Great mic, worth the extra money.

I have purchased many remote speaker/mic combos in my quest to find something that will work well AND sound good. This item and the Wouxun SMO-001 are the only 2 out of 10 mics tested worth using. The outbound audio speaker audio qualities of the mic is the best of all I have tested. The mic audio quality of the Wouxun is better than this speaker, but it's hardly fair dinging this item since the two are both head and shoulders above the rest. This item is worth the extra money. This item feels sturdy and the swiveling clip is outstanding.

Awesome. I have a pair of Honeywell electronic ear muffs that I ran this with for airsoft. With a two way headphone jack running from the speaker-mic to the earmuffs you can hear the ambient noise until someone talks perfectly. The clip holds pretty well and I was able to weave everything into my chest rig so that it didn't get caught on anything. Can't complain.

Ordered this speaker/mic to be used with a Baofeng radio, but was overwhelmed by all the different models and versions, so ordered these anyway and they work awesome with my Kenwood UBZ radios. Might have to do some more research into the matching radios and use these with my Kenwood radios for awhile. Excellent quality, though.

The only Mic to use with the BioFeng radio

BaoFeng QHM22 Platinum Series IP54 Rainproof Shoulder Speaker Mic for BaoFeng: This is the only speaker Mic you want to buy for the BaoFeng radios. I purchased the cheap Baofeng BF-S112 Two Way Radio Speakers and found them lacking audio quality. The reviews said to drill out the mic holes and it would fix the problem. NO it made it worse. I then bought 6 of these QHM22 Platinum mics and solved the problem. I use them in testing a system the size of a football field next to other trades using Motorola's and the quality is equal and even better because of the range of the BaoFeng radio's, I don't need a repeater which in a room with multiple radios, the echos sounds like everyone is in a cave, Then I use my radio and everyone looks at me and wishes they had this one.

Beautiful communications quality audio

This speaker mic provides beautiful crisp, strong, communications audio on both TX and RX with my MD-390 DMR radio. I am impressed. I was a little apprehensive about this speaker mic because of a very bad experience I had with a different brand SM. Previously, I bought a $9.00 speaker mic directly from Radioddity and found that it had terribly distorted transmit audio due to RF ingress. Radioddity gave me a run-around when I wanted to return it for a refund. For $9.00 pursuing a refund wasn't worth my time and effort. That mic is now in the trash.

Vast improvement over the original speaker mic i have. I run a pair of radios and needed a hand mic for the other radio. Both are clear and easy to understand but the weather proof is a an advantage in the northwest! Will be upgrading the other radio!

Great Mic

I love this mic. Being able to attach my HT radio to by bag and still still use the radio is great. In fact I ordered another to use with my 2nd radio. This mic is a lot better than the first one I purchased. I suggest that you skip the cheap mic and purchase this one instead.

Loud, clear receive Audio, Good audio reports on Tx. I'm buying a second one...

I use my QHM22 mic nearly every day with my BF-F8HP. I get excellent audio reports from other Hams in my area. I haven't used the earphone jack on the mic yet, but the speaker has more than enough volume when wearing the mic outdoors or while in the car for mobile comms. The coiled cord hasn't stretched or lost its elasticity, and the belt clip spring is still strong, but the belt clip's mount to the back of the mic has become a little wobbly. I'd take off half-a star for that if I could, but that is the only fault I have found so far.
