These are great if you have a VGA monitor you don't want to give up yet. I built a new computer and, of course, the new graphics cards have no VGA support. I had a beautiful primary monitor and a decent second monitor that I still wanted to use. This does the job perfectly and on the cheap. I noticed zero picture degradation between this and plugging it into a computer with native VGA support. Installation was Plug and Play, even for displaying the BIOS.

I am using a HP Elitebook with a docking station. The docking station only has a Display port and a VGA port. I was able to use 1 monitor with the Vga port and wanted to also use the Display port. That is where this adaptor comes in. It is perfect and I am now at my desk using 2 monitors and my laptop display for a total of 3 monitors. The adaptor is flexible enough to be next a wall needing only a quarter inch of depth (mostly because of the display port end). Would highly recommend.

I have a Lenovo X1 Carbon with the OneLink Pro dock trying to display to 2 monitors. I tried several different DP cables, several different DP adapters, and this one finally worked. I don't know what the problem is with sending out video via display port from my system but this made it work. Many frustrating months solved by a $6.00 adapter. Such is life I guess.

The only problem I met was that after I connected the monitor to my desktop tower using this adapter, there appeared to be some flashing horizontal black thick lines on the screen. Later I found this was due to the EM influence from the PSU. A simple solution is to use your aluminum foil in the kitchen to cover the whole adapter and the problem is easily solved. Except this, everything seems to be quite good so far.

This DisplayPort adapter works as described and expected. I used it to display the 2nd monitor from a PC with a DP port and this product works as expected without any difficulty. No drive needed to make it work. The picture on the 2nd monitor using this DP is clear. I will recommend it to anyone trying to display 2nd monitor with a PC that has DP port. Great product.

The adapter worked great without any adjustments. We connected it between the monitor and the pc and that's all we had to do. Originally, we'd connected it between a smart tv and the pc and it didn't worked immediately. I didn't try to make any adjustments. We switched the smart tv out with the computer monitor (I didn't want it unpack at the time) and it came up no problems. Hope this helps someone make a decision.

Works great. Using it to put a very old VGA monitor on my computer. I have an old wacom that requires a DPI port and an HDMI monitor, so I needed this to connect a second/third monitor (I don't use the wacom as a monitor). Colors come out very crisp despite the age of the monitor. Works just fine for my needs. Crazy easy set up, plug n' play. I bought an amazon basics VGA cable to pair this with, btw.

It all started when I came across a nice little monitor in my local thrift store. I hadn't given much thought to the idea that having two monitors hooked up at my work station would be nice, but here I was in the thrift store and they had a relatively new monitor sitting there with a $3.50 price tag on it. I figured for $3.50 and tax I'm joining the 2 monitor club! I got to my office with my cheap monitor in tow and to my surprise I found that I needed this little DP to VGA adapter to hook things up. I pulled up amazon and here it is. Inexpensive and perfectly suited to the task. I'm less than eleven dollars invested and enjoying the dual monitor life. No problems with the product so far.

Works great so far. I have a KVM, so my PC outputs to DP, and I convert it to VGA using this; which then connects to KVM and that connects to a HD monitor via VGA. I have the second monitor (same monitor, ASUS 27") hooked directly from DVI to DVI; and the image quality is exactly the same. I can't testify quality of performance with demanding tasks because I don't game or play video on my work computer but for my purposes works great!

I bought the first batch of these about a year ago and they have been working well ever since. So, I had no problem deciding to order 12 more recently. I expect these will be as reliable as the first ones. I buy these for the school where I work. Our last two batches of PCs have DisplayPort and HDMI outputs and we needed these adapters to allow the use of our existing VGA displays. These were half the price of similar adapters fro our regular vendors.
