I recently had to put this case to the ultimate test, where I dropped my iPhone off the edge of a pier at the lake. At the point of drop, it was roughly ten feet deep, and due to my fear of deep murky water and needing to steel myself for pretty much the ultimate test of m phone's worth, it took me approximately 15-20 minutes to get down to it and bring it back up. At the time of dropping, it was being charged on a portable, and that got pulled out. So the bottom port has been opened, however, when it hit the water it was enough for it to close the bottom flap just enough, that when I did finally bring it back up, and handed it up to the person on the pier, it was on and worked fine with only a few harmless drops of water getting in. There was virtually no damage, aside from my dignity, and the bright green case made it so I could see it from the surface and recover it. I'm pretty sure I will never buy another case type, because it paid for itself.

Always have bought these cases for mine and my husbandsphones. They work amazing. I am clumsy and drop my phone way too much. My husband is a hunter and has accidentally dropped his phone out of a tree. With that being said our phones still look and "act" brand new.Best case out there! They are thinner than the otter box which is also a huge plus! Highly recommended.

I can't say enough for LIFE PROOF cases! They are truly tough as nails! I have always used them on my fire department issued iPhones! Cold, -45* in Wyoming wind is truly a proving ground! Heat, I have my phones in my bunker coat pocket at working structure fires with temperatures above 1,200* and the phone still worked, plus I've taken pictures inside training burns over 700* (probably hotter ;] ) and it didn't melt! I have dropped the phone several times, including off a 6 story training tower and the PHONE DIDN'T BREAK!!! I accidently slammed the phone between the hood and fender of my command vehicle, it bent the fender and the hood (it's a Chevy), and NO DAMAGE TO THE PHONE!! These things are worth the money!! These cases are LEGIT FIREFIGHTER PROOF!! P.S. I don't usually break things..... Oh wait, I'm a Firefighter-

Great phone case for an iPhone SE. I initially received an obviously used case that appeared to have been purchased with a 365 day warranty, and used for 364 days before being returned. Complete with fingerprints inside the screen cover and hair stuck in the sticker on the back of the case. Disgusting. Amazon quickly sent out a new case and it was perfect. It fits together so tightly that I’m not sure I’ll be able to get it off. Love that it covers the entire phone and isn’t open over the home button like some OtterBox cases are.

I updated the previous LifeProof case for my SE phone, when it wore out. I used my case in a harsh work environment and it held up very well. It survived paint splatter and heavy dust, as well as some extreme temps. I was very pleased with the case. It can be cleaned with an electronics screen cloth, and the waterproof feature with gasket is a plus. It does take very careful cleaning before installing your phone; otherwise the staticy nature of the plastic will attract dust to the screen. This is really the only problem. Finally the case took too much abuse after nearly two years, and I had to replace it. I would recommend this case highly, still.

Bought it to protect my phone in the event of rain, so I can mount it to my bike and ride. Haven’t really done the acid test and dropped it in a bucket of water but that’s mainly because I trust it... my main worry though is rain, not immersion. Beware though... make SURE the little gasket is properly seated in the groove as you assemble it, or you either will wreck the gasket, be unable to close the case properly, or both, and it will offer little to no water damage protection for your phone. Mine was a bit of a struggle but I’m confident it’s assembled right, now.

Yes! Lifeproof cases have saved our iphones on MANY occasions. We are a family that routinely drops phones on hard surfaces and yes, occasionally into toilets. If this is your family as well, Lifeproof is the way to go! Pricey, yes, but when they do eventually wear out I’ve had good experience with the company sending a replacement no charge. We went with the cheapest color we could find and then ordered a “skin” (decorative removable covering- think contact paper for your phone case) in the color/pattern my dtr wanted. This way she can change it out when she gets bored & we saved some $$ on the case itself. Win/win!

Provides decent protection against water, dust, and falls. I wash the case frequently and have submerged it for underwater photos with no leaks. I have always used LifeProof and prefer them to the bulkier OtterBoxes. This model seems less stout than the previous FRE unit I had, but it's about half the price and I actually prefer it. Has a built-in screen protector, which is much better at protecting from scratches than the rubber-to-glass front seal that previous models had. The charging port door/seal seems sturdier and the attached headphone port plug is a big improvement (lost the last one, which was not attached).

This is my third Lifeproof case in the past 5 years and the only reason that I needed to new case is because of the damage that I did to the cases over the years. This case travels well and doesn’t add excessive bulk while providing water, dirt and drop protection. I have had all my cell phones in the Lifeproof cases from the moment they come out of the box and can honestly say that none of my phones have ever had any physical damage as a result. I highly recommend these cases to anyone with children, teenagers and cell phones at the same time.

I almost never leave reviews, but I thought this product warrants one, as it did an amazing job protecting my phone from my 10 week old Saint Bernard. These babies are powerful chewers, so I feared the worst when she stole my phone from under my pillow, hid it in her crate, and went to town on it. But, lo and behold, even though the case was pretty badly chewed, the phone was completely unharmed. I also drop my phone A LOT, from various heights, and on various terrain (life with dogs and children), and this case has handled all of it with aplomb. All in all, highly recommend for clumsy, distracted parents and dog parents
