white and a medium shine. It does however have completely different characteristics than the dark colors I normally print. Thus, I still need do dial my machine in more for perfect prints. But this is looking good. I have attached some images, the prints arent perfect but are suitable for my needs, none of the issues I faced while printing these models were the fault of the filament. The dragon skull was the first print with this filament straight out of the box. No adjustments made from the previous filament which was Hatchbox black. I will say that this filament once printed feels nice in your hand, I mean its just PLA but it is almost a matte or satin feel instead of the high gloss filaments. It has alot to do with print temp as well. Lower temp will give a less shiny finish but also be weaker. a higher temp will give more shine and be stronger. Normally I print at about 210 -215 and this worked best at around 210 for me. I am pleased and would buy this again. I think I originally paid $15 for a 1kg roll. Pros: 1. Lays down good at 210 temp 2. Diameter was consistent 3. Color is accurate 4. Sticks to bed at 60 degrees with hairsrpay or painters tape. 5. Has a nice finish 6. Incredibly affordable. I recieved a spool with different specs
The spool I received in July, 2018 is marked 190c to 220c. If I print it at 195 it's got a matte royal blue color, almost velvety. I like it a lot. If I print it at 210, it comes out glossy. It's probably not good that the specs have apparently changed, since a person might buy it expecting it to behave a certain way, then have to go through a lot of filament getting it dialed in to the new specs. I'll be sad if i repurchase it and don't get the velvety blue any more.

Good filament, expect mediocre glow
Going into this, I know that all of these "glow in the dark" things use phosphorescence which means it captures available light and then slowly re-releases it (put in simple terms). It is also known for not being bright, or when it is bright, it fades quickly to a dull faint glow. What I have found is that outside in direct sunlight for 5 minutes, then straight into a darker room, it will glow brightly for at least a few minutes and then the next hour or two slowly fade to a dull glow, but it does still glow. I have printed around a dozen things of various sizes including stars and Slimer with this on my Prusa clone with cheap bowden e3d clone head. I found I needed temps around 203-205 (the sweet spot for mine). When going through initial temperature testing, I found good extrusion in the 200-210C range, any cooler it would not melt/bond fully, not extrude properly, and would cause skips with the extruder motor, any more and it was stringy/oozing and too soft to keep the printed shape causing various artifacts. I have the Slimer print next to my bed (printed at 0.1 height and 0.5 width with 0.4 nozzle), and is charged over an hour or two before bed by the lamp with 40W (equiv.) bulb, and many times it still has at least a very faint but noticeable glow after 2 hours. The amount of infill can also affect this, with little to no infill, it is only the outer plastic, which discharges fairly quickly leading to dimming quickly, versus 20-25% infill means the internals absorbs some of the light too leading to longer glow times. this is because it is at least partially translucent/semi-transparent allowing light to pass through the outer layers to the internal layers, and allows the glow compound to essentially feed off itself for longer glow times. My next plan is to print some deep diving fishing lures (that dive beyond 8ft in murky water where there is little to no light) for testing.

Love this new Inland PLA
After reading the reviews about this new manufacturer for Inland, I was worried about my recent order. However...it prints like a dream. Sticker on the side of spool gave a 215°-235°C range. Temp tower gave 220°C best results for me. Prints stuck to the bed nicely, gave a super shiny bottom, prints hold together well, and the pieces are nicely detailed with good, crisp edges. It DOES occasionally cause a bit of a clog in the nozzle, apparently from the rougher texture on the filament?, which is cleared easily enough. only happened 2x over the entire 2.2Kg spool.

Great glow, but make sure you have a stainless steel nozzle. I started off using a brass nozzle and that quickly started to have extruding issues with other PLA‘s… Probably due to be wearing a fact… So I upgraded to a stainless steel nozzle and it has worked fantastically and my other PLAs also still work great… As an aside, when I went to a stainless steel nozzle I upgraded to a 0.8 mm nozzle which makes for considerably faster prints… Just make sure to change your slicer settings accordingly. I found that a 0.4 mm layer is best when using a 0.8 mm nozzle… But 0.6 mm layers are good for quick rough prints… Especially when speed is paramount.

PLA that lays down right.
I wanted to try a non primary color. I am very new to 3d printing and silver seemed to intrigue me. So I got recommended Inland so I picked this. Add to cart Amazon prime 2 days later here we are How well did it print on the first try? It was great. This PLA runs hotter than my first roll of white. That ran at 190-195. I leveled the bed and it stuck to the glass with no glue or hairspray with a bed temp of 60 deg c. I guess I am just supprised how well it laid down. Oh yea also I am using a 0.4 tip printing at .2 resolution (for the majority) As for the color it looks kinda like silver. More like a crayons crayon silver rather than sterling. About 2 out of 5 people have called it grey. There is a shimmer to it. The one thing I did notice is that if you print it with a brim let it cool down cold before you try to rip it off. If it's still an it warm it doesn't peel off clean. Same with supports. Overall : This was a good buy for the price and the quality. I will buy this again and I will try other colors.

Came for the price, Stayed for the Quality
I got into 3d printing right when Inland seemed to be swapping suppliers or updating spools or.. I dunno. A LOT of mixed reviews and views online regarding them.. one was consistent - it's priced right. I fired a shot and bought this and black, the 2 spools were different like people said online. BUT I didn't have any issues. Maybe just dumb luck but I'm happy with this red. If I printed it at 215-220 it gave me a real smooth glossy finish. I later learned that was too hot, and I print it between 200-205. I've accepted that 3d printing is WAY more about the joy of tinkering than it is about just producing great prints. I enjoy the tweaking. Be it of settings or add ons, modifications to my machines. 3d Printing is the modern mans Watch repair hobby. I'm hooked.

Get your settings right... THEN its 5 stars
With any filament, you have to get the settings of your 3D printer right. This works best for me at 205C print head, 65C for initial layer then 50C print bed. (glass bed, hair spray as an adhesion aid) Ensure you are using the "magic number" setting for your printer. Ender 3 (using Cura slicer) wants layer height to be a multiple of .04, .08 or larger. .12 will print faster and better quality than .10. I am printing lithophanes and "minis" for tabletop RPG. Settings will vary with what you are doing. My results with this filament, printing from Thingiverse free files are generally better than the photos posted by the designer. Its all in the settings of the printer. Ordering my 5th roll of this color. I have used 3 rolls of silver and only partial rolls of other colors in this brand. Best temperature varies with color!
